Yeah Keen, where are you?
:cheer: Woohooo Bee, that's great! Go girl!!
Keen, come out come out wherever you are....
Bee,
what a great response! I've never had that many myself. Are you starting to feel uncomfy yet?
BTW I don't know if you've ever answered this, but do you do 2 day, 3 day or blast transfers? Good luck with the call today, hopefully not too long for EPU!
It's been a while since Keen dropped in, pretty much from when she saw her doctor on Tues. Has anyone spoken to her since then?
love
sushee
Sheree - you have changed your name
hang in there magic may happen - thinking of you
Bee
that is great follie numbers you must be stoked and feeling positive with this response -
you go girl :confetti:
Tam - hang in there too - we all have :crossfingers: everything
Blue has been MIA ?
Blue has AF shown up ?
Sushee - glad you hang around us -you have a way of knowing right things to say and keeping us all on the path.
Keen was in other thread yesterday - it is bit confusing sometimes remembering where you have and haven't posted
some days are quiet too so noone is yakking
Hi Mel - must be a relief to be able get back on BB - glad everything is going well for you and Apple
Magic - Groovy name change, I like it!!
Sushee, I have only ever done 2 day tfrs. I've never made it to 2 weeks without AF showing up but we rectified that last cycle so I'm very excited to have another go and see what happens this time. OPU is on Tuesday.
I suppose I better put some details in...
Name - Bee
State - Vic
My Previous Cycle Length - Non existent
Cycle Type - Down reg
Months of TTC - Nearly 3 years
Medications - GonalF (300), Synarel
Important Dates - OPU 25 October
Extra Info - No AF since stopping pill in 2002, otherwise "unexplained" infertility
Thanks lovely mods :D
Oh, and Sush, I've hardly felt anything this time...only the odd twinge. Does that mean I'm getting used to doing this? 8-[
Bee,
I reckon I got worse with each cycle, more sore and more bloated. I imagined my poor overies were screaming from my constant abuse of them!
But it's a relief that you're not getting any discomfort. Though I wouldn't speak too soon, they've still got a bit to grow yet! I usually only got really 'full' after the trigger anyway.
I have to admit my Dr swears by day 2 transfers, and I think I was an anomaly which put his nose out of joint. He still insists it would have happened with this embryo if I'd transferred it at day 2, which is probably true I guess. I transferred the best two, and they were the best two even at Day 2, so he's probably right.
Trish, thanks sweet for making me still feel welcome in here. I know I declared myself an alumni member, but am so touched to know that you like having me around.
love
sushee
Bee that's great news. Good luck for Tuesday!!! :crossfingers:
Sush, the place just wouldn't be the same without you.
Magic, love it. What does your wand look like? Get an av too!!!
I've been a blob today.
Love
Sue

Glad you're here but sorry you meet the criteria iykwim.
I'm on an ICSI flare cycle. Started my meds this week too and expecting opu early November.
Tell us a little about yourself.....
what would you like to know
Anything you feel comfortable sharing with us!! I'm not being a sticky beak. Just getting to know you. Which clinic are you with?
Hi All,
Hope you're having a nice evening and gearing up for a great weekend!
Welcome Shazey - pull up a pew! Or maybe make it a deck chair so you can pack it up & take it with you when you graduate from here!!
Sue - how are you going after your MHD today? Nice & relaxed I hope.
Magic - Nooice moniker luv. Found that numberplate yet?
Bee - great follicle numbers petal! Good luck for your EPU next week!
Sushee - Hi! How are you today?
Tam - hope the spotting has stopped. I too am crossing things for you!
Mel - Hi! Hope that dredded work lets you be soon!
Keen & Trish - Hi - hope you're doing well!
Well, AF still hasnt arrived and Dr said to start on the tablets to bring on a bleed. I POAS this morning just to double check... hehehe who was I fooling!! Am now a bit aprehensive about it... do I start now & have the TWW hanging over my head during exams? Or do I wait it out & give it a good go when exams are over & stress levels are back to normal? Hmmmmm
Take care!
H
LOL - My ticker just keeps stretching longer & longer!
Double LOL - just checked this morning's POAS in case it changed it's mind from this morning. I think I heard it laugh at me...
