Clomid - why different cycle days?

Hi,

Does anyone know why there are different days for taking clomid? I am prescribed CD 2-6, I've heard of 5-10, 3-9 etc. Can anyone enlighten me?!

Hey Zoe

I had mine CD 9-13...but this was only because I wanted to start ASAP...and when the clomid was prescribed I was day 8-9...

I was incredibly fortunate and got my BFP my first cycle of clomid...

If I hadn't though, I was going to have if from days 2-6 the next cycle.

I don't know if the different cycle days make any difference...sorry! Good question though!

I am taking clomid cd 2-6. I think he said that way I get more eggs recruited and matured. I was having issues with O being very late (Cd22-24). With taking the clomid cd2-6 I have confirmed O around CD13-15.

Thanks for replying - I was just really curious because I thought I was the only one on CD 2-6, as every time I read about clomid it seems to be day 5-9! I also have late ovulation, maybe that's why. Thanks guys! Best of luck.

I also have mine CD2-6 i read a study that this particular days were alot more successful.

hi ladies, my fs also prescribed day 2-6, she said it was also to ensure that day 1 of AF isnt actually an implantation bleed to ensure you aren't actually pregnant. She said start on day 2 when the flow is heavier to ensure it is a normal period.

Im a CD2-6 person also! I have taken it from CD3-7 because i was seeing FS on CD2 and wasnt sure if he wanted me to take it so i missed that morning dose and i completely through the ovulation day out by a week or so from the previous cycle.
