    Drugs after ET??

Ok, so some of you will read this and think I am totally CRAZY!!!

BUT..what is your opinion on taking panadol after TF?

I had TF yesterday and am pretty uncomfortable with pain still from EPU, a really swollen ovary and fluid in my pouch of Douglas.

FS says take panadol, but I just don't want to do anything to risk these little embies.

    Am I crazy!!??

Of course you are not crazy Bel sweeite.

My FS instruct me after both EPU and TF that you can take Panadol but not asprin, it won't pose any negative effect on your precious embies.

I also had thoughts along the similar line afraid of hurting whatever is going on inside, but they told me its actually better to take it so you are feeling comfortable rather than endure the pain, that way your body can relax to take in the little bubs.

I say go for it hun!

Another thing I want to mention is did FS mention the risk of OHSS given your ovary is a bit swollen? If yes, it will get worse if you are pregnant, then it will gradually go down. Drink lots lots of water and it will ease the symptoms. I was instructed to drink 2L a day in my first cycle as I was on the verge of OHSS...

    Yes, drink like fish pls!

    Yup - crazy....

No problem with the Panadol...if you can take it during the first trimester without issue - you can take it during the TWW...won't affect your chances at all honey-pie...

Bel - panadol and even panadeine is fine to take in pregnancy - even the first trimester. I have certainly had panadeine during my first 3 months for hormone headaches and our little one is perfect.

I'm so excited about your transfer and this cycle - everything is looking so good!

    Thanks for the replies girls...

Well have definately got over the panandol fear. Am onto morphine now as Im in hospital with OHSS.

Cried hysterically when they were going to give me morphine, but my FS assured me it would do absolutely no harm to the little ones. I really had no choice with the pain I was in...panadol did and still does nothing.

    Thanks again

aw hunny - so sorry the OHSS has gotten to the point of hospitilisation - take it easy - and remember, OHSS gets worse when you get your BFP, so rest up - it could get worse before it gets better
