Hi Everyone,

Unfortunately my 2 eggs didn't make it over the weekend. Even though on Saturday afternoon we got a call from the embryologist to say that one had actually been fertilized. It wasn't worth transferring this morning. :(

Oh well first cycle hurdles! Here's to the next one being more successful. Keep an eye out for me I will be back. With alot more eggs!

Em - It's shot day today honey! Hope it goes okay with you, I assume you are going to the clinic for the first one? What dosage are they giving you? I had the big debate last night whether I do morning or night. Because I commute to work (bring on October and my permanant long weekends!), if I go mornings then it will have to be 6am, so no weekend sleep ins. If I go night time, It has to be 10pm to ensure I will always be home! ARGH Decisions, Decisions!

Tan ... I'm also so sorry to hear your little embies didnt make it! It just means you'll have heaps more next cycle! and we can share the cycle together. I have my appt on the 14th and they will then work out when I can start! Cant wait now.
One of my colleagues is also going through her first cycle and she hasnt had the best reaction to the shots! Poor thing. She's been advised that her blood levels need to be right otherwise they might not be able to do EPU (Gosh so many things)! She should go in next week! So I am also hoping all goes well for her!

Oh my God and pickle my grandmother, if this isn't the worst pain I can remember. I'm sittting propped up writing this, why, I dont know, must be mad .it wasn't so bad at the time but now, I feel like someone whacked me with a pole in the ovaries.or maybe they did. Anyways they got eight eggs for all that trouble so i'm happy, now well wait and see.And no Blayz yet, either. Oh well, sweet dreams everyone especially anyone who had their EPU tiday....

sienna - I'm so glad your EPU went well, fingers crossed for ET.

Em, how did you go with your needle today? I discovered that after a two month break, I am out of practice. Thank god for patients that I'm not a nurse, I managed to make myself bleed...too much for such a small needle. The bruise tomorrow will be a whopper!

Well, still no sign of Blayz....she is proablably off enjoying her holiday while we are all suffering the TWW for her....too funny!

Hey Shelly- yep i had my first shot this morning at 9am.It was great i barely felt a thing. Hehe but i couldnt do it myself so one of my girlfriends is doing it for me. About two minutes after having it i could feel something going on with my ovaries so i dont know what that was.I reckon you should do it at night time.Im gunna have mine about 9pm.

Oh yeah i forgot to say ive been feeling pretty angry tonight and on edge. Oh well i guess everything that happens between hear and egg pick up will be blamed on the shots :lol:

yep I decided on night time in the end. Last time they had to lower my dose, so I thought if I do it at night they can lower the dose the same day rather than wait til the next one. I've opted for 9.30 so my drumming teacher better finish on time so I'm home on time. (Just for something different I've taken up drumming lessons - as in African Djembe drums - trying to get back to my primal roots hehehehe).

Okay really going to be this time...night all!

Oh and they put me on 150 per shot. Hehehe drumming classes sounds like fun

Hey again...(seriously I gotta go to bed heheh) I was there on the 24th (would have been around 7.45) Was picking up my meds and would have had the beautiful blue cooler bag they dish the drugs out in. I will be there next on the 14th for blood test - probably around 7.30.

Same same ive got to be there at 7:30 on the 14th for my bloods then 8:00 for my ultrasound. Oh the blue bag they are just so lady like arent they.Ok me off to bed now too.

Hi everyone and big big hugs to Blayz. Blayz I have read all your threads and you are such an inspirational person. You've been there for everyone and now we're all here for you and will be when you come back.
It feels weird talking about me today but I just wanted to let evryone that I alarmed last night that I'm perfectly OK, the pain went away overnight miraculously and I have 5 eggs fertilized so hanging on a strong thread of hope. Looking at Saturday for ET so that makes me a three dayer if all goes well.

I've let this thread go for a while, but it's gaining momentum, and is no longer just about the topic anymore. I know the LTTTC general thread was quite big and busy, so every now and then a thread like this takes off as a substitute chat thread, but unfortunately, general chat really should be done in the LTTTC thread. We now have quite a few places to chat (2WW, LTTTC, Clomid&Met and LTAC) and some of these are not busy at all.

So I'm closing this thread and sending all you troops over to LTTTC or LTAC!
