hi girls,
andie: great haul of eggs, i know its hard seeing the numbers drop but where you are at now is what i got at epu so you are already ahead of me ! i hope the embryos are doing well and the biopsy goes well tomorrow. I hope your frosty thaws out perfectly and can get biopsied too
elle: how is your hand and how is the unpacking going ?
sunbeam: i hope the pill is going ok for you
joeve: thanks for popping in and your baby dust  hope you are doing well
afm: we are back from our trip, hopefully everything is going ok with the follicles, im having my first blood test and scan tomorrow and probably epu thursday, I'm a bit nervous actually because I'm not anywhere as uncomfortable as last time so not sure what i will see tomorrow :crossfingers:
-
Just popping in to say good luck for tomorrow minnie :crossfingers:. I hope that you have lots of nice follies and eggies growing xoxo
-
hi ladies, got an update this arvo that 7 have been biopsied today. 7 was more than i was expecting, so pleased with this result so far. apparently they will test them tomorrow, so wont know until wednesday (day 5) how many are 'normal' & are still going. i would hope we get at least one, and two would be a bonus. going to be another tense couple of days while i wait... ill try and remain hopeful.
minnie - any news from your bt & scan? hope everything is on track for epu thursday. i know we are all respond differently, but this recent stim i didnt feel uncomfortable at all either, and collected 13 eggs. previous stim i could feel a bit going on at the start, then nothing towards the end. i convinced myself i ovulated early, but when FS did a scan to check for me i had 11 follicles still going. apparently your body adjusts to accommodate the follicles during the cycle, so hopefully this is just whats happening with you. goodluck & let us know how you go.
elle - eating chocolate & drinking coffee makes me happy... but im trying to cut back on those while doing ivf! ill have to find something else to keep my mind off things... ;)
hi everyone else. :)
-
*Sneaking in to say congrats to Andie on 7 being biopsied. Its a good number. Lucky 7. Good luck for Wednesday.
Sneaking out...*
-
andie: great news on your biopsy amount :) that's a good number to get tested, was your frosty ok ?
miss.B: thanks for popping in
afm: scan today showed 18 follicles on the right and 9 on the left and estrogen was 9300 which is the highest i have had it so hopefully that means we get close to double figure eggs. Trigger tomorrow night and set for thursday epu
-
thanks, vic. ;)
minnie - wow, great news on your scan. sounds very promising, im pleased for you. :) not sure if my frosty was one of the 7 or not, will find out wednesday.
-
Andie - That's awesome news! Ok, so no coffee and not so much chocolate, hmm... a fave movie? So glad you are remaining hopeful. I hope the time passes quickly and you will have your good news before you know it.
Minnie - Wow!! That's so great! Good luck for the next few days. Looking forward to hearing some good news after your Thurs EPU.
BTW, love the sneaking in for good luck and kind words around here - so sweet!
-
Andie - That's a great number to biopsy and my lucky number too. I am anxious for you, can't wait to hear the news on Wed :crossfingers:
Minnie - I will be keen to see if the other medication makes a difference to your numbers this EPU and that all that jabbing was worth it :goodluck: Your right ovary is a very busy little thing, lefty is obviously a bit more laid back !
Elle - I love coffee and choc too but although I allow myself a little bit of choc each day I am down to one coffee a week, I have it saturday morning and it is amazing how much I get done on a saturday with that caffeine hit!! Where are you up to, are we cycling together? I'm 4th day on the pill which I will stop on the 24th.
-
Sunbeam - Chocolate is definitely a love of mine! I don't have too much though (and I eat the super rich 85% dark choc!). I haven't had any coffee for months now but I do miss that buzz. I wonder if I would be more productive around here with a good caffeine hit... hmmm... I have a BT next Thurs (22nd) to see what my hormones are doing and was told that if everything is baseline, I can start with injections. So I think we will (hopefully) be in this together again!:)

Just a quickie as i am about to go to sleep. Good luck for Thursday Minnie! Sounds like thing are going good and you should get good numbers.
Great to hear you have 7 for biopsy, will be keeping everything crossed for your lil embies. All you need is one, but I was the same in wanting some to freeze.
Hi Elle. Sunbeam & BF xox
-
j.bear: thanks for your thoughts, i hope you are going well :)
andie: anymore details on the embryos ?
elle: I agree it is very sweet that people pop in to wish us luck, its nice to have "stalkers" (supporters) :)
afm: well i have done my trigger, im feeling pretty blah tonight and im sure my vision is starting to get blurry like sunbeam got so im assuming its from the estrogen levels, bring on thursday !
hi to everyone else
-
Andie - Waiting to hear sweetie, I hope its great news. :crossfingers:
Minnie - Big hugs. I hope the E2 does not cause you too many problems.

