At the moment I am 13dpiui and have had sone very confusing results this month.
Being a spaz I started POAS at about 5dp. I know I know?.mental!! But then at 8dp I used one of those Pregnow tests and was sure that I saw a Had to have it under a bright light though. I had no more tests here so rushed to the chemist and brought one of the Pregnosis tests and a Crystal Clear test. I?d never used Pregnosis before so had a little giggle at the floatation ring. Had to wait about 2 hours (why I rushed out to buy it I don?t know!) so the concentration could build up again and then forgot to watch the clock properly. Anyway there was a very definite light blue line next to the control line?????? AARRGGHH So obviously I then started obsessing + or evap line. There was two lines on the Crystal clear also.
At 9dp I did the other Pregnisis test in the morning and it was a bfn. Of course I wasn't satisfied with that so I went and raided the bathroom cupboard to see what else I could use and I had a Forelife (hidden at the back of the cupboard), 2 Crystal clear and a Clearblue Digital. I have been saving the Clearblue for the day I know it will be +tive because they are so much more expensive than the others. But to satisfy my curiosity I'll give in. Well I didn?t just pick one and use that I used all three. Told ya?..spaz! The Forelife?.nada. The Clearblue NOT PREGNANT (I hate those 2 words) but the Crystal clear so then I start questioning that. The line came up immediately and I could see it from a distance but it was a really light blue and super skinny. Not at all what the line looks like on the leaflet. So is it a faulty test or really a BFP??? Then I of course have to be sure so up I go to get the other test (serial POASer I never buy single packs) and it takes longer but the same thing happens.
10dp did another test with a Confirm test bfn. I had been reading up on the Crystal clears and lots of people have said they don't trust them. Had brought another 2 pack of Crystal clear though so I go ahead and use one. Another BFP. I absolutley know that the line isn't an evap. It's way way to blue and came up straight away. The confusion doesn't end.
11dp I did a first response and it was bfn.Tried not to think about it all day and then yesterday morning (12dp) used what I had left which was the last first response - negative and the last Crystal clear which was again. Rather than spend all my money on HPT I went and had the beta done that morning. Well the results from the beta were
She said that they didn't detect a pregnancy and that my progesterone was at 16 and I should get AF in about 3 days.
So after all that my question is has anyone had an experiance like like with Crystal Clear? I had 3 full on postitives and still got a negative beta. At 13dpiui surely the beta was right so I have to assume that I am one of the unluckiest people in the world to get three false postitives in the same cycle.
I know I'm not gonna be the only one that this has ever happened to but I'm wallowing in my own misery at the moment. Was damn sure this was my month.
Hi Bec, - what a stressful and upsetting week you have had - I'm so sorry that your BT came back a BFN when you were getting some positive results - it is just not fair . Can only hope that while this month has not been the one for you, that it will happen soon.
When we started our TTC journey we had a positive with a Crystal test, approx 3 weeks after AF was due, but then had a neg BT 4 days after and then AF arrived. I'm not sure what happened but it was upsetting and it was also the start of our journey - till that point we had not really thought about having kids. So I guess these things happen but knowing that is not going to make it any easier for you.
Take care and be kind to yourself for the next few days - you have every right to feel upset and miserable.
I believe it was a Crystal Clear that I used back in March/April when I had a BFP and a few days later I got my af, so I was led to believe I had a chemical pregnancy. I could clearly see line and I was definately feeling sick.
I had a bt a week later which was negative, but it may have been too late to detect any HCG in my system.
Same thing happened to me with Crystal Clear. I hate them. Thin light blue line the day before AF was due. The next morning I had spotting (which later turned into AF). I tested and BFP again, but it was a false positive. Never again!
it's so stress full to do preg tests early i did same as you first time and got BFP then af started. the fs said i prob had early miscarriage. i hate preg tests. good luck next time

I have been doing my own head in and needed to share!
I got that first positive and that was it!! Had to keep testing and make sure it was still there!!!
