Calling all experts .. Follical size and trigger

I have a dilema .

My FS is cancelling my IUI - suggesting I trigger tonight at 10.30pm, with three leading follicals at 16/15 & 14 mm of this mornings scan, and BD for the next 4 days naturally, which is fine as my DH sperm is fine, its my egg quality that is a problem, so the sperm know where to go, and swim well.

I have a total follical count of 16 in my ovary with the tube attached, I want to wait and trigger tommorow, so I have more follicals at a better size.

The likely hood of my having octuplets is a miracle, as my egg quality is so poor. How ever they have to follow protocol, and I respect his decision. I want to push the boundaries.

I know there are some knowlegable women on this forum, what in your own personal experience, have found to be the best follical size, that you had when you triggered ?

From memory, 16 is too small - with a trigger tonight ?? Am I wrong

I agree with you wanting to wait another day to get the follies bigger before doing the trigger but don't really have any experience in it myself. But I do know at that size they have a few days to grow better/bigger IYKWIM. Wouldn't doing the trigger earlier make them release sooner and be a little immature in quality? Best of luck trying to catch the eggs when the time is right!