Im I with Hunter IVF, I have a DD 13 years and a DS 11 years from my first marriage and a DD 6 years from this marriage. I had my first tubal pregnancy in 93 and lost my fallopian tube, so I guess I am pretty lucky to have my DS and DD. In 2003 I had 2 more tubal pregnancies the first one grew in a part of the right tube (stump) that wasnt removed the second one in the left tube a few months later. My husband and I decided we would give IVF a go as we had not completed our family.
The first cycle I got 6 follicles and all fertilized, I had a fresh transfer with two 8 cell embryos - BFN
I then had a natural FET with 2 4 cell embryos - BFN
I then had a medicated FET but the 2 embryos didnt divide over night and they had lost a cell each - BFN
My husband wasnt keen on going through anymore treatment but I feel my childbearing days are not over ( probably selfish) I think what makes it hard for me is that I work as a midwife and deliver babies everyday and the joy and love I see makes me want it even more, also because I have a 6 year old bugging me continuously about when is she going to get a baby brother or sister like all her friends.
Sorry about the long post I hope I havent bored too many of you, I think you all now know all about me in a nutshell. LOL
Hey Blue, good to see you.
I take my hat off to you for only poas a couple of times. I'd have been doing it daily every day from CD30! You're not fooling yourself - pretty normal behaviour I reckon.
What to do with you? Hmmmm. Do whatever will cause you the least amount of stress. When are your exams? You don't want to miss one because you have to attend the clinic for a procedure. You don't want to be putting too much on yourself eg exams and IVF at the same time. On the other hand they may both be a good distraction from the other. If you think you can wait for IVF and get through your exams without obsessing about delaying IVF, I'd do that. Hmmmm, not being much help am I? Did you find out if you will get caught in the clinic closure?
Great to see you in here - love that sense of humour.
I've been a big yuk-ball all day. No valid reason for that except the meds.
Love
Sue
Gee Shazey, you certainly have been through the mill.
And being surrounded by bubs at work must compound things when you're having a bad day. Must be a rewarding job though. Nice happy customers....
You're not being selfish in wanting another child. And, I sure can't comment about long posts!! I just thought it would be nice to get to know you.
I wish you good luck with everything.
Sue
Hi Blue thanks for the welcome, I was just wondering what you are studying you can tell me to mind my own business if you like curiosity got the better of me, try not to study too hard its not good for the brain LOL I know when I study my brain hurts I think its filled to maximum capacity I no longer retain information because there is no where else to store it so it goes in one ear and out the other ( I always thought I had a hollow head ) now I know for sure.
Good luck with your exams
Hi again
Shazey, am studying Health Info Management part time. Also working part time. thanks for your good wishes. I feel for you & your IVF rollercoaster ride to date. Hoping this cycle is the one for you!
Thanks for your advice Sue. Exams are mid november. Am going to take some time off work. So one less stress to deal with. I have been playing with my trusty spreadsheet to work out rough dates of when the witch might show, when transfer might be and the beta date. not helping. I need a formula to tell me what to do...
Hi girls
Blue, I suggest asking Magic for a formula. Not only is she a wizz with spreadsheets, she also has a wand!!!
How are you going Magic? Getting close now. Can you sit still?
*Tam* are you feeling better? When is your Beta?
Bee, hope you'll have a relaxing weekend, so you'll be nice and ready for your huge harvest on Tuesday.
What's new with you Trish? How's the cycling - both kinds.
Yoohooo Keen, is everything OK?
Hope you're travelling well Shazey, don't get too comfy in here. With a bit of luck, we'll all be outta here by Christmas.
Hey Sush, hi if you manage to boot the kids off the puter over the weekend.
I think that's everyone. Hi to anyone else visiting.
Up nice and early today for my 2 jabs. Looks like a nice day coming up. Good, I'll be able to get outside in the garden and get my hands in the dirt. I think that's what I need to fix my head. And, no, I don't mean rubbing dirt onto my head Blue.
Have a good weekend.
Love
Sue :luck:
Boo Sush
Wow - Shazey - thanks for sharing your story - yay at starting Synarel ... I am a week ahead of you but we will be in 2 ww together
it is hotting up in here
Morning girls,
am on the puter trying to reformat the flash drive I got my dad for his bd. Seems like it's not working, which is a poo coz I got it from the USA, so returning it will be hell.
Magic, my love, since I'm here, good luck for your beta in case I don't see you before then. Don't forget to sms me!
