I finally have my appointment date with the fertility specialist on the 6th of September YAY!
What I am wondering though is what I can expect? Is there particular questions or tests I should ask for or should I just follow what ever they ask/say? I am a bit of a wuss in speaking out to professionals so I am hoping if I can be as prepared as possible it may help.
Our background -
We have been TTC for 15 cycles, had a m/c back in cycle 10 (March 2011).
I have had CD12 U/S, CD21 Bloodwork, DH has SA and all results were great.
I suspect I may have a clotting issue as (TMI warning) my AF is really clotty - even more so since the m/c, and I have previously had a bloodclot.
I know I have a 12 day LP.
All advice and comments appreciated
Thanks in advance

Good luck at the FS. We had our appointment booked in and on cycle 16 we fell pregnant with DS so I got to cancel our appointment YAY Thankfully our OB was also an IVF and fertility specialist and also worked at the fertility clinic we had booked into. He had done as many tests as he could (many of which it sounds like you have done also) There were a few more tests that they only did through the Fertility Clinic but I can't remember what they were. We had 3 mc's in a 12 month period and the OB was happy to do all the tests that he thought could have been causing it. He did reassure us though that it does take on average 12 cycles for most couples to conceive which sounds really patronising when you are the one ttc but at the same time brings you back to reality.
Good luck bubbat!
They will probably want to repeat those blood tests. They generally take a history (so, yeeah, you're repeating yourself again) and a whole heap of blood (there are roughly 3 gazzilion things they can test for). They generally do a pelvic exam and ultrasound also (depends). Your DH will get much the same.
Then depending on all that they'll talk about what you want to do next
Our first appointment consisted of the introductions and a handful of referrals. Have to agree with MadB, you may find that most of your tests will be repeated unfortunately but I was assured this is because our FS can be sure and trust his team iykwim. We then had bloods to check I was Oing and DH had a sperm analysis. When all that was clear we moved on to ultrasounds and laparoscopy etc. I think you have a covered a lot in your post, so maybe take that along to prompt you on any questions if you get overwhelmed. Your FS may also ask about when and how often you DTD and perhaps a bit of family history. Good luck with it all, hun
I agree with what the other ladies have said... no doubt you'll walk out of your FS appointment exhausted from repeating yourself and with a handful of repeat BT scripts!
Have you been tracking your cycles on FF? When I saw my first FS, I took along a print out of my cycle summary. I found it easier to hand that to her, rather than trying to remember every cycle length.
I walked out of my first appt with BT scripts, an SA script for DH and information on clomid and HyCoSy tests.
Don't stress about though hun! Anything you can think of and any questions you want answered, just write them down and take them along.
Thanks so much everyone. You have really helped ease my mind. I will make a list of what I think might help. I have a tonne of records ready to go so I will just take them all and they can use what they want and retest for what they want. Luckily I will be CD 19 when I go so we can get straight onto day 21 test if they want to repeat them. I am not fussed what they want to repeat, I am so glad that I can do it through the public system though.
