elle - big congrats, you must be pleased! crossing everything for you. xx
minnie - be sure to log in over the weekend if you test... ;)
sunbeam - how frustrating re: egg donor. i really hope you can get it sorted soon. i think you've waited long enough. xx
alison - best of luck monday, make sure you rest afterwards. my very first epu, i was feeling fine the next day and went back to work. probably not the best idea, was quite sore by the end of the day and ended up taking the next 2 days off! goodluck.
-
alison: i can't believe you are nearly at epu already ! how many days of injections have you had ? I hope you have you perfect little one in there :)
andie: i noticed on another thread you found the sex of your bub, can i ask did the clinic tell you ? i didn't think they were allowed but they all seem to have different rules !
afm: well im cautiously announcing we got a :bfp: this morning, early days but at least we are in with a chance :)

Thanks everyone
Blood test is Tuesday, will see what we get then and I'll try and breathe in the meantime !
-
Yay Minnie congratulations that's fantastic news!!! Wishing you lots of sticky vibes xx. I have been injecting for 10 days now, I'm doing the trigger tonight, are there any side effects from this one?? Also I don't know if I didn't hear right or what but I'msure the nurse said to do my injections as usual (which I do at night) and then havemy trigger at 9.30 pm. What would be the purpose of having the orgalutran though if I'm about to trigger or do I not have it? I guess I should ring and clarify!
-
IVF with PGD # 9
alison - I had 5000iu pregnyl as my trigger, didn't notice any side effects. I'd ring and check if you're unsure about the orgalutran. I had syranel (instead of orgalutran), taken am/pm with last stim & on day of trigger only had to have morning dose. I have done cycles with orgalutran but can't remember now if I took on day of trigger now... I think I did?! Best to ring & check. ; )
-
Thanks Andie - the clinic were closed, rather than call the emergency number I rang my cousin who is an ob/gyn at the same clinic and she said to take the Puregon and Orgalutran a couple of hours earlier than usual because I have to trigger at the time I usually take those. She also gave me some hope and said with my circumstances 2 follies are pretty good - how sad huh ha ha! even funnier is she was scheduled on for egg collection that day but swapped out so she didn't do mine, she said "I don't want to look at my cousin's fanny that's just wrong" ha ha ha. Quietly I'm glad ;)