IVF with PGD #8
hi ladies - results are in, and I think they're pretty good? ended up with 2 normal embryos, 1 of them a hatching blast (first time I've had one of those) which was transferred today. the second will be frozen today. others biopsied embryos were missing chromomes/trisomy etc. FS was very happy with quality of both embryos. i am too and glad we did a pgd cycle, but now nervous that if this one doesn't work as well - what next?! guess I will worry about that later... ; )
minnie - hope you're feeling ok, will be stalking tomorrow to see how you go. goodluck. xx
hi elle, sunbeam, bf & jbear : )
-
Hi ladies!
Andie, good luck with that embie you've got on board! Hope it is burrowing in and making itself a nice home for the next 8 months or so!! My BFP was from a hatching blast, a great sign!!
Minnie, goo dluckfor your EPU!
Hi all you other gorgeous ladies, hope you're doing well!
-
Andie, that's amazing news!! I hope that little embie makes a comfy home in there and you get your long awaited BFP!! Stick, little one, stick!!:D
-
Andie: great news ! :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy: good you have one to freeze also, it was worth doing pgd for you to find those 2 normal ones
thanks everyone, i have been feeling really yuk all day today, the last 2 cycles i have gotten 6 or 7 embryos so i not expecting much different to that tomorrow (but hoping for more of course), i have to be at the hospital at 7am for 8am epu so will update after that

Good luck tomoz Minnie sorry you're not feeling the best, I hope you get good numbers & will check in on you. Xo
-
Good luck, Minnie!! I have everything crossed for you today! Looking forward to hearing your update.:)
-
Hi girls, quick update, I got 18 eggs at epu !!!! How can you go from 6 & 7 to 18 ??! I was so shocked, of course I'm expecting to lose a lot along the way & the fs said if we get 7-10 to test they won't want to do another stim.
Its difficult to put a number on it & of course I don't want to do another stim if I don't have to but I also don't want to regret not doing the 2nd stim.......
I'm feeling pretty sore already so I'm resting up
-
that's awesome minnie!!!!! Have they told you yet how many are mature?
-
IVF with PGD #8
great news, minnie! they were obviously being very conservative telling you 6-7! fingers crossed for fertalisation, 7-10 to biopsy would be wonderful. take care of yourself, 18 is a lot to come out of there! : )
-
Thanks bright future & Andie, they just rang and said we have 13 mature & they have been icsi'd now & they will call tomorrow with fertilization rates. They have also decided to freeze them tomorrow instead of day two.
Andie: the didn't estimate 6-7, I meant in my 1st Ivf cycle I got 7 eggs & in my 2nd I got 6 so I was shocked today that there was such a big increase to 18 ! Hope your little one is snuggling in tight :)
-
***Sneaking in to wish Minnie all the best. I had 5 eggs my first EPU, 8 the second, 17 (of which 9 were mature) the third and 9 the last one. All same meds :dunno:
Wishing Andie all the best too.

oh, ok - got it! did you do anything different this cycle? 13 icsi'd sounds promising. how does your clinic do pgd? (what day do they biopsy & why are they freezing tomorrow). just curious, seems like clinics have different procedures. hope you're still resting. ; )
-
Yay, Minnie!! Great news! Rest up after all that hard work!:)
-
So awesome! I can't wait to hear how many make it to testing, sounds like an AWESOME start!!
-
Fantastic numbers Minnie!!!!! So happy for you lovely, FX for great fert. rates :crossfingers::goodluck: xoxox

IVF with PGD #8
Woo hoo that's impressive Minnie rest up, but keep us posted please :)
-
thanks girls you are all so lovely
vic: its weird isn't it, i was on a lower dose this time but they also added another drug to try and help things
miss.B  thank you gorgeous
andie: the original plan was to take the embryos to day 2 then freeze and then thaw when i got a pgd spot and grow to day 3 to be biopsied. Then today the scientist said they have decided to freeze them tomorrow as (in their opinion) embryos thaw better when they haven't started to divide yet and that if it was a day 2 four cell it might lose a cell in the thaw and then will be behind schedule for biopsy and won't be at the right stage for day 5, i don't know how true that is but thats the theory of my clinic.
also i wanted to say i was given an extra drug this cycle too, from day 3 of gonal f they added in l uveris (all one word) it is meant to improve egg quality, who knows if it made a difference but doesn't seem to have hurt ! It is apparently $140 an injection and you take it daily with the gonal f (so for around 10 days), it hasn't been used much lately because of the cost but it has gone onto medicare now so i didn't have to pay for it
-
Minnie - Fantastic numbers babe I'll be so excited to hear how many fertilize :leap:
Andie - Congratulations on being PUPO (and having one to freeze a great result). Sending heaps and heaps of :stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:. I know I'm getting ahead of myself but will you do a HPT or are you one to wait for a BT? :crossfingers:
Hi everyone else :hello: I hope you are all traveling well.
-
Sneaking it to say great news to both Minnie and Andie :)
Praying it is the month for both of you xx
-
thanks sunbeam and nothing to lose :)
ok girls i need advice, the scientist rang this morning and we have 11 fertilised out of 13 which is great but it causes a dilemma because we aren't sure what to do about the 2nd stim. The scientist said the stats are 75% survive the thaw and then we have to grow them from fertilisation to day 3 for biopsy so we will lose more along the way no doubt, so maybe we will end up with 6 or 7 to biopsy ? The next stim would start in 2 weeks when af arrives (will be a short cycle) and we can't get a pgd spot until at least january anyway, any thoughts ? For those who have thawed embryos how did they go, did you lose 25% of them ?
