    Naturopath?

Hi, I am considering using a Naturopath after 6 failed months of clomid. I have a number for a lady that a friend has seen. She was trying for two years (unassisted) and in her second month seeing this lady she fell PG. My friend got the number from a neighbour who, after 5 failed attempts of IVF used this same lady and fell PG soon after.

I guess what I am asking is what should I expect? My friend told me she was told to start temping and charting etc, but I am not a fan of that as I believe it drives you crazy!

    TIA

I think I depends on the Naturopath. I saw
One and didn't need to temp etc.... She just gave me herbs
    to take.

I saw Gina Fox at fertile ground in Melb, she is fantastic. I was temping and charting. It's helpful for them apparently. I was also put on vitex.

I was already temping and charting by the time I saw a naturopath. I think I saw one when I had been TTC for about 9 months and was just about to start clomid.

The temps were useful for the naturopath to look at my hormonal function and she ended up picking up a thyroid problem before the doctor did. The charts were also useful as we could tell my ovulation was occurring late in my cycle and my luteal phase was not long enough to support implantation. Overall my cycle was around 28-30 days so this wouldn't have been picked up without the charting. By the time I saw a FS which was not long after the naturopath she agreed that my ovulation point and luteal phase were not ideal and put me on medication (clomid, then FSH and also progesterone).

I also had blood tests (she asked for my GP to do) and read them differently to the doctor (different ranges etc). I took a lot of vitamins etc, a herbal tonic and was given simple advice about increasing my green veg, egg intake and decreasing my dairy.

I also saw an acupuncturist a few months after I started seeing the naturopath.

I can't say for sure but I think the combination of naturopath, acupuncturist and western medicine helped in getting my BFP. It at least helped with increasing my energy levels, reducing the overwhelming sadness and somehow made things more manageable.

If you see a naturopath make sure they are qualified in fertility management. As Babyluv mentioned Fertile Ground is a good place if you live in Melbourne. The whole atmosphere is tranquil. I saw Nerida Moorhouse who used to work at Fertile Ground and now works privately in Northcote at the Osteopath Clinic.

Thanks ladies, I'm still unsure what I'm going to do. I've never really believed in natural remedies, but maybe I will give this lady a try. If IVF didn't work for one of her patients, but natural remedies did, she must be doing something right!
