I've seen there's a fair few LTTCers like DH and I who have just finished an unsuccessful cycle and can't start again til 2009.
So we are taking the "maybe we'll get a natural little miracle over christmas'' tact.
Anyone else there thinking the same?? Do you do anything special?? Do you use anything from your cycle (knowledge/drugs/mindset) to try and help yourself along???
We don't really think we'll get preg, but we figure it's fun to try and it's a positive way of looking forward after our recent BFN. We are going away so won't really worry about it too much (well, see what i say one day out from january's AF, lol).
Just wanted to wish you luck Hayley! We're big believers in miracles...there have been quite a few around here this year...I hope we can add you to the list after Chrissy What did we do...drank lots...ate lots...and well...DTD lots lol!!! Enjoy !!!
and Ellie -'' drink lots, eat lots, dtd lots ''--- i believe i can obey! and I don't think i'll need to employ too many female charms to convince DH of this theory. lol.
Thanks Hayley...I really hope you have a great Christmas...and I hope our story gives you a little 'boost' of hope...oh and my fertility clinic are officially calling my last cycle my 'alcohol cycle' lol...they've been recommending it to others for over the Chrissy break
Hey Hayley - oh twin of mine lol. I was thinking this very quietly - DH and I need to take a step back, be naughty, be spontaneous and drink up! After my negative I thought - at least I can drink at teh work xmas party!
My DP and I have are trying naturally this month too. After getting a low reading after my BT, I wasnt able to immediately start another stim cycle.
The clinic told me that since I had a reading, my ovualation may be later so they told me to use an ovulation test so we could time it more accurately so thats what we've done.
My FS never said that we couldnt get pregnant naturally but after all the surgery Ive had this year and our age, he said to try IVF straight away so thats what we've done.
I too am hoping and for a Christmas miracle. Lets hope we can all get some good BFP's for Christmas
Possums, it would be a LOVELY surprise and great Christmas present.
AF for me is due around the 19th/20th so have another week to go.
Again, have never been pregnant so dont know what symptoms I should be looking out for (if any at all) during a natural cycle. Ive read that implantation can take up to 8-12 days after ovulation??? If thats the case, that wont be until early next week for me.
Anyway, I have done lots of
There are a few of us in here going natural this month. I must say, Im enjoying being drug free! I found that they really knocked me around.
my biggest issue is what my friend calls 'a transport problem'...i keep having funny images of DHs sperm trying to battle their way along my damaged tube on one side, like a big obstacle course, and other unfortunate sperm swimming their hearts out, to end up simply headbutting on the other side, where it's been sealed off after the tube removal!
Maybe, one heroic swimmer will make it to my egg, and fertilise , and the embryo won't get stuck in the obstacle course tube, but will move beautifully into a cosy spot in my uterus and snuggle in.... ahhhh I hope it's on the way there right now
I'm going to put in a special Christmas wish for all those Mums awaiting their bubs to ask that the way is lit brightly so they can find them and that the wait is short. Stay healthy and positive and may your little Christmas miracle see the path to the love of your home as soon as possible.