Lol! Fair enough I guess. ; )
-
minnie - That is so wonderful!! Sending you a tentative but very happy CONGRATULATIONS!! Bring on Tuesday!!
Alison - Great news!! I hope your trigger goes (or went) well tonight. Fingers crossed for Monday! (And haha about your cousin; probably a good call):)
Did anyone see the news about the special new embryo fluid? Just heard it will be available from Monday and increases chance of IVF being successful by 26% (that was what was said on our local coverage, anyway)! What a breakthrough!!
-
Woo hoo minnie !!!! Congratulations lovely, wishing you many, many sticky vibes hun xoxox
-
Thanks girls :)
Line slightly darker today, going to try and wait until Tuesday for anymore tests !
Alison: good luck tomorrow, hope it goes well !
Elle: how are you going ?
 to everyone
-
minnie - That's such great news! Tomorrow it is...!! :)
Alison - Thinking of you and hoping all is going well!
Sunbeam - Any word from your potential donor yet? I hope all is well with you (and that you are taking good care of yourself!).
AFM - Well, I don't know how I am... I'm driving myself crazy really. Have just been taking it easy; the really bad pains settled right down and have just had dull cramping and lower back pain over the weekend. Today I'm feeling pretty good so far. I POAS this morning (BFN). Trigger is definitely out of my system but now I'm starting to wonder if a positive should be showing if we were successful (5dp5dt). Of course my searching endeavours have left me even more confused. I have read so many different opinions/stories, varying from 'it is way too early to test' to 'I'm clearly out, BFN for me'. Aaargh! I'm just really feeling the pressure...
-
Hi girls
Minnie - Hugest congrats sweetie. Can't wait to hear tomorrows bt results :leap:
Alison - I hope today's EPU was a success.
Elle - I would not be stressing over a BFN at 5dp5dt. I am so hoping that little line appears for you in the next day or two. :crossfingers:
AFM - Sorry I have not been in much but things had been not going so well here. I have not heard a word from my potential egg donor, nothing!!:wall: Seriously why do people do that? I'd be totally understanding if she just let me know she'd changed her mind, but to say nothing just seems so rude. On a far more positive note I have spoken to Donor Daddy and he has assured me he is very happy for us to wait so that my gorgeous friend (no names yet but she is a BB member) can be our egg donor. She has recently had a bub so we will have to wait several months. From our conversation tonight it seems we are both more than happy to wait, one to have a well deserved break and two so that we can use the egg donor we really want :D
Since I won't be trying for a while I'll be mostly MIA but rest assured I will be stalking to see how you all are. Wish you all heaps of luck, hopefully by the time I'm back here you will all be UTD and in other threads :grouphug:
-
Hi Sunbeam - that is sooooo rude I'm really sorry, heaven forbids she should ever find herself in the same position to understand how tenderhooks this whole process is. Not cool donor not cool! Yay to your other options though, and the rate I'm going I'll be joining you as things might take months here anyway!!! Keep in touch won't you xx
AFM - well everyone, EPU today and my goodness what could go wrong did. I swear bad luck follows me around!!! So we get to the clinic, I'm 3rd on the list so they decided to do a quick scan and guess what, one of my 2 dominant follices had already collapsed!!!!! Waaaaaaaah! The smaller of the remainder too was only 13mm (is it mm's?) so they weren' t too hopeful and even asked if I'd like to cancel. My heart sank when she said that but I decided I'd come all that way (1 hour's drive, got my 3 year old up at 5.45 am) to get there and god damn it I was going in with 1 because next time I could get none! Anyway, then I went to my room waiting, only for the doctor to tell me the power had gone out (it's 41 degrees here today) and they were running on generators and wouldn't be able to operate until they were up and running. What!!!! 9.30 am comes, my 36 hours from trigger is up and I'm panicking that the remainining good follicle was going to rupture at any moment. They were about to transfer me to another hospy when the power was fixed so they rushed me ahead of everyone else and took me in. I went in thinking I was doomed basically. Woke up, nurse said we got 2 - I thought i was hearing things, went down to the embryologist and she said, guess what, we got 3 eggs and all 3 are mature!!! OMG I nearly passed out. There was another follicle hiding that never once showed on the scan, wonder if my retroverted uterus has anything to do with that?! Anyway, I am so over the moon - I know it's only 3 but hey it's better than the 1 I was expecting! My cousin who also works at the clinic told me that I'd be made to do the PGD on less than 3 eggs so there is a possibility, depending on how the next cycle goes to have to go a 3rd which sux, the waiting in between irritates me, it's going to be 8 weeks probably by the time I get my period, go another cycle and then start again boo hoo but I guess you never know, I might get more eggs next time. The more the better huh! So, now I just have to pray that they fertilize, I know it would take a miracle to get all three and possibly even two but hope to goodness there's at least one in the mix, we're have ICSI so hopefully that will help things. I will find out Wednesday how it's all looking.
So there you go, never a dull moment in my life I tell you but it's good to know that they don't always know everything, smaller follicle still = mature egg to work with and 3 (original) follicles turned into 4 with one hiding! I'll probably come crashing down on a low when they call Wednesday but for now I'm taking the good news as positive as I haven't had a lot of good news lately. Exhausted and a little bit ouchy so might go get some protein into me and head to bed.
How's everyone else travelling?
-
Just sneaking in to say good luck with your BT tomorrow minnie!
Oh my goodness Alison, what a day! I'm so happy that you got your 3 eggies, yay!!!!! Now I'll keep everything crossed for you for great fert rates hun, will be praying very hard hard
-
sneaking in-
minnie- good luck!!! :goodluck:
sunbeam- thats is unbelieveable, how immature, why do you get stuffed around so much. I wish i had good eggs, i would give you some in a heartbeat. Great about Donor Daddy and potential donorxxxx
alison- what a saga, best of luck and congrats on 3!
-
Thanks Miss B and Saffy :)
Good luck today Minnie look forward to hearing how it went.
AFM - just got off the phone from the embryologist, all 3 eggs fertilized, I am in shock yet again! Next hurdle is for them to now divide, I know I'll have to be super lucky for all 3 to do their thing but I will be just as happy with at least one, but obviously gunning for all 3. Gosh this is a mind blast isn't it this whole process.

IVF with PGD # 9
alison - I can't believe your epu saga, you poor thing! great news about your potential 3 though, I hope they continue for you.
minnie - best wishes for today. : )
sunbeam - how disappointing your egg donor has not got back to you. maybe she just feels bad bc she changed her mind... still, she could at least text you back. not cool. your current plan with your bb friend sounds great though... I hope you can enjoy the next few months off from ttc. xx
elle - hang in there, I know the tww sucks. xx