Bee, I personally found that less stress made cycling easier, and I seemed to respond to the drugs better too. No surprise that my first cycle after Shay moved to his dad's was the one where I got the most follies and the most mature eggs. But if you're having time off from work, it probably balances everything out, IYKWIM.
Sue, nice to hear the weather is better over there. Still al little overcast here in Perth, but am getting a haircut today, so am feeling great myself!
Tam, was hoping you'd checked in re the spotting, but I'm also hoping no news in good news.
Shazey welcome, as a mum of three kids prior this this IVF pg, I have to say that I understand how you feel about wanting more. I too feel greedy sometimes, but doesn't make it less hard.
Keeeeeennnn....? where are yooooouuuu????
love
sushee
Hi girls, how are you all?
I have a question. Sorry if it's tmi!
I have had loads and loads of EWCM since yesterday (Fri). Only started my FSH (Puregon) on Wednesday? Lucrin on Monday. I always end up with plenty, even on natural cycles. But, has anyone ever had it happen so quickly?
Maybe I'm gunna go off real quick, so to speak....
Love
Sue
Keen, wherever you are, I hope you're ok.
Agreed Sue ... it's unlike Keen to be missing for any length of time without telling someone. Keen, hope things are okay.
Sue, your early EWCM sounds pretty promising. It's great that you always get so much because I used to get just about nil! Still I know what you mean ... you don't want to be sitting there worrying that you'll miss the boat after all the preparation. What does your clinic say?
Good luck for tomorrow Sheree ... :crossfingers:
Bee darling, thinking of you for your OPU. Are you going to the Moneymasons or the Womens?
Good morning everyone. Beautiful day here by the look of it.
Thanks Melbo. I'll call my clinic tomorrow. Not due for BT 'til Tuesday but I'd like them to do it earlier if possible. Considering they only do EPU on the coast on Thursdays. Don't really want to go to Sydney unless I absolutely have to. My clinic is closed on Sundays and Saturday arvos unless they have ETs to do.
Magic......how are you?
*Tam*, are you hanging in there? Only 3 more sleeps.
Blue, is that ticker getting any shorter?
What's new with you Trish? How's the deadly treadly?
Hi to Bee, Sush, Shazey and anyone else popping in. Hope you're all having a relaxing weekend. Still looking out for you Keen...
Love
Sue : :luck:
Morning all,
Looks like the weather has cleared up a bit here too - hope everyone has a great day.
Sue - hope your EWM news is good news from the clinic tomorrow
Best start this assignment now.
Take care
H
Pssssssst :gossip: I think AF is on its way...
Thanks for sharing your secret Blue, hooray at last. Do the rest of us a favour though - lock her up real tight please!!!
Sure thing Sue. I have the ropes, handcuffs and gaffa tape ready to go. :-#
We are still talking about AF aren't we? Oops, that was a little naughty. Better get out in the garden I think.
Hi ladies! Well, I have my trigger tonight at 7.50pm and check in Tuesday morning at 7.30am (Melbo - Moneymasons) so hopefully I'll be home nice and early. I spent from 9.30am to 5.00pm on the computer doing an assignment yesterday so I've being doing absolutely nothing today and it has been fantastic. DH has gone to play tennis so I might walk the dog over for a look then come back and lay on the couch.
Does everyone remember Bertie Beetles? I thought they were extinct but I was in Kmart on Friday and they had them at the checkout. I had to buy a couple for old times sake and they are just as good as I remember them.
Sorry for warbling on...
Bertie Beetle, hmmmm. Don't remember the name Bee. Maybe we called them something different up here. Anyway, sounds like a good luck charm to me!!!!
It's good to get the epu over and done with early, no time to think too much. And, you have the whole day to flop about afterward.
Warbling's good, better than assignments.
Good luck
Love
Sue
Hi guys just thought I would check in and say hello, first of all good luck Bee with your EPU on tuesday early morning check in is great we usually check in at 6am and we are out about 9am which is good so hubby can get back to work. Hope everyone is doing well and I would like to say thank you to everyone for the welcome its great to have people to talk to who are going through the same thing. Well its very hot up here and all I have done today is run my 6 year old DD to rehearsals for her dancing concert, she had to be there from 10am until 12pm and then go back from 3pm until 530pm so you really cant do much during the day. I am hoping AF will arrive soon so I can start the jabs (hate doing them on myself) its alright if I give them to someone else because then I dont feel them LOL. Well I hope you all had a great weekend.
