Oh Bg with a wonderful DH like yours im sure he understands. I know mine does. Wow you could be weeing alot cause your womb is full and being pust by your bladder. Oh I know your going to be PG this time. I can just feel it.
Well as for me sore bb is back alittle but the sickness wasnt around as I had to go to soccer. Ive just had lunch and now feeling yuk. Can it be that cause I was out at soccer and mind of TWW can it be now im home and thinking about it that im talking my body into thinking im pg...awwwwrrrgg I hope not.
How is everyone else feeling???
-
Hi everyone,
Well we all got through another day..................how many left??????????????????
bg - I hope all that weeing is a good sign  This whole process is so difficult isn't it. It just doesn't feel natural. You have to :bd: when the time is right (or when you are told to by FS!!) and the IUI - how romantic is that?!?!?! But we have to remember what our dreams are and do anything to get to our dream. That is what I tell myself.
missy - I hope you are feeling a little bit better soon. Or if it is m/s - then bring it on!!
I am feeling ok today. Just happy that I got through yesterday. I haven't been past 11dpo before so I guess that is a good sign. 4 sleeps to go.
-
good luck Lynn, fingers grossed for you

Waiting period
Hi l've just joined this site... so l'm trying to work my away around and communicate with others on this site.
I've just gone through the IVF and l'm in my two weeks waiting period to see if my pregnant...
I'm wanting to know if anyone one has had any signs leading up to the test (ie. bleeding/discharge before the test) and what does this mean ??? has anyone had these symptoms... in need of help ! with some answers if possible
-
Lynn - getting past that 11dpo milestone is huge - and i'm so happy for you that it's happened! hoping tuesday is the day you get your BFP! (you too missy!!)
well, had my second and last booster shot this morning, and it was the first injection that actually hurt! i think that, with everything that's been happening, i was a lot more tense than i have been, so it hurt going in, but no bleeding and no bruise so far, so i'm not too stressed - just counting down the days til i can test!
went to have a nana nap before while DH was outside - he came inside to check on me and ended up climbing into bed with me - everything actually happened the way it was supposed to (no pain and no tears - woo hoo!!) - and even managed to go almost two hours without running to the loo! yay for little victories!!
has it really been only 8 days? feels more like 8 weeks...
-
hi anyone like to chat....
I'm having my two week test tomorrow and wanted to find out some warning signs leading up to the test - if its going to come back negative ???
-
hi babyface - and welcome to BB (and the horrid tww)
it's hard to say what symptoms you might notice (everyone is very different). the things most common that i've noticed from other threads are:
sore bb's
AF type pain - but no AF
queasiness
feeling bloated
some people who've had positive results have mentioned a small bleed when their embie has implanted (which would have been a few days ago for you if it happened)
are you going to do a home test before your blood test (or have you done one already?)
-
WooHoo for you bg! Celebrate every little victory - they get you through the day :)
Just think, it is less than a week now until you can test!
-
i know Lynn - and normally "less than a week" would seem like no time at all - but at the moment, it seems soooooooooooooo long! i'm just over it - seriously wondering whether i can sleep through the next week....
DH is giving me grief at the moment - he's going to watch the footy with friends up the road - and i said i didn't want to go - so i'm being antisocial!! would be my luck i'd go up there and end up spending the whole game running back and forth to the loo - and that's gonna start a whole bunch of questions! plus they don't have comfy chairs - my couch is comfy...
hmmmmm, how many more excuses can i come up with??
only two more days lynn - how you feeling hun?
-
Wooohoo Lynn. you go girl....Im happy you have made it past 11 days. Awww we all might have good news at the end. How good would that be.
Hi Babyface. Just wondering when you had your ET. Have you had bleeding, well that could be a good sign in the sence that some ppl so spot when the embie implants. Welcome to the TWW hell too.
Oh BG you and I both had a nana nap today. Mine was only for about 45 mins but hey its better then nothing. Feeling ok at the moment but think cold might be coming back..
ITs also been 11 days since my ET. Hmmm I dont know if Im going to do the pg on tuesday. Im so scared of getting a BFN. Awwww what if it is...:(
How is everyone else going. Lynn, BG and I as you can see dont have much of a life we always on here......pmsl :cryinglaugh:
-
Oh by the way bg have fun running off to the loo all the time at the friends. lol....hehehe...
-
nah - dibbed out on the visiting factor - kicking back here in my comfy trackies with a blankie over me - lap top beside me watching harry potter - so much more entertaining than an AFL game - especially when you can't distract yourself with alcohol! the friends DH is going to visit are aware of us going through AC (kinda hard to not find out when you're having to do needles and stuff while they're visiting!) - and if i was there, she would be able to work out what's going on (they've got three kidlets and another frined who has been going through IVF for over 10 years...)
will be so much better to be at home where the loo's not far away and if i get tohave a nana nap (missed out on the one earlier) - well - who cares?!?! Brokeback Mountain is coming on pay after Harry Potter, so i'll probably watch that (have been way too slack to see it so far!)
