Sonya, I have noticed twinges after my second injection. But I think you are right, and we are very sensitive to any little ache or twinge that we feel during a stim cycle. Whether it's related to your first injection or not, I have no idea! ;) I'm sure you will feel definite movement down there in a couple of days and have no doubt about what it is.
-
Good luck today Megan - will be praying for all your answers xx
-
thinking of you Megan, and hoping you have a very productive and positive appointment with your FS today
-
best wishes for you appt today megan. here's hoping for some answers and a positive game plan!
-
Honestly, I don't know what to feel at the moment after this morning's appointment.
Among the tests that were done, were a number of blood clotting tests. I have very hight prothrombin time. The normal range is 12-24 and my number is at 44. So, he tells me it takes a long time for my blood to clot. I was a bit surprised, as I would have thought I would have noticed by the age of 32 and million blood tests.
He arranged for his receptionist to book me in asap to see a hematologist at Cabrini next week. He will probably re-run all the tests and we'll go from there. No more cycling from me until this is sorted out. Hopefully it wont take too long. My FS also said that he honestly doesn't know if this is a factor in my unsuccessful cycles. I just dont know. I have done some reading since coming home and none of it is going in my brain due to lack of sleep and concentration span at the moment!
I also have high Protein C levels, but he didn't seem too concerned about that at the moment.
Does anyone else know about any of this stuff?
-
Megan, I guess it must feel like a bit of a let down to only be left with more questions at this stage, but there is still the hope that this may be the final answer to all the problems when the investigations are complete. With the protein C stuff, is it "C reactive protein", or something slightly different?
BW
-
Megan - wish i could help you out hun, but i'm more clueless than normal today! waaay overtired. i know it may seem like a bit of a stop to your treatment, but anything that gives you answers is a good thing. hoping you can get a lot more (understandable) information and move forward soon
BG
-
BW, not sure if it's c reactive protein. He didn't go into much detail on that one. All I remember on my order for all the tests was that it said Protein C & S. I have given up googling everything. It hurts my brain tonight and I think it's just confusing me more. I will just have to wait for my appt with the hematologist on Thursday when hopefully things will be a bit clearer. I also see my naturopath next weekend so will be interested to hear what she has to say.
BG, I know how you feel today...way overtired and feeling clueless! lol That's been me all week and I feel like I can barely string two words together.
Hope you two girls are travelling well in your TWW's! :)
After my appointment today I had a mini meltdown in the car, went back to work and they ended up sending me home. Have been under a bit of pressure at work lately and feeling like I can't cope with both work and all this AC and now other health concerns. It comes in waves. One day, I want to work to keep my mind busy and other days I just want to throw it all in so that I can deal with all this stuff.
-
Megan, hun - I don't have any answers for you, I don't know anything about the BT... but I just want to let you know I'm here for you and thinking of you xxx
I know how you feel about one day keeping busy, and the next day trying to focus and needing the time to do so
Damn this AC, its so hard sometimes... I'm praying that it all makes sense for you when you see the specialist next week.
Thinking of you xxx

Hi everyone
Sorry I haven't been around to post much over the last few days - work has gone from being very busy to bezerk since mid week. There was a big blow up about a project I am working on which has just slowed everything down so much and now I spend my life in meetings with legal people, media advisers, bosses etc etc. Which means I can't actually do the job I should be doing!! AAAHHHH:wall::wall::wall: So Megan I know exactly how you are feeling at the moment! I wish I could just take a long holiday from work and concentrate on AC and being healthy and de-stressed. The problem with my stress is that I don't realise that it is happening to me. My DF pointed out to me on Friday that I need to learn to relax more and not be in control of everything, which is great, but I can't help feeling that because all of the AC stuff happens to me that I have to do the best I can for this cycle to be successful!
Anyway, I am rambling now, so off to some personals then a quick update from me.
