    Shen therapies or IUI?

    hey

just wondering if anyone has done or heard of shen therapy? they were on tv alittle while ago " the baby maker"

Dh lost his job late last year and it has put us back years before we will be able to afford another ivf cycle. but i can sit around doing nothing while we wait to do our next ivf cycle.

I dont know which road to take

do we try shen therapy?? or do we try another cycle of IUI, which we have done 4 cycles of with no luck

would love to have some feed back on peoples opinions

    thanks heaps xxx

    Hey there mum2chloe,

We're ina similar situation to you and I posted something similar tonight as well.

I'm not too sure on ur finances - or the expense of the shen therapy - but what have u got to lose? It could be just the remedy you are looking for

We are trying natural methods before going the ivf/iui route.

Good luck with whatever route you decide to take, but I say try it - can't hurt and hey - Look at Gecko! AMAZING!!

    I say go for it!

    Hi mum2chloe

I think it is a really good idea, that you are being proactive, until you can afford another cycle of IVF. Big hugs from me, as I know how hard it is to have yoru finances control your ttc efforts.

I just googled Shen, as I had never heard of it. Intersting ... I will go and have a detailed read soon.

Why dont you go for a consult with the Shen Clinic , and have one with the IUI clinic ? And discuss your options ?

I am doing IUI atm, and have found a clinic that is considerably cheaper than the traditional IVF Clinics, which in effect will allow us to IUI consistently without the huge overheads. Have you done some research into costs of each ?

yeah i feel like i need to do something, i cant sit around doing nothing.

I am going to ring my FS next week and ask how much it will cost through him to do another round of IUI and i will also ring up the shen therapy place and have a talk with them aswell, i do know just by going by there sight that you have to go there for the first consultation, which is a 7/8 hour drive away fingers crossed we might be able to work something out with that lol

well let you know how it goes

thanks heaps for your reply xxx

a friend of mine told me about "shen therapy"

they have been ttc for almost 12 yrs and were about to head into ivf and though about giving it ago first and 3 mths later she was pregnant, she was due in march.

i dont know her history, like if she had endo or PCOS or anything like. but i know its worked for them, but was really keen to see what it has done for people that have problems like PCOS and endo.

will have to give them a ring in the next few days just to have a chat and see what there like

    thanks for the reply xx

When you call your FS next week, ask them if they know of anyone who can do iui at a cheaper price.

Call your main "ladies" hospital and you may be able to get IUI through them

You will be surpised at how much you can save if you ring around, it's like anything.

They are all privatly run businesses, and you need to shop around