-
Well Bg you have a nice time at home. Its nice when your at home by yourself and can relax and do nothing. I love that time by myself. Broke back thats not a bad movie. Just didnt like the sex scene. Hmmm two men that is....lol.
Wow your friend doing IVF for 10 yers. Thats so long the poor things. Do they have any kids at all???
-
nope - no success yet - just repeatedly putting themselves through it all - i KNOW that i'm not strong enough to continue for that period of time.
i know a lot of people have told them they should stop - i just think it's inspirational that they keep trying.
-
I know I couldnt go that long. Well not at my age now. How old are they??? The poor things. That must put some strain on there marriage. Maybe if I was say 21 and had to do it for 5 years I think I might be able to do that but it would be hard!!
-
honestly not sure of ages, but i'm guessing mid to late thirties...
i'm young enough that going for that period of tims wouldn't be too bad - but DH is older, and i don't want him having to go through this long term at his age.
plus age wise, yes, i'm fine - mentally - NO WAY
-
Yes that is true BG...I didnt really notice the gap between you and DH...awww your a youngy...You have heaps of time and if DH wants id go as long as it takes to get your bundle of joy!!:)
-
we had a really good chat before we started this journey - DH lost his dad at 15 and it's plagued him forevery - we've decided we'll go through AC til Dh is 45 - and after that, it's up to nature
that's still three more years... and if we're successful this time round, we'llprobably go back once or twice more...
-
Aww that is so good bg. You have lots of time. 3 years is a while. Im sure you wont need that time. It will happen way way before that. Like now...hehehhe..
-
bg - I can totally understand being antisocial. I'm the same.....for various reason :(
The closer I get to THE DAY I am getting so scared. I guess there is so much pressure! Haven't had any 'pressure' today so I'm not sure what that means. Not long know and I will know for sure! Hope you enjoyed your day on the lounge in your trackies - sounds good. I have to do the ironing tonight - what fun!
Missy - you must be near the same time as me. Is Wednesday 14dpo? When are you going to test?
-
i don't think anyone would hold it against you for being anti social at the moment Lynn! and if they do - send them my way and i'll knock some sense into them!!
-
Hey there lynn
Im 14 days on tuesday. My BT is for the 4th. Yours is the 31st isnt it. Awww its getting closer. When you going to do HPT. ??? If you do one before me then I might do mine. Im just so scared!!
lol@bg....Knock sence into them ah...lol.
-
damn straight - people have to be considerate of the emotions others are going through! i don't deal well with inconsiderate peoples!
-
Thanks bg
Same day as me Missy :) I won't lie, I did a test today  I'm not taking it as true because it is early and the hcg from the injection last Thursday will still be in my system. Even if AF doesn't arrive on Tuesday I wont believe I am pg until I get the results back from my bt on Thursday. I have read that the hcg can stay in your system for up to 14 days!!! Not sure if that is on a higher dose than me but it said that only a bt can be accurate. I am so scared too! We can be scared together :hugs:
-
bg I wish there were more people like you around me at the moment  Some people are inconsiderate and insensitive. But I guess unless you go through something like this you have no idea do you.
-
Awww I know what you mean bg.
Lynn did it come up +s. I remember with DS, (dh and i talked about it) and it was about 3 days after my shot with callum that I tested and it came up +s . I tested about 3 times more and all were +s. So it was +???? Awww what if I do mine and it comes up -neg. awwww I need a  lol
-
That is so true lynn. untill you have been through what we are going through then back off. Or as my DD says " STEP UP"...pmsl
-
you told fibs Lynn!!!
there is a whole section in missy's journal from a couple of days ago where another person and i were chatting about how long HCG stays in the system after the shot - i'm pretty sure 1500 iu was only in the system for a few days
i'm so hoping the result you appear to have gotten is accurate hun - you deserve this so much!
-
So does this mean its +s. Did I miss some thing...lol
Yes as bg said, we talked about it and bg is right.
Awww im so excited
-
it's funny - i've heard about people i know IRLthat have fallen pg lately, and i can't manage to even garner some false happiness for them, but the thought of one of the girls on here who has struggled to have a bubba getting a positive result makes me smile every time.
really hoping you get confirmation in a couple of days Lynn - it will make me feel a whole lot more confident that the "pressure" is a good sign!
and missy, you didn't miss anything, but if you re-read lynns post, she said she won't believe she's pg until she gets the BT - so it had to be a positive! (well, that's what the deductive side of my brain is telling me)
-
Awww yes Im the same bg. I love hearing about the ladies in here getting BFP. Although it can be hard some times it truely is wonderful because they go through alot.
Oh deeeeeerrrr Me...lol. Awww im sure its a true reading lynn. I'll be  that its all good for you. and you too bg
-
i think there's more than a few prayers out there for you at the moment Lynn
(butt i'll admit you don't get them all - gotta be selfish and keep some for me! LOL)
-
Good Evening Ladies,
I have attempted to chat over the last couple of days but have been rather social - so I'm making up for all of you! I'm sure that's because I have not taken any drugs for this cycle so I'm feeling v normal - still not one side effect but think I'll do a HPT tomorrow morning which will be day 14 of my cycle.