Megan - I am sorry that you seem to have more questions than answers at the moment. Good luck with your appt on Thursday. My thoughts are with you
Holly - are you off for CD21 test tomorrow? I hope your bt goes better than mine did yesterday - while it was quick it was a bit painful, probably because it is so cold here in the mornings, and then wriggling the needle around to get the best flow doesn't help, and then a twist getting it out - OUCH! Good luck with you results hun!
Hi BG and BW - hope your TWW is going well. Will have to pop across to your journals. Hope you are both having a relaxing weekend.
PP and Sonya - hi. Hope you are both well.
After having to make special arrangements for an urgent b/t on Saturday morning, and then stressing about whether my levels would be okay to go ahead this month, we are starting another cycle! I had the mother of all headaches all day yesterday - even an afternoon nap and relaing in front of some movies didn't get rid of it. So I had my first Synarel spray this morning and start on the puregon tonight. So I am not that far behind you Sonya! Here's hoping number 3 will be our lucky number!:pray:
Anyway, I have another visitor arriving on Tuesday so I am off to do some more washing, ironing and cleaning. I have sent DF out to the shops and he will do his part of the cleaning tomorrow, after his assignment is submitted. Sometimes it is very hard with both of us studying! I have also sent him out to get some panadeine to try to get rid of this headache. Surely it can't be from the Synarel already?
Take care all
Chez

Hi Everyone :D
Just a quick update on me as my student is running late and I have a few minutes ;)
So, had my CD21 Bt today :hooray: FINALLY!!! Its only taken 3 months to get there!!!
Everything went well - I think I was there for approx 5 mins maybe?!!!
A long way to go for 5 mins, but it will be worth it if it gives us any further direction for our next cycle.
Will just be getting DH to do his sample prob next week (they only do the one that Dr S wants on Wednesdays on the Central Coast, and he has a million things to do this week!)
The lady that took my blood asked me if it was for Dr S - she said ' I thought so, he seems to be the only Dr that requests this test'.. she also said that he gets amazing results and I couldn't be in better hands, so thats comforting!
If he has a rep with the pathology staff, he must be on to something!!! ;)
Will pop back on tonight for personals as I hear my student arriving.... :D
-
Hi everyone!
It has been ages since I have been in here. So it is abit hard to catch up.
Just wanted to send many sticky vibes to those in the TWW.
And much babydust to all...
-
had 7 days of puregon 150 now. another dose tomorrow and first blood test before scans start. have to get more synarel as well. yucky stuff!
will chat more soon, a bit achy and very tired...
-
Welcome back Vicki :) Nice to see you again its been a while ;)
Sonya - I'm thinking of you hun xxx
Hoping that your results are perfectly on track - and I sympathise with you re the synarel
It will all be worth it in the end hun!!! :D
-
Hi Everyone
Just popping in to wish you all lots of luck and baby dust...slowly working towards joining in again soon...lots of love
-
Vicki and Ellie, it is so nice to see you both again!
Ellie, I've been thinking about you a lot over the last few days, wondering how you're going and if things are ok.
Meanwhile... going slightly mad with the TWW, the evil P4 pessaries, the obsessive undie checks, etc, etc, etc... I think I need my straitjacket tightened! Someone wanna take care of that for me?
BW
-
consider it tightened BW - now, do you want to return the favour??
-
Sure, BG. Consider yourself very firmly strapped in.
I had a moment last night when I was absolutely dead certain that this cycle was turning pear shaped. My breasts were nowhere near as sore as they had been before... Duh! That might have had something to do with the two panadeine I took because my ovaries are hurting like hell again! :wall:
BW
-
Try and keep sane, lovely ladies! ;)
I'll tighten straightjackets on BOTH your accounts!!! :p
Not long to go now.. can't wait for a brilliant outcome for you both xxx
Ellie - So nice to see you around... hoping you'll be back to join us soon
-
keep sane??? Holly, are you nuts?? i wasn't sane to start with! it's just the depth of the insanity that has increased this week....
am still unsure myself as to what is happening. i want soooooo badly to know, but at the same time, i'm too scared to test!
