well after two failed attempts, the doctor telling me that he's neddle-phobic and the crazy sydney weather, I finally had a blood test done! Will get the results tomorrow morning and have to do another test on Thursday to ensure hormone levels are going up. Am trying not to stress about it, but need to stay away from the internet so I don't google myself into a frenzy...

hcg 120, Doc is happy and I'm waiting to do another test tommorow to see if the levels rising properly. This is where I had problems last year, the levels weren't rising and it was all over by week 6.

Dutchie, how are you going lovey? When do you start your next round? Hope you're well, have been thinking of you.

Babytruj & Possums thank you for your kind words. Please keep everything crossed for a little bit long

    xx

anyos, quietly very excited for you here, though I understand your nervousness. Sending you many doubling vibes hun and I have all my crossables crossed for the next 8ish months. I really wish you the very best sweets and will check up and follow your progress.

I should update my blog but just wanted to let you know that last cycle was another bust with me deciding not to go to EPU as I was at risk again of only getting 1 maybe 2 eggs and the fear of not getting to TF again was just too much for me so decided to get out. This was most likely my last IVF cycle for some time as IVF is just not working for me it seems, and I cant keep putting myself through the heartache of doing cycle after cycle without a TF. I have been very quiet and mainly lurking as last cycle was a lot to get over being that it is our last for a while atleast. DP has his surgery on the 17th to try and fix blockage so that will be our next step and focus.

I still follow your progress girls and cheer you on quietly from the sidelines, I'm just not actively posting right now but I hope to again sometime in the new year.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a happy and safe new year. Baby dust and sticky vibe galore!

anyos- fingers crossed...things sound good so far...i know what you mean though, I have experienced slow rising hcg and it can be scary from then on...

dutchie- big hugs, I am so sorry to hear that, it must be so tough to go through so much and then not get a transfer ...it's just not fair. all the best for your DP surgery ...take care of you

Anyos, sounds good so far. Have a relaxing Christmas, and don't stress too much. Hoping everything stays strong for you.

Good luck everyone else, whatever stage you are at.

I just started first IVF cycle... I started Lucrin injections yesterday, so finally feel like things are moving in the right direction for us. Just hope and pray try number 1 works well!! I am a little nervous as am unsure what things will be like, but then maybe not knowing is better, and take each day at a time....

    Hi All,

Quick question. I am about to start my first ICSI cycle. I started spotting yesterday but today it is still light and looks like it will turn into full flow tonight. I know that once you start a full flow you are to call the nurse and go in for a blood test to check that hormone levels are ok and the injections can be started.

I'm scared that if i start my period tonight that once i get the blood test in the morning that I will be too far into the cycle to start? not sure if anyone else freaked out about this but I really want to start this month otherwise i will have to start next yr which is obviously more expensive!

Hoping that all hormone levels will be ok tomorrow morning if i start tonight.

When did everybody get their period and then have their first blood test to determine if they could start the cycle?

My FS told me day 1 or 2 of the cycle. So you should be ok tomorrow morning. I think spotting isn't considered day 1, so today's light flow is probably day 1. Can you call your FS?

thanks babytruj.. the spotting has been yesterday and today but its not even red yet.. still that light brown colour.. i'm hoping it will start properly during the night and i will go for blood test in the morning..

i don't want to be an annoying patient just yet.. hehe.. but yes will call FS in the morning.. i dont normally spot for 2 days before i start though so its strange.. we'll see what happens.

thanks again for your advice! all the best! =)
