Take it easy Dutchie, when do you start your stims? Should help with the headaches.
Also have you tried AP for headaches? My friends swear by it, and I love it for relaxation.

Hi gals
Thanks for thinking of me, I did post a nice long post last night, and my modem froze . Grrr
At work, so just a quick one to say Hi, in the scheme of things I am not too bad, on 2 crinone a day, so have absolutly no idea what cm is doing, and the symptoms it can produce are nausea and headache's and I have both. The nausea is so slight, first thing this morning as soon as I opened my eyes, I thought, is that nausea I can feel. I wonder if I am going nuts, a quick google of crinone, confirmed its a side effect, so you know how it is girls, I just have to wait .. wait .. and hope...
Babydust to everyone xx
Hi girls,
Dusty- Thanks for that. I started stims on saturday but I'm still on the synarel aswell. I love AP too and it has helped me in the past with headaches and stress, fortunately I have an appt tomorrow arvo, I'll be needing it because my scan today was just a tad disappointing
WLAB- Glad to hear your travelling along ok, gotta love those crinone side effects. Sending you the stickiest of sticky vibes.
A big hello to everyone else
AFM- Today is day 6 of stims and my first u/s this morn showed only 5 follicles with only one of them being of a decent size (I don't have the measurement didn't ask I was too disappointed) :wall::wall::wall: this is exactly what I feel like I'm doing. I'm not happy going to EPU with one decent sized follicle. That means at best 1 egg and I can't do that again. Last cycle that happened my lone ranger didn't fert and I obviously didn't get to TF- I just can't do that again. I wonder if I should ask if we should forget the biggest one and try and get the smaller ones to catch up. I have read on another board of a woman who did this, so it IS possible, I just don't know I'm not a freakin' FS.
I'm just getting so frustrated with this and the fact the the clinic is unwilling to try anything different just adds to my frustration. At my last appt with FS, they mentioned there is a protocol that will help the follicles grow at a more even, steady rate, I'm going to be asking what that is and why we haven't tried it yet. I believe that my problem is related to my high fsh- I always have follicles (and I'd be happy with 5 follies of a decent size) but I always have one dominant or lead follie that hogs all of the fsh and the rest haven't got a hope of catching up. Grrrrr I just don't know anymore, maybe a change in clinics is necessary. Thanks for listening to my mammoth winge.
Dutchie - I can so totally relate to what you are saying . If it helps, my last scan prior to retrieval on CD 11, showed 1 dominant follicle and 3 smaller ones and a number of really small ones. I managed to get 4 eggs at retrieval but just learned that only 2 fertilized. It is incredibly disappointing...but I'm telling you this because it is possible that you may get more than the 1 egg. I've also done a cycle on clomid only knowing that 1 egg was likely, and I did only get 1 egg but I got pregnant...miscarried due to a trisomy, but it was a pregnancy from 1 egg!
I'm curious about letting the 1 go to let the others catch-up - have you asked anyone about this? Also, what is that other protocol to promote more even, steady growth? and why don't they use it...wonder if it is more monitoring for them?? which is not a good reason for not doing it!
Are you allowed to say what clinic/location you go to?
My FS has done this hun. We sacrificed the big one in the hope that the little uns would catch up. It really is a decision for your FS and one you can talk to him/her about. I know how frustrating it is when you don't know what to do but your FS isn't being forthcoming or leading the way with suggestions.
Ulitmately the decision is up to you. A change can be helpful, especially if you feel you are not getting anywhere. Perhaps set up an appointment with a new FS to hear what ideas they may have for your case and treatment before making any decision. GPs are normally happy to provide referrals to get a second opinion.
I hope you don't have to go down the path of another cycle, but also understand the realities of your situation as it is very similar to mine.
Enjoy your AP tomorrow.
dutchie i am so sorry that this is happening hun xxx
i wish i had some advice to help you out
just know that i am thinking of you and i am here if you need to talk
lots of love and kisses xoxoxox
How did you go today M2C?
Hi WLAB,
Wishing you all the best with this cycle and lots of babydust. I will try to answer any questions you may have.
Sending lots of sticky vibes. :bluedust::stickyvibesgirl:
You ladies are just the best, so supportive, it really warms my heart.
Dusty- I'm curious as to what happened to your smaller follies after sacrificing the largest. Did your smaller ones catch up? How many days of fsh did it take to get them to a decent size?
I also think that at the very least a second opinion from another FS is a very good idea. My thinking is I will probably make an appt asap (I'm not sure how long it will take to get in to see them) and get a second opinion/ideas/recommendations to take to my current FS.
