AF after IVF cycle

Hi girls. Well AF turned up yesterday afternoon and I have just had my blood test. My question is does it usually come pretty heavy or what usually happens? I have only a very mild hit of it at present and am only really getting blood (and the aftermath of crinone) when I wipe. I am yet to have cramps and there is hardly anything on my pads. Is this normal? I thought I would have got it pretty bad but maybe that just depends on each individual?

i just want to let you know that the same thing has just happend to me, i got my af when it was due, but still had to have my bt the day after. i had no cramps, mild bleeding but i just put the strange af down to the grinone gel. anyway to my suprise they rang me that afternoon after having the bt and told me that i am pregnant!!! mind you i am still bleeding and i am praying that this little miracle stays

i couldnt believe it and then i asked how could that be cos i was bleeding and that my af showed up on the day she was due. but it can happen

so please dont give up yet, not until you get your bt results ok darl

Hi Kasam,

I too had a strange AF after my 1st stim cycle. She arrived a day after she was due and it wasnt as full on as usual, more like a half bleed. I thought the crinone may have had something to do with it, maybe making it not so heavy or as dark like normal.

I wasnt as lucky as mummy2chloe although have heard that you can still bleed while pregnant.

Hi Kasam,

Sorry to hear that AF has arrived. After my stim cycle I did not even get a period. I had a couple of days of brown spotting and that was it. I think all the hormones can just muck everything up so much and everyone reacts differently.

Thanks girls - well it has gotten a bit heavier as the afternoon has gone on :-( and I have started getting cramps - I just called the FS cause no one could be bothered calling me and its negative - so I guess I am relieved in a way at least I know what is going on now.
