Question Could an ectopic show as neg on BT results??

Hi ladies - i've been away from BB for a long time, having a break from the ttc and ivf world - so now i find myself 5 days late, and i've never - never - been late before - i'm a strict 28/29 day cycle girl. Today is day 34 - i poas yesterday, and it showed neg - i managed an appt with my GP today for a BT - which also came back neg - perhaps i've jumped the gun a bit, but given my history, i was hoping i may be preg - how silly of me - but now i'm hoping it's not an ectopic, could an ectopic show as neg on Bt results and still disrupt my cycle??

Hoping someone may have a similar experience to share - thanks xx

My first pregnancy was an ruptured ectopic and my HPT were really really feint, but BT def comfirmed that I was pregnant..... so I am of the understanding that even if it is ectopic your HCG will be present.... if you are really worried ask for an ultrasound to see whats going on hun .......hugs xox

As Chepie has said a pg, regardless of where ie: ectopic will show HCG in your system.

Thanks for your responses - yeah, i thought as such, that an ectopic would show as positive. It's just the universe playing stupid games with me. Now i just wait and see how long it takes for af i guess.

    thanks again xx

I had a decent BFP at 10DPO with my ectopic also. HCG took 2.5days to rise so slower then normal but not completely slow either. I am told it can take longer to get a BFP with ectopic but you should still get one. I personally think mine showed quick as it implanted in the tube before it would in the uterus so I actually got a BFP before I would have if it made it to the right spot.