Buliej- I'm not sure of the protocol they use to grow the follicles at a more steady even rate. They were very vague and said that they had a protocol but didn't elaborate with details, just saying they wanted to see how this next flare pans out. :wall:
I know I only need one good egg (my sis said that today too bless her), I just wish it didn't have to come down to that. I think I'm going to get a second opinion from Monash.
I have my fingers crossed that your 2 lil embies continue to grow nicely. Two really is good but I know it's so disappointing though as you have such high hopes for ALL of your eggs.
M2C (cycle bud)- Thanks hun, I just hope you are having a much better response than me, though I'm sure you are.
AFM- Update from me, nurses rand and have instructed me to keep going with the jabs and re-scan on monday. I am happy with this as I was expecting them to ring and tell me to have jabs today, tomorrow and Sat. morn, trigger Sat night with EPU on Monday. This is how my previous 2 flares went so I'm really happy they're going to try and let the smaller ones play catch up  Now I just hope and pray that they do actually catch up. My lining needs to to aswell it was only 4.8.
dutchie i am so happy that there going to let you go a few days longer :) i have EVERYTHING crossed that it all turns out great for you
wlab- sending you lots and lots of sticky vibes hun, hope the side effects give you a little break, i hate crinone gel lol
buliej- i hope everything goes well for you hun xx
dusty- thank you so much for checking in on me :) your an amazing woman who gives such wonderful support and help, its people like you that make bb they way that it is, so thanks hun
afm- i was just about to write that i havent got the results and that i probably wouldnt have them tillmorning, but the phone just rang and i need to have another bt in the morning, if my levels have doubled then there going to drop my injections to 175 ( i am on 200 atm) as there worried i might over stim, but they did this crap last time and as you all know i only got 2 eggs, in a way i just wish they would leave it alone. as soon as i have the results which will probably be around this time tomorrow i will let you know :)
Fingers crossed for you M2C .Can't wait to hear about your results.
m2c - sounds like you're still doing really well - don't freak out...you are still comfortably within range..they are obviously watching you carefully ... so here's to some lovely eggies from you missy!!
Dutchie - I often have to 'cook' a day or two or three longer - usually to better results...so here's hoping you're on your merry way...
Dusty - let's say..not so great today.
WLB - thinking of you honey...hope you're staying sane..
Hi to all me lovelies...
They just continued to grow until they were at a size we could trigger. The big one was past about 22mm by that stage and overcooked. I have always stimmed for longer than average because I had such crap response to stims (on my last own cycle it was for 17 days and they got 1 egg (from only 2 follies) but on average I stimmed for about 14 days).
GL hun. It is good they are keeping an eye on your levels, did you ask how many follies you had and what your E2 level was? You are completely entitled to be told.
 I hope tomorrow can be a better one. Thinking of you.
BTW I have just learnt to multi-quote so am doing lots of practicing ;)
Thanks heaps Dusty, I guess we'll just have to wait and see how the smaller ones are on monday but I'm more than prepared to sacrifice the largest. I appear to be a really poor responder myself so I'm glad they're letting me go for a bit longer this time, hopefully it improves my results.
 for multi quoting, I was wondering how to do that, might have to have a play around myself.
MsP- It's good to know that continuing for extra days can improve results, thanks so much for sharing that with me.
M2C- Good luck with your BT results today, I'm thinking of you.
dutchie- how are you going hun? have been thinking of you heaps xxx
msp & dusty - thanks for all your support you girls are awesome ;)
wlb hope your doing well and resting as much as you can xxx
afm - my E2 levels have doubled over night, they were 2000 and there now 4096 so they want to drop my injections down to 150iu, but i am worried that there being to cautious "again" and i am scared that i am not going to make a nice batch of eggs or that they might cancel on me again. i dont know anything about levels when it comes to ivf but they dont seem to hight to me? i have my first scan on monday, so hopefully we will know then whats going on. i really dont know what to think?? i just wish we could leave my injections at 200iu and see what happens cos i thought E2 levels have to be around 20 000 or something to be considered a risk of OHSS, i am pretty sure i read on here that one of the ladies got 23000 and she ohss and i am pretty sure bw had some high levels like that when she ohss, mine are only at 4096?? i dont understand what he is worried about???? why cant things ever go to plan?????
Hi M2C- I'm sorry I can't be of help to you regarding E2 levels, my clinic never does BT (except at the start of cycle) so I never know what my E2 is.
I have my fingers crossed for your scan on Monday, hoping you have lots of follies. My next scan is on monday aswell.
M2C it is better to err on the side of caution when your E2 levels are doubling like that. They can go up pretty quickly when they are doubling overnight. A reduction of 50 may just level out your levels and get you some nice plump good quality follies without having OHSS. It is a delicate balancing game for some people and I am glad they are observing your levels closely, it is a good sign.
It seems Monday is going to be a big day. GL Dutchie too with your scan.