-
I've gotta agree with BG. Sanity was doubtful before we even started!
I think this morning things are pretty clear that this one is heading the same way as the chemical pregnancies I've had in the past. :crying:
BW
-
don't make me start on the negative attitude lecture again BW! remember, i gave you a fair butt kickin last week!!!
you are less than four weeks into a potential pregnancy - no matter what you've experienced in the past, this is a new attempt, a new scenrio - it doesn't have to be the same as the previous ones. you don't have to have the symptoms from hell! just BREATHE and wait on test results. if you write this off before you even get to testing, you're doing yourself a huge injustice
how many women don't even know they're pregnant until several weeks later?
-
There's a difference between having symptoms ease a little and having all symptoms completely bugger off. Maybe I'm assuming too much, but having had symptoms incredibly early with three pregnancies, I'm going to assume that it will happen with all of them... and with the chem. pgs, all symptoms pretty much completely buggered off around this point, too. :(
I don't think it's being negative, I think it's just being realistic. But feel free to kick away if you really think it will achieve something, BG.
BW

BW & BG, I can't believe you girls are on the home stretch of your TWW's now. Time has run away from me this week.
I hope your little embies are tucked in tight for the long haul. Looking forward to hearing the results of your blood tests (whenever they may be!! ;) )
I am having a big freak out again unfortunately. I saw the hematologist this afternoon and he is stumped at my results....and he charged me $210 to not give me any answers. Simply sent me back to have the bloods done again. I ring him on Monday for the results. Crossing everything that it has all just been a big mistake and I can relax. If they come back still highy abnormal I have to go back for more testing and procedures (what procedures, I dont know as I was too scared to ask at that point).
I'm flip flopping between being positive that everything will be fine, and the other extreme where I am terribly ill and there is something really wrong with me. Then starts the crying, which in turn makes DH upset because he doesn't want to think about the negatives. It has been over 3 weeks since the initial blood tests were done. I dont know how much more of this waiting I can take. It's not even about TTC anymore, and that scares me more than anything.
-
MEGAN - take care of yourself. bummer about the constant questions and brick walls getting in your way. i hope some sort of answers crop up for you and dh soon
BW & BG - i would tighten your strait jackets but im tangled up in my own at the moment. AC is such a constant 'wait' and guessing game. please keep your chin up girls. you are my idols and i only endeavour to have the courage and strength you have always shown.
ELLIE - so wonderful to hear you still pop in now and then. i constantly think of you and hope one day in catching up face to face. best wishes for you both and lots of 's
HOLLY - hope the good news keeps on coming!
ME- day 8 of puregon. first BT today. gotta go back monday for another BT and first ultrasound. was hoping sooner, but at least its a little step forward.
quick question - for those who have had puregon, how much pain in the tummy did you suffer. i still have at least 4 more days of injections and am feeling very sore. i know this means im cooking some eggs, but i dont want to ignore any symptoms. my pain actually hinders how fast i can walk and its just so constant! if this is normal then i will just soldier on in silence.
-
Sonya, that's been fairly normal for me... however, you really don't want cycles like mine! I did find that it wasn't nearly as bad this cycle, even though it did slow me up a bit, it was nothing like the pain of previous overstimmed cycles. Definitely talk to your clinic. Be a pain if necessary, but make sure they take you seriously.
Megan, I'm sorry there were no answers this time. It's so frustrating not knowing what's wrong, and I know the fear that goes along with it all too well. I hope things become clearer very soon.
I'm going to go crash now that DH is finally home from playing with trains.
BW
-
sonya, i found my abdomen felt very heavy and bloated, but not painful as such - but i think everyone is very different in how they respond - hoping it stays tolerable and youhave some fantastic results on Monday
megan - i'm so sorry to hear you're still in limbo. hope you get some answers soon!
