25mg clomid - anyone had success at this dosage?

Hi gals,
just wondering who has had success on 25mg clomid? My last pregnancy (My dd) I was on 50mg, but my gyn want's to start my off on 25mg this time, as he said it's better to start slowly to prevent the higher risk of multiples - which I am fine with as I don't feel as "desperate" as before to be pregnant again.

I have pcos and have annovulatory cycles, however, he did an ultrasound last night and said I had ovulated about a week ago (day 65), this made sense as I had terrible pain last tues. So i should get AF in about a week making it a 79 day cycle for myself. He said clomid is still the treatment going off my long cycles.

So next cycle I am to take the 25mg clomid day 3-7.

Has anyone had success on such a low dosage? either ovulation and/or pregnancy?

Had no idea there was the lower dose. I started on 50mg as well. Good luck

I started on 50mg too.

When u were on clomid last time and on 50mg did you have any hyperstimulation? (sp?) may be why they are stating you on the lower dose, as well as lowering the risk of multiples.

I was told if you take too much it can be a bad thing too? Eg higher doses don't work so well.

I have to cut the tablet in half to take the 25mg. I don't think I had hyper stimulation last time? Oh well, I'm happy to start on a low dose this cycle, cause if it doesn't work I will take 50mg next cycle.

I started on 25mg last cycle for day 2 to 6. Had a follicular scan done in day 10 and my follicles weren't maturer enough. I took Provera to induce a faster withdrawal bleed and now on 50mg. I'll need to do another day 10 follicular scan and see if 50mg works for me.

I had 50 then 100. Then conceived on that. This time 100 and then 200 and conceived. Good luck