IVF with PGD # 9
Alison: my gosh what an ordeal you had but great news on the 3, keep growing little embies !!
Miss. B: thanks for popping in and thinking about me hun :)
Saffy thank you too, I was freaking out thinking it can't possibly work so I'm doing my best to think about you and your girl and reminding myself it does work sometimes !
Elle: how are you feeling ?
Well the clinic rang & all is looking good, hcg is 166 & progesterone is 127 !! I want progesterone pessaries but they said the dr is unlikely to agree at that level, it makes me a bit nervous to go without but i don't want them if I don't need them either, what are your thoughts ?
-
Minnie that's fantastic news!!!!! 127 for progesterone is excellent, on 3 pessaries a day at highest mine was in my pregnancies was 87 in the early days so I don't think you need it at this stage. They said they like to see it above 50 in the early stages. Hope that makes you feel a little better. Now, keep growing little one, keep growing!!! xx
-
IVF with PGD # 9
minnie - fabulous news, been waiting all day! im so pleased for you after everything you've been through. personally i would take the progesterone till at least 6 weeks. you probably don't need it but it doesn't do any harm. my level came back high also & my FS just wanted me to continue everything 'just in case'. I think I reduced my dose after a couple weeks (from 3 per day, to 1 per day). then got it re-tested to make sure 1 per day was enough. im very conservative though, and so is my FS. congrats! Xx

IVF with PGD # 9
Fantastic results Minnie, I am soooo happy for you! I continued with the progesterone until the pack I had was empty, which from memory was about five days after my BT.
-
hi everyone,
thanks for the sticky vibes and well wishes :grouphug:
elle: are you testing ? fingers crossed for you
andie: are you the 3rd or 4th boy in a row in here ?
sunbeam: the whole donor egg thing is so complicated, i hope you sort something out soon
Alison: any update on your embies ?
joeve: im stalking you !
afm: the fs said no to progesterone so i have asked for twice weekly blood tests to make sure the level stays ok, next blood test is fri, i hope the numbers are going up
-
Hi Minnie - it's so hard to relax isn't it, I hope the blood tests can bring you some relief - I'd be feeling the same as you! Let us know how the bt goes on Friday, I have every single ounce of my body crossed for you xx
AFM - well I have some fabulous news, I ended up having to call the clinic because I never heard from them yesterday and the stress of not knowing was giving me heart palpitations lol. They totally forgot to call and felt so bad but all 3 embies have made it to day 2 and divided as necessary, 2 at 4 cells and 1 at 5 cells so they have put them on ice ready for PGD next cycle (hopefully). Cannot believe it and I'm too scared to get too excited as I know it's so so early but I have had nothing go my way for so long now this is giving me just a little hope at least. She said it's awesome to get 3 out of 3 so I was happy with that, now all I need to hope is that it's quality over quantity hey!!!! Feeling pretty crap though, they have told me to drink 3 litres of water and I'm a terrible water drinker, I'm trying but i'm really struggling but I'm so bloated I feel like my tummy is going to burst and I'm very crampy, is that all normal? I don't know what to worry about, what's leftovers and what's the Provera as I've not been on that before either. Plus I'm in the Clexane injections. Hope I feel better tomorrow as I'm starting to worry a bit.
Hope everyone else is doing well xx
-
Hi everyone :)
Alison: yay for your little embies, are you going straight into another cycle ?
Elle: any news ?
I had my blood test today, hcg went from 166 to 557 & progesterone (without pessaries) went from 127 to 420 !! I couldn't believe it !! So all looking good for now
-
alison - great news on the embryo's, hope you're feeling a bit better today.
minnie - wow, great numbers! really pleased for you. xx
-
Hi girls!
It's been a while since I checked in and oh my god so much has happened! Huge congrats to Minnie and Allison!! You beautiful ladies give me so much hope :)
I finally Oed today and have my transfer date of Thursday for little nemo. Which is my wedding anniversary, and I got offered a great (more family friendly) job yesterday, and I just found out they will be using the new medium for thawing that has like a 98 percent thaw rate. Um thanks universe, I get the hint...this is meant to be!
-
Hi ladies!
minnie - Your numbers sound great! So happy for you!!
Alison - That's amazing - your story and the result! Nice work! When are you planning another cycle?
babymama - What a great update! Best of luck for Thursday. Sending loads of sticky vibes for Nemo!
Sunbeam - Sorry about your latest stresses. The outcome sounds like it might be really positive though; you seem to have a lot of support in your new journey (and if the potential donor is/was not trustworthy, best to know now before going any further). I hope that everything goes your way after your well-deserved break. Sending you big hugs!
Hi Andie, JoeSpratt, J.Bear...!
AFM - I can't believe I can actually say this, but I'M PREGNANT!! I found out yesterday afternoon and we are so so thrilled! It still feels so surreal, really hard to believe it is all actually happening. I haven't shared a whole lot of my story here but it has been a really long, painful journey and I think it will take a while for it to sink in. Fingers crossed that this little one stays and grows and continues to be a good little emby :). My levels yesterday (9dp5dt) were HCG: 144, Prog: 160. I don't know too much about the levels, except that I was told they were looking good so far (??). I have another BT on Tuesday to check levels again and make sure all is progressing well. Eeeeeeee :D
