IUI frustration

Hi all,
I am so upset atm & think I just need to vent or tell my story.
I have a beautiful 2.5 yr old daughter who was coneived after 2 long years through iui with chlomid on the 2nd cycle.

We are now trying for our 2nd bub & are at the 2nd cycle with IUI but this time with purogen, then after insemination I have the 4 shots of pregnol.

I am 2wks after insemination today so had my b/t today & was told that it was a BFN, she also told me it looks like af might be quite a few days away & if not here by next wednesday to call & have another b/t.
Not sure why af would take so long to get here?

I am feeling so pg atm (which is just plain cruel), huge boobs so tired etc but I felt pg last month too, I am guessing it is the pregnol injections causing this?

The thing that is hard to understand is with purogen injections it is supposed to be more successful than the chlomid & yet the chlomid only took 2 cycles, I feel like I'm doing so much more this time & my body is all over the place - is it possible for women to react better to different drugs?
It certainly isn't any easier the 2nd time around.

Yeah, I guess it's the pregnyl that makes you feel pregnant. I don't know about the different meds. I guess if clomid worked for you last time you could give it another go?

it sounds like your progesterone levels were very high from the pregnyl shots. it's so annoying as a lot of the pg symptomes you get are from the progesterone - so you feel pg when you've been jabbed with pregnyl

i hate that our bodies don't respond the way we believe they should - one month a drug works, one it doesn't. hopefully it will happen for you very soon

It's so frustrating. The pregnyl definitely made me feel pregnant which was so cruel I thought!

We got lucky on our third round of IUI. What I think made the difference for us was I started accupuncture just before my third cycle. I would definitely recommend it in conjunciton with AC.

Hi all, We are on our 2nd IUI, and Iam on Gonal, first round was so hopefull and felt pregnant has all the signs, sore boobs sore lower back, tastes changed, it was so cruel and i totally believe it was my Ovidrel shots, so not going to get my hopes up and not even going to book my blood test, going to wait it out.....
