    P4?

Hi all, just wondering if anyone could tell me what their P4 BT results were when they got their BFP?

Im 14 dpo today and got a HCG of 127 but a very low P4 of only 24

Im not feeling positive about it at all and Dr google of other forums is not helping

    Cheers

Congrats on the BFP . When I was 14DPO with DD1, my hcg was 56 and p4 was 26. I was supplemented with P4 and it went down to 24 at 16 DPO, then every 2 days up to 28, 30, 44, 60-something?, into the 100's. So yes it can take a while to get going. Are you being supplemented? Congrats again.

Edit: I see you bumped my old post. My figures were slightly off but it was mid-high 20's. DD1 is fine now.

Thanks for the replies I started 200mg of pessaries last night. All I have been reading does not sound positive. ESP with such low p4. Time will tell

Lou have you looked into foods that can help? I know there are plenty out there and it might be worth adding a few to your diet... just do a google search

Just to update I had another bt yesterday. HCG 308 and P4 is now 65.4 (on 3 pessaries a day) so they have both increased but both sill on the lower side I guess as they have only doubled in 64 hours or so. Still the HCG is better than when I was pg with ds and I guess I know more than anyone this can go either way. I'm not allowing myself to get excited or attached yet.

I think your P4 is great now! At least that is not a worry (though I know from experience that doesn't stop us from worrying). Your beta's aren't doubling every 48 hours but about 15% of healthy pregnancies don't. Beta base shows a healthy pregnancy at your beta levels doubling every 193.12 hours. So there is hope, though I understand why you are so hesitant. I hope you cope OK over the coming weeks.

Loula- congratuations on your BFP! I hope its a sticky one.
Mine aren't success stories but just an idea of levels-
My first ivf I got a bhcg of ~200 with a Prog of 36 ( crinone x1/d)- was spotting at BT, m/c a few days later
    My last Bfp I was a bhcg of 150 and a prog of 140 (pessaries x1/d) , eventually m/c at 8wks

I think your rise in levels are sounding tentatively promising, esp if you have no spotting. Hope the next few weeks fly by and your little one stay sticky xx

Just to update my P4 is still playing silly buggers! HCG is now 120492 at 6 weeks and although P4 was at 90 something it is now just 80. I'm still on pessaries (3 a day) and getting a scan today. I was booked with my clinic to get a scan on Wednesday but started bleeding yesterday

I'm sorry to hear about the bleeding but I hope it's just a small amount and will go away soon.

Hugs and thinking of you. Good luck with the scan.
