    Permit me whilst I vent???

Just had friends over for dinner and they have spent the whole evening criticising my dog. Which of course, I have taken as a criticism of me and my 'parenting'. I am quite outraged and miffed and my nose is out of joint. Why do people do this????!!! grr

Londonmiss~ I feel for you hun, its horrible.

We had a lady behind us complain this morning about our 2 pups we have at the moment that we are trying to sell. She went off her nut at DH apparently (i wasnt home) saying that she has called the Shire, saying they bark all the time (which is totally untrue because I am home a lot), that we have too many because we have two dogs as well (the parents) and that their yard is too small. We lock them up in a yard type thing only when we are at work and then we let them out for heaps of play time. It upsets me so much because I think I look after them so well - they are my babies, and what could we do. We can't stop them from barking if we are not there and we are trying to sell them or give them away, we arent going to dump them - ohh it makes me mad and upset

Londonmiss-- Oh I also hate it if people criticise my dogs...and also have some friends who aren't dog people at all, and really shy away from them, which I also find hard to understand. sorry you had a bad time

loops- that's a tough situation...as you say, you are doign your best! And I am sure you look after them very well. some people have no understanding

I'd tell them off if they picked on my furbaby raising techniques!

Anyway on a lighter note, let me introduce my babies.

    Our Pups:
Chase is our Bichon X - he's our little bundle of joy and is very much a mummies boy. Even if DH picks him up he's reaching across for me *grins* my little man. He's always full of energy, an endless supply....And will bound across the yard at the first sight of us getting home from work....When I get out of the car he bursts into this over excited high pitched yelp until I'm out of site in the front door and then zooms around the back to meet me....I love my big boy.

CJ - is actually a pup we had from Chase (we no longer have her mummy long story) - When we lost her mum we just couldn't give CJ up, she was thought to be deaf as a pup, so we took her under our wing and she's become our little baby...She's not deaf, and has full hearing now. She's just so lovable, she's daddy's girl through and through....lol

    Cats:
Merlin and Caesar - Pedigree Ragdolls, and our big princes. Our cats are inside only, so they are always wanting attention of some kinds. They are brother from the same littler. They just turned 2. Caesar is almost a whopping 7 kilos, Merlin slightly smaller (but the big bully of the two), and they definately are ragdoll by name and nature, our friends kids just can't get enough....

Nikita is our little pedigree Bengal, she turns 1 in December, we got her form a breeder in QLD. She's such an exotic independant and total nutcase of a cat. You have to research the Bengal to read about them, cause I can't do her justice in this short post (well perhaps not so short). She's a jumping bean, she climbs the doors, lounges, blinds, curtains, benches....loves water, always needs to be in a sink when water is running....Tries to beat you into the shower....*sighs - Just love her to pieces.

There's a link to our babies album in my signature - just click on the links on the left side for the categories...

All these additional furbaby stories!! My DH loves miniature animals too....I recently saw a miniature pig website in Oz! So cute, and pigs are the 4th most intelligent animal. I did say, 'we're not/can't get a mini pig...you said another dog OR a baby...cos we have one dog and 3 cats!!' so no pig!! .... but they were really cute.

Ninah - wow they are lovely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
