Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I'm glad to have found you all.:D
minniemouse - So sorry to hear about your EPU experience. I have everything crossed for you that things go well from here... and that your little boy is feeling better now!
Sunbeam - I think we may end up going through EPU etc at similar times. :)
J.Bear - I would have already POAS if I were you and about now I would be driving myself insane questioning the result, I'm sure. If you can, I reckon it's probably better for your sanity to wait, haha!
It will take me a while to remember everyone's names - but I'll get there!
Elle

J. Bear - you are so patient I'd have been poas for days by now good on you. I hope it's great news when you do.
-
Thanks girls, think i'll see how i go over the weekend. I sort of want to know before i get the call so i'm prepared but if it's negative i don't want to have a pooh weekend stressing and being upset. Looks like you'll be cycle buddies sunbeam & elle, which is good! Hopefully even BFP's together :crossfingers:
Minniemouse - how are you doing today? xo
-
Elle: sorry i didn't welcome you, so :hello: that will be good if you can be a cycle buddy with sunbeam :)
Jbear: i heard from the scientists today, in the end 5 out of the 6 embryos fertilised, they told me on tuesday that one was slow so i chose not to even think about that one and just focused on the 4 we had which did it in the time they should. All 4 made it to day 3 and were biopsied this morning, now we wait some more to see what we get. i hate that i won't know what we have until i turn up for transfer and be told :(
my poor little boy still isn't well but he isn't vomiting anymore, im just hoping i don't get it. Thanks for asking after him
i hope you are dong well joe and bright future
forgot to say i start pregnyl tonight and then i have 2 more doses, i think it will rule me out of POAS this cycle which stresses me out, i can't just wait for the blood test and have them tell me !!
-
Hey Minnie any news on those 4 embies? I hope they are all good healthy ones.
-
I just realized u said that u won't find out until the day of trf? How can they keep u in such suspense!
-
IVF with PGD #8
Jbear: I'm about to go into the clinic, I feel so sick to my stomach I'm so nervous. The results should be in in about 15 mins & transfer is scheduled for 45mins time if there is something to transfer. The scientist said its better to tell you the news in person, I said only if it's good news !! I'd prefer a text message !
Thanks for asking, how are you ? Did you test ?
-
Good luck, minniemouse!! I'm hoping for wonderful news for you...
-
Not good news, all 4 embryos are abnormal so no transfer for me today :(
To look at the embryos they look great, 2 were hatching blasts, 1 a blast & 1 a morula, the fs said if he was just looking at them he would have transferred one back & frozen another 2, so it's better to know even though I'm devastated :(
-
-
I'm so so sorry, minniemouse. Take good care of yourself this weekend!
-
I'm so sorry minnie.....it is good to know what the embies are like but heartbreaking to know that you can't use them. Big hugs xo
AFM - no HPT yet, might do one tomorrow. I'm really chicken so will let u all know tomorrow.
-
Minnie - Huge huge hugs babe, I'm totally devastated for you it is better to know but how disappointing after going through so much
J.Bear - Got everything crossed for tomorrow if you decide to test. Getting any symptoms? :crossfingers:
-
Thanks sunbeam no real symptoms, just a bit tiered & I sometimes feel like AF is coming. It's so hard to know what's what : (
How are you going?
-
Oh Minnie, I'm so sorry hunni  It just goes to show how lovely the embies might look, but you don't know which one is a good one without the testing :(. Big hugs lovely xoxoxo
-
Just sneaking in to tell Minnie how sorry I am that none of your embies were okay to transfer :(
I can't imagine how disappointed you must be.
I think, as MissB said, it's a wake up call to all of us IVFers, that an embie can look "perfect" but not be at all. It just sucks.
Take care
-
thanks girls  we are rather shellshocked tonight, the fs said he would have expected 1 out of 4 to be abnormal not all 4 :(
I thought it couldn't be possible that the 3 m/c's at 6/7 weeks were due to abnormalities but based on today's result it now seems highly likely, i guess in time i will feel better that we probably lost unhealthy embryos but tonight im finding it hard to see any silver lining
nothing2lose: thanks for your thoughts, the fs said 2 were grade "AA" (which im assuming is good), said they couldn't have looked better, so obviously you can't tell just by looking at them which is scary. From the abnormalities he said 3 wouldn't have stuck or would have been chemicals/early miscarriages and the 4th may have gone a bit further but wouldn't have survived either
miss.B & Joeve: thanks for dropping in also
Jbear: good luck if you test tomorrow
-
Hey Minnie it's so tricky with pgd. I had around 20 in my first two cycles & only ever ended up with one to transfer, it's just so unfair. Look after urself & eachother xo
AFM I maned up took a hpt....It was positive....we r refraining from getting excited until we have BT results as we really don't want to get out hopes up.
Hugs all round, will check in tomorrow.
