    Diagnosed with NKcells

Hi girls, just after a bit of hope.
I was diagnosed with NKcells, after LTTTC and 1 M/C.
I am currently on my second cycle IVF, the first being treated with my diagnosis.
    Am taking:
    5mg Folate
    15mg Prednisolone
    VitB complex
    Crinone Pessaries
    Asprin
and was taking Doxic antibiotic up until my EPU.

Has anyone had a successfull pregnancy being treated for NKcells?? I understand that all of the studies on the cells are fairly new, was just after a bit of hope XXXX

    Hi MurrayCod
After trying for 2.5 yrs (unexplained infertility) I have just this month been diagnosed with abnormally high NK cells as well. My FS gave me some of the research articles from the medical literature on NK cells. There are mixed views on the role of NK cells in infertility and miscarriage. However, the literature is pretty clear that Prednisolone does reduce the number of NK cells. In addition there was an article about a very perservering UK woman who after 19 miscarriages was treated for high NK cells with Prednislone and had her first child.
The very best of luck to you.

My regime as recommended by DR. Sacks in sydney was 25mg prednisone till week 13 and 40mg clexane injections till 20 weeks.....did the trick for us on our second cycle on this regime. Good Luck!

Airline my darling how are you!!! So glad you have braved it back, honey I think of you often X
NKcells are Natural Killer Cells, everyone has them, but mine are classed as highly over reactive, they bind themselves to anything foreign in the uterus and attack it.
There has not been much studies on them, all very new over the past 5yrs.
NKcells are meant to focus on killing tumours and cancerouse cells, they make their own chemotherapy drug to kill, not a good thing when trying to fall PG.
I caved the other day and found out I am UTD!!!! Have been on the right drugs to stop the NKcells, so hopefully it keeps doing it's thing.
