A Small Glass of Red Wine - is it ok???

Hi Ladies. Right I'm having a shocker of a day, either on the verge of tears or balling my eyes out. DH is due home very shortly. I'm 4 days away from my final blood test after an IUI. Can I have a small glass of red wine tonight just to take the edge off??? I think it's ok but if you tell me it's a shocking idea then I'll just pop the cork and sniff it!!!

It would probably be ok but why risk it.

Baby2Bee: Sorry darls, when you have an embryo transfer with IVF, the "new" protocol is NO alcohol whilst "pregnant until proven otherwise", and NO alchohol throughout the preg, it used to be a wine or two every now and again is fine, they have now changed their guidelines..to no drinking at all !!

Try and go for a walk or have a soak in the tub, or watch a girlie movie and "ball your eyes out", we know how stressfull it is, and beleive me, after you have that wine, you will think "what did I do that for"

The bub doesn't share Mum's blood supply until 2 weeks after conception. It takes them this long to implant and make blood vessels into mum's supply. drinking during the first 2 weeks will not enter bub.