PS I remember bertie beetles yum yum
Ah the Bertie Beetle ... the best value showbag ever! For $2.00 you got a stack of the little blighters and some little twirly thing to play with that you lost while riding the Ghost Train. Mmmm beetly...
Hi guys - sorry I havent popped my head in for a while. Things have been a little rough emotionally lately... but getting back on track, so thanks.
Docs appt was a bit long and painful - I cried my eyes out.... how embarassing! Anyway, a few things were looked at including needing more regular monitoring of P4 levels, and also a problem that may be apparent with embies gettng past day 3 - something that was picked up while allowing them to get to blast. They grow along fine and on day 3 just stopped hence why of 11 good fertilised ones only 3 made it to blast.
So we are going again... money is very tight at the moment and am wondering where it will all come from - am selling my car to help out. But we do what we do, dont we.
Whole situation was exacerbated by my best friend asking/volunteering me to organise her baby shower for her, another friend who just went off the pill last month is pg and a friend's lesbian partner is expecting a baby too. No problems with lesbians having babies mind you - just seems I thought they would have a little more difficulty that I! Anyways...
Bee - Am very excited for you, and with fabulous number of follies too!
Magic - I am just loving your new name - and am [-o< you get a lovely beta result... :crossfingers:
Blue - Hope AF gets there soon... I think either way - whethr your in 2ww or not the whole thing will be hanging over your head, so really is up to you..
Shazey - welcome. Hope your stay is short.
Tam - not long now..
Sue - hows things with you - where are you at now? I always have extra EWCM in a stim cycle, pretty much just a few days into it, so I would say is normal. Well, I hope..
So good to see you back, Keen. We all need time out every now and then. The whole thing is so overwhelming. Particularly for you being surrounded it seems by others who either don't know/understand or fall at the drop of a hat.
Hopefully, closer post ET monitoring will help you next time. The day 3 thing is very curious. We expect doctors to know everything, wish they did. None of use would be in here!! Take care of your heart, we're here for you. :flower:
I'm on my 5th day of Puregon today. Started Lucrin on Monday. They're messing with my head this time. Not good for my colleagues. This is where a DH would come in handy - a punching bag!! Hoping it will be nice and short. The only 1 day EPU day a week issue is a little bit of a worry if I keep stimming as well as I am. This week will be too soon and next week I'll be overcooked. Just means I have to go to Sydney I guess. There I go, getting ahead of myself again...
Shazey, hope AF has done her bit with Blue and is on her way north to you. Just don't let her go east when she leaves your place please.
Love
Sue :luck:
Keen - good to see you back but I'm sorry you have been feeling down. It's understandable I think after everything you've been through.
It's ironic too how when you are going through a bad patch, the pregnancies start dropping out of the sky all around you. It's just too cruel.
Bee - have a nice rest today in preparation for your OPU and enjoy that raisin toast afterwards.
Blue - thinking of you.
Talk to you all during the week ladies. Take care now.
Love,
Mel
Hi guys, better late than never, I've been away for the weekend, just to visit my parents & some outside work, but wanted to have some 'fun'. Went out for dinner at Mexican & then chips by the water for lunch today. It was great.
Some action going on in here, it's great, means there has to be some good coming out of here soon.
Sounding really good Bee, I never felt much at EPU, the time inbetween my last scan & EPU day I had this awful feeling that all my follies/eggs had disappeared! And I got 17 eggs!
Sheree, thinking of you for tomorrow, hope there is some Magic there! Take care & big hopes for you.
Sue, you are cooking up a storm there, sounds good.
Heather, big decision on what to do, have you made up your mind yet. Personally I'd only do one thing at a time. I've been having a bit of a tight squeeze fitting in things lately, which has brought on a bit of stress. I think that could be why I"m a bit 'quiet' this cycle.
Shazey, nice to see you here, always good to hear everyone's 'story' & is always especially nice to know we're not alone.
Keen, take care of yourself before starting your cycle, build up our strength, physical & emotional.
Hi to Mel & Sush, nice to see you guys popping in, all your words are appreciated.
My spotting has stopped, took a couple of days though so I was a bit worried, but just kept thinking the nurse said it was ok, I just hope that wasn't the part of my lining that my embie was trying to latch on to!
Just waiting out the days.......argh......
