I’ve just started my 3rd cycle of IVF. Brief history – Cycle one, two eggs, one transfer, and no implant; cycle two, miscarried at 9 wks (or 6). Had D&C end of April and AF since then.
Last Thursday was day 13 of this cycle and went in for the usual day 13 blood test. Since then I’ve had two more blood tests - I'm not a 28 day cylce, more 33-35 days. I rang for my results yesterday and was told “You’re nowhere near ovulating so the Dr wants you to start the synarel tomorrow”. I’ve also been asked to go in for a blood test and ultrasound next Friday. Now the blood test at this stage of synarel is normal, however I have not required an ultrasound at this stage before. In fact, I’ve usually had AF on the ninth day of the nasal spray.
Has anyone else started the nasal spray without ovulating? Given that I have been asked to have an ultrasound when I have usually had AF at that stage, will it mean that I will be using the spray for longer as my hormones are at a higher level than if I had ovulated?
I will ring the centre tomorrow as unfortunately I did not have time at work today. The more I think about this change in ‘normal process for me’ the more questions I keep finding. I was feeling really positive yesterday morning about this cycle, now I’m just confused and uncertain.
