    Question Af- Delayed By Ivf?

    hi girls. quick rundown.

20 march started synarel for ivf took aaages to work and started puregon injections a week later than supposed tooo due to low reaction. had to up dose of puregon after 11 days and even then FS only expected 1-2 eggs at pickup. luckily we got 7, of which 6 fertilised and 5 grew to day 5 blasties. had 1 one blastie put back in on may 2 ( day after AF due) beta BT showed my body THOUGHT i was pregnant but no pregnancy hormone detected. stopped crinone pessaries on the 11 and got AF on the 12th. had the witch for 8 long days....

now AF was due by today at the latest. i have NO cramps or symptoms and really want AF coz then starts beginning of natural FET cycle.

could cycle 1 have affected my AF? has anyone else been late in a similar situation. (syanrel delayed AF in cycle 1 too!)

I sometimes got a funny, out-of-whack cycle after I'd done a full stim cycle, Sonya, so it's possible that the meds have messed you up a little. Though I was terrible and always POASed just in case , though I knew my possibility of a natural pg was zero.

Lol! We LTers always seem to either dread the witch or are desperately hoping for her to arrive! And yes, I'm a terrible closet POASer, too!

Syrenal can delay the AF. You will have to ring FS and see what they say. Good luck with it hun!!

rang concept this morning. they said even though ihad AF as soon as i stopped crinone, the amount of drugs i took in the first stimulated cycle with fresh transfer would still be affecting my cycle. nurse did say that if AF isnt here by monday, ring to organise a BT and they will see what my levels are at... poor DH, he gets back from thailand sunday arvo. i was hoping to be over AF by then so we could have a little 'hanky-panky!" oh well i will probably get the witch on sunday HA!HA! we have gone 10 days without 'private time' whats another week (horrified gasp!)

Hi Sonya - i've just figured out that you are doing a FET straight after a stim cycle. Wow, you are a bit lucky! Yeh, i guess you still will have a few drugs hanging around and mucking things up a bit. Hope she comes to hassle you soon...waiting is a bit frustrating sometimes.

Hi Sonya, I had exactly the same thing when I went through my 1st stim cycle, AF is 4 days late, when the cycle failed, we need to have a month break before starting the FET cycle, and for that month, although no medication at all, I was about 4-5 days late, at one point, I even thought I was pregnant...I guess the drugs can mess up your cycle a bit, even a month later...hope it soon will turn up! I found it quite funny that I've never looking forward to AF that much...good luck hun!

    Hi,

My AF was really late after a fresh cycle (you'd think the nurses might mention that, knowing how much we are looking for any signs possible).
Anyway it did finally arrive and then I did a FET straightaway with no drugs and hey presto, I am expecting a little boy next week. So fingers crossed for you too