-
Megan - I'm so sorry you still don't have the answers :(
Its just way too easy for me to say 'stay positive'... so I won't, I'll stay positive for you hun
Don't let yourself think too far ahead - I have no doubt that you are not really ill - it'll turn out to be something little sweetie ;)
Lots of love to you two crazy girls in the 2ww!!! :p
Sonya - I can't help you with the puregon, I've only ever had gonal f... Hoping that things settle down for you xxx
Praying for lots & lots of happy news in here over the next week

Hi lovely ladies
Sorry I have been absent - these drugs are making me very tired :(
A big hi to everyone!
Vicki and Ellie - haven't seen you ladies around for so long. Take care of yourselves and looking forward to hearing more from you both.
BW - I am sorry to hear that you are having negative feelings. I really hope that things turn out for the best for you.
BG - I hope you are doing ok in the TWW as well. Resist the urge to POAS - you know they never work ;)
Sonya - I am not that far behind you. I am on day 6 of puregon today. This is my first time on puregon - I have had a bit of bloating, but then I did on the gonalF as well, and it tends to come in the afternoon and is fine by morning. I can feel changes in my ovaries but don't have any real pain like you have described. I think you need to talk to your clinic if you are still concerned.
Holly - hope all is going well with you. Did you b/t results come back all ok? Hope the business is continuing to go well so you and DH can move forward to the next part of your future predicition!
Megan - that is a b*gger about your b/t results. I can't believe the specialist charged you so much money to not give you any answers. I really hope that the weekend flys by quickly for you and that your results on Monday give you more answers than questions!
A quick update on me -went for first b/t and scan and all is looking good. Might even be our most successful cycle yet (hope I am not jinxing us by saying that ). Follies are a good size which means I get to move on to HGH starting tomorrow morning. So now 2 injections per day. But - this is the first time ever this has happened - I also reduce my puregon dose from tonight. Looks like my FS's idea about my eggs being poisoned might be right. Or it might also be the herbs I am on, and the low GI/low carb/high protein eating plan, and the reduced stress levels... who knows but it seems to be working! Next b/t is Monday morning with scan likely on Wednesday. I am hoping for a trigger Wednesday night and pick-up Friday.... but I am getting ahead of myself now aren't I? I just can't help feeling different about this cycle and am doing well at staying positive. I really hope we are 3rd time lucky!
Anyway, gotta go. Going out to dinner with our visitor - just a quick meal - have to be back in time for my puregon. And then shopping tomorrow -yay - a girl's day out. I can't remember when I had one of those last.
Have a great weekend everyone. I will try to pop in again soon.
xxxx
-
woo hoo Chez - sounds like it's al moving a long beautifully. i don't think it matters which change has helped, as long as one of them has!!!
as for me - the pee sticks are in the drawer - teasing me mercilessly! but, they remain in the drawer.... i think BW and i are on switcheroo days - i've had the plummet into stress and negativity today! BW, maybe you need to be kickin my butt now like i did yours!
-
Chez, I'm a mighty big fan of David's eating plan. Without it I'd never have had a fresh transfer. I know he also takes the high doses of FSH poison the body approach, and I'm hoping like anything that the HGH is also going to be helpful... with all three things going in your favour, it would be easy to be feeling so positive right now! I hope it stays this way for you. :)
BG, I'm sure I can find some butt-kicking boots around here somewhere...
BW
-
*BG gets the giggles instead of the trembles at that thought.... BW in butt-kickin boots hahahahah :P *
-
:dunno: At least it made you happy! :p
Perhaps :whip: may be more helpful than the boots?
BW
-
whips, boots - sheesh - do we need to move to the AO threads???
-
Thanks for your support and positive thoughts BG and BW!
