Hi As the title says, OH and I have been wanting a baby together for 5 years... A little about us:
We have been together 7 years, living together 6. OH is wonderful and loving - he is also older than me.He does have children from a past marriage who I get along with fine, they are older and have their own families. OH and I have had many discussions about how having a baby will affect us, and we know we have a great environment and so much love to give him/her.
Me? I am youngish, 23. I am also obese... 120kgs at the moment. I was 140kgs but have lost 20kgs so far - still a while to go. I had an operation last year for a large cyst on my right ovary. They never said I have PCOS and said everything looks 'fine'.
I also had not had my period for 5 years. I am taking the pill as of last month hoping to get them and this month they have arrived. Im onto my 4th day with them so I am hoping combining weight loss and taking the pill to hopefully regulate my periods OH and I can soon get off it and hopefully vreate our miracle.
Anyone else going through something similar of just general statements and advice
Well done on the weight loss, that is fantastic! I don't have any advice but I do know how hard it can be, our DD took 5 years to conceive and it was such a long and hard time. Hopefully this treatment is just what you need and you have your little miracle soon
Hi! Welcome to bb! My dhis older than me too with grown up children with their own families. So if you need any one to talk to on that side, im here =)
Congrats on the weightloss. Keep it up! Ttc is a fantastic motivator =)
thanks everyone
Lily Dust: thankyou for your words Hopefully we do get our miracle soon.
Mumma T - thankyou
TT40 - Thankyou Oh is about 30 years older than I am, with a past life. I found this really hard to get past and sometimes I still struggle with it. He and his ex wife get on fine and she and I get on fine too. It's just hard sometimes, but I love him, and all those past choices eventually lead to him and I. Weightloss is hard but I am determined to get rid of it... just wish it happened quicker! haha
I have PCOS and was on the pill for 10 years. When I came off them I didnt have a cycle for 4 months but I had lost 30kg in 2 yr and on that 4th month we fell pregnant! It is possible but I do believe that my weight loss helped kick start my cycles again.
Im now pregnant with #3. Fell pregnant with #2 after 3 months of fairly regular cycles and charting my temps and CM. This time round was a big surprise... I am definitely one of those PCOS success stories..
I hope your TTC journey is a short one. Wrll done on the weight loss too... massive effort. Keep it up!
Thank you everyone for your replies
I am hoping with weight loss baby just comes... although at the moment I have a brownish EWMC discharge (sorry if TMI) and part of me is hoping it is inplantation - but sensible side saying very unlikely... haha.
OH and I have already discussed baby names, and he would love Karrol if we conceived a girl in the future - and I love the middle names Carmen Fay, so hopefully she will be Karrol Carmen Fay. (the middle names are OH's mum who has passed on, and my grandmother whom I am very close too) we are not sure for boys yet, although girls do tend to run in our family more than males.
Is it a bit sad we have already chosen names? haha
