    clomid/pregnyl

    ok

i am going to be doing a "home job" cycle with clomid 50mg and pregnyl

just want to know which day did you take your clomid ( e.g 5-9 , 3-7, 2-6) and then what day did you have trigger?

also was the cycle a success??

with the pregnyl what was your dose?? i have a choice of 1500 or 5000??

i had success on the 5000 but that was with my puregon not clomid

would really love all your opinions as i want to be prepared before i do this alone

i dont want to go see fs or gp, i want to be left alone and to do this, no scans no bt's just take the drugs and dtd, it worked for us last time just hope it works for us this time! the only difference with this cycle i am going to be doing is that its with clomid instead of puregon. i wanted to use puregon but i would have to go back to fs and get his approval, so i will use the clomid i have and the left over trigger and hope for the best

    Hey
I didn't find clomid a success untill I reached 2 tabs a day (I think that is either 100 or200mg). Day 2-6. After that we were pgt with in a month both times. O' d on the 15 day each time.
I didn't have pregnyl so can't help with the combination of both.

My successful cycle was 75mg Clomid CD 5-9 coupled with pregnyl, can't remember the dose BUT I would really caution AGAINST using left over medication and self-dosing. I know, you did it the first time without any drama but using a different drug and 'guessing' your medication dose is a really bad idea IMO. They offer blood tests and scans for a reason... Plus using left over drugs, well they would be 6+ years old so personally I wouldn't use them as medication have use by dates as well...

Also I can see from your sig that you have just suffered a loss. I'm very sorry for that. Although unless you were on clomid/puregon in that time it shows that there probably isn't a HUGE issue ovulation, despite the PCOS, so be really careful with it all as you don't want to have hyperstimulation.

    Hi hun,
Sounds like you are thinking about your next TTC steps after having such a tough time lately. Making plans to get back onto the TTC rollercoaster can be such a positive step in our healing and moving forward - when you think the time is right for you which is obviously now .

Is there any particular reason why you are considering doing this on your own without medical support this time? Fertility drugs are powerful concoctions that require expert medical guidance to ensure the dosages are optimum for success and also not harmful to us that take and rely on them.

    thanks for the replies

i have scripts for pregnyl and clomid so whenever i am ready to go for it, i just need to go get the scripts filled, so i have no worries about the drugs being left overs or being to old

the reason i dont want to go back to fs is because of a few reasons, i dont really like him after everything that happend with bubba g i wont go into it to much, but lets just say he wasnt happy being proven wrong that it wasnt eptopic. plus because its only been a little while since bubba g, i just dont want to go through all of that again. i just want to be like a normal couple and make a baby on there own if that makes sense?? plus its the money issue of seeing the fs all the time plus the 400klm round trip just to see him, plus the time off work i will need to go in and out of town, we cant afford to do any of that, and so thats why i would try this at home on my own

i have 2 friends that are on clomid right now and they were given the drugs from there gp and were told what days to have them on and that was it, there are no bt's no scans no nothing, so really i am not doing anything different to them, just that i need a pregnyl shot to help ovulate. i have the information sheet here that i had for my last iui and it tells me what day to have them on and when to trigger but i was hoping to hear from other people as to what cycle days they took there clomid on, cos i have had no success on clomid so far, only puregon

Hi hun, like I said my successful cycle was 75mg, but I suggest starting on 25mg and working up from there. I tried CD 2-6 as well 25mg and two times on 50mg, no success. Then we went to CD5-9 and 75mg and success. Not sure if it was the higher dose or the different days that did it... The physical difference was the thickness of the endometrium, because I was ovulating each time (except the 3rd cycle when I got a cyst, but the eggs grew great in all the cycles) but the last cycle my endometrium was thicker than it ever had been which I think is what made the beggest difference. I have PCOS as well, so needed the clomid and trigger to ovulate, but the clomid also helped thicken the endometrium (because of the hormones etc).