Well yesterday was day 1 of my HGH. And after mixing it together - it's a bit like pregnyl - one vial of liquid and one vial of powder, everything seemed to be going well. I headed off to the shops with my girlfriend for a day of shopping and catching up. Then a few hours later I got a massive blood sugar drop and felt all dizzy. This is one of the side effects listed, along with high blood sugar :o Anyway, that went after a few minutes sitting down and a cup of coffee with a sugar to tide me over until we could get to a cafe with some decent food! Today, about one hour after the HGH, I got several waves of nausea that lasted on and off for about an hour or so. So it seems that this HGH stuff has its own interesting set of side effects. Oh well, only another 4 more days to go. I am off for another b/t tomorrow morning and hopefully will know more. I have been doing my dates over and over and the way I have it figured, I would be timed for a pick up on Saturday, but I don't think the clinic does them on the weekend. And with a follie that was already 16mm last Friday, I am concerned that it will be over mature if we leave it too long. The other follies I had were 13mm and one was 11mm. But what if I still only get one egg and that is in the dominant follie? Sometimes I think I am not veery good at this whole waiting and trusting thing!
BG - I hope your TWW is almost nearing its end and that your BFP is only days away from being annnounced to us all here on BB who are waiting with breaths held, fingers and toes crossed, down on our knees praying so hard for you
To everyone else, I hope you are enjoying your Mother's Day. Take care all,
Chezxxx
-
HGH sounds like nasty stuff Chez! as long as it's doing it's thing though.... it's possible that the FS is pushing you a little further along even knowing that your largest follie was bigger so that they can make sure those smaller follies are ripe. i guess one over ripe and a few decent eggies is better than one ripe egg and a heap of immature ones!!
yes, my BT looms. will be announcing resuls one way or another before the end of the week!
-
Chez, trust them! I'm not sure that they regularly do Saturday collections, but remember that David forced the hospital to open on a Sunday just for me last time... they will do what's right for you. I hope the HGH eases up - it sounds nasty!
Stim number three may have got me to a fresh transfer... but I haven't completely avoided OHSS. Those who have wandered past my journal will already know, and others would be able to guess by now... It's a BFP for us this time, but I'm still VERY nervous... and the OHSS is making me feel completely revolting. So, Chez... third time lucky it is!
BW
-
Thanks ladies. Yes, I know I should trust the clinic. I guess I am a little more apprehensive about putting myself completely in their hands when I am 300km away! But I will have to try to quell that part of my personality and have some faith in the process. So far things seem to be working out for us. Hopefully it will be 3rd time lucky for us both BW! And BG, thanks for your words of support also. Take care both of you.

Just popping on although I haven't anything exciting to say!!
I haven't got the results of the BT... Lou was saying today that it can take up to 2 weeks - Its been a week tomorrow, but I refuse to call Dr S's office on a Monday as the receptionist he has on Mondays is a dragon lady ;) and her answer to any question is 'I have no idea, and Dr S is at the Bondi clinic on Mondays....' so,I'll call Tuesday and speak to the lovely receptionist that is there every other day of the week :D
DH does his sample Wednesday, and then we can finally start to get a plan happening
Chez - Have faith, hun - This cycle ALREADY sounds fantastic compared to the others :) I'll keep positive for you!!!
BW - Already sent the text and posted in your journal, but I could say it a million times over and not tire of it - YAY!!!! SOOO happy for you hun, and I just know things will be fine
BG - Hows that straight jacket feeling... need it pulled a little tighter???!!!
Not long to go now, hun... here's hoping that BW has started off an EXTREMELY contagious group of positives in here ;) Am thinking of you and hoping for the very, very best xxx
A big HI to everyone else - hope you have all had a wonderful weekend - we had a quick trip 300kms north this weekend to become Godparents of my neice, so had a very special day today :)
xxx
-
you can pull the straps a little tighter if you want Holly - not doing too well on the sanity front at the moment! just so want this tww to be over - it's torture! and i'm doing it solo now - Dh back at work til who knows when...
