I'd like to introduce myself.
My name's Deirdre Page and I'm a 4th year psychology student at Monash University.
Through my own experience with infertility I have decided to focus my 4th year thesis on this topic - some may remember that I use to be a member of this board almost 2 years ago!
Details of the study:
Support for the Infertile Couple - Study
Infertility is not only a medical issue it is also a social one.
The support a couple receives from within their relationship in addition
to support from close family, and friends can influence how well that
couple copes with their infertility. In some cases a lack of support has
been linked to feelings and experiences of social isolation.
This study aims to investigate how couples support one another by
assessing the quality of their marital relationship, how they cope with
stressful events, as well as looking at the significant role family and
friends play by measuring the couples perceived social support.

Kind Regards,
Deirdre