I guess the other thing that makes this easier for me is that I have a 10mth DD to distract me and to take the pressure off getting pregnant - mind you I really want this like all of you but I am grateful for what I have. Let me assure you that the tww will go much quicker for you next time (coz you'll all get BFP's this time) and you'll have a DD or DS to chase after - or two or one of each for those of us who have had 2 embies transfered!
A question for you - why so many diff BT dates? Is it diff cycle days (or lack of in the case of some women)? Or is it just diff clinic standards? ie, my clinic indicates you must have a BT even if AF arrives?
I am feeling particularly positive for all of us today, have also napped the last two days which I'm taking as a positive sign - hopefully I'm growing a little embie (I'll ignore the late nights and early mornings I've had). Will do a HPT tomorrow which may bring me back to reality - but until then I'll continue to be positive - and therefore suffer the paranoia that maybe the scrambled eggs I ate for brekky weren't quite 100% cooked - and all the other food worries that come with pregnancy.
Lynn, I can't believe that people are so insensitive, you have suffered every women's worst nightmare, you are so brave. I agree with Missy, from being on this forum you will have so many more people praying for you - but don't worry Missy, I'm praying for all of us!
Sorry for the long rant - trying to make the most of the little time I have online!
Nat
-
hi nat - and woo hoo at getting through the tww relatively unscathed!!!
i think the different BT dates are due to clinic standards - the comments i got when i asked why my tww was so long was that it was best to make sure AD was really late - but that's kinda hard to judge when you've NEVER had a cycle - so i'm just running on the idea that a three week 2ww is just ridiculous, and doing my HPTday 14 (provided DH doesn't change his mind - why did i leave this up to him - was i out of my mind??)
good luck in the morning - and fingers crossed!
-
Hi BG, you're good to have even consulted your DH on when to take the HPT, I went out and bought one without even telling my DH - not that I was keeping it a secret and he knows I'll test tomorrow it just didn't occur to me that I should ask his thoughts on it.
If I had to wait 3 weeks I think I'd do a HPT at 2 weeks and if it's positive go to my GP to get a BT - no way would I wait for the clinic - it's cruel!!
Re getting thru the tww, it has helped not having any symptoms - no Crinone messing with my mind with pg like symptoms. Somehow I've managed to keep myself mostly neutral to whether I am or I'm not - sometimes I'm negative and sometimes I'm positive - like the last couple of days.
Mostly I've just been busy and haven't had the time to think about it like I did last cycle - plus I was feeling sore and sorry for myself after the full stim cycle so I just couldn't forget about it - like you all that need to go back for injections etc - how are you supposed to distract yourself when you've got to keep popping back into the clinic?
Thinking of you all but will especially be thinking of Lynn tomorrow - Lynn all the best with getting through the day - I hope your HPT reflects your BT results - you deserve some wonderful news.
Nat
-
nat - i know i'm a super impatient person, so i left the testing time frame in DH's hands - otherwise i'd be testing WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too early!!!
it was deinitely out of self preservation!
-
Well today and tomorrow for crinone gel. If af is coming it will most prob be here wed night. awww so scard. Good luck nat with you test. Cant wait to her your BFP...good luck.
BG Im not sure if im going to test. Might wait till thursday now...lol...af should be here by then if she is coming. What you think. Im so scard!!!

Hi everyone,
Been a bit down the last couple of days - have developed flu-like symptoms and can't imagine what effect it is having on what is going on in my body. Felt really nauseas on Sat night - also that horrible hot/cold shaky feeling you get with a flu. Had bad stomach cramps yesterday and developed a sore throat last night. Having the day off work today - think it is my body telling me just to slow down and rest. Rang the docs this morning and was advised only to have panadol - and to go to my GP if I get worse to get antibiotics.
I haven't been sick in ages - why now at this most crucial time. It is making me feel more negative about things going well this cycle.
Ellie - wishing you all the best if / when you decide to do your HPT. As much as we all want to get to the end of the TWW, we also want to prolong the "unknown" for a bit longer... Lots of "POSITIVE" vibes and wishes going your way. I don't think I will do a HPT until the weekend.
Lynn - Wishing you lots and lots of good luck with your BT on the 31st.
BG - Your DH and my DP are the same age! We haven't really talked about how long we will try for. I know he has concerns about being an "older dad" - but it seems to be so much more common now anyway. I just site Brad Pitt as a good example!
Take care all,
K
-
OMG - I am so sorry..
I meant that first reply for you Missy. I need to stop jumping across to other threads. I am getting confused with names (and I will blame my flu and light-headedness for it too).
I am sorry Missy... :(
-
Hey Kimy dont worry about it hun. Ive done that before. Im so sorry your feeling yuk. Im sort of getting over my flu but still have alot of gunk in my nose and throat. I really hope you get better soon. It so doesnt help the TWW does it. Makes you wonder why now do we have to be sick.
Rest up and get better soon.
