How do you know the clomid is working?

How do you know it's working? I'm only getting hot flushes for a couple of hours and I'm scared it's not working? Am I being a worry wart?

I am not really sure. Sometimes they do blood tests to confirm you are ovulating or a scan to see the size of the follie/s or after ovulation should show a corpus luteum. Did your Dr give you path forms to go see on a certain day? Often they don't but its a good idea to have them done to confirm or see if its working or you need a higher dose.

The only way you can tell is by blood tests and scans to check hormones and growing follicles.
Don't let it scare you, I reacted badly I think. Please don't get scared because you aren't getting any side effects, its probably a good thing!

    Just a question

Should I feel bloated? I have been getting cramps all over my pelvic area is this normal?

I had fairly bad side effects to clomid when I was on it. I cramped a lot more when I O'd (or maybe I just didn't cramp before becasue I didn't O), I got quite bad headaches, and I'd feel very slow. That one is hard to explain. It was like I saw things happening and knew they were, but I didn't care, or coulnd't react fast enough. It was like I was in slow motion but the rest of the world was still movng as usual. I also got a bit of facial hair not heaps, but probably about half a dozen grey whiskers.

As I mentioned before my first cycle on it did nothing. The next cycle though I knew it was working becasue I got heaps of EWCM and I never got that before, or if I did it was just a little tiny bit. I had blood tests on day 21 to confirm that I had or had not O'd, that's really the only real way to be able to tell. The first month I did O (my second cycle of clomid) I didn't O until about day 19.

Do you temp or chart or anything like that? I could usually tell if/when I O'd based on my temps.

If I remember correctly it's estimated that you'll O between 5 and 9 days AFTER finishing your last clomid tablet (pretty sure that was what I was told). Do if you are still taking the tablets, or have only just finished you may not feel anything yet for up to a week.

I finished the last tablet on the 18th so I should be close now

Has your doctor scheduled a blood test for you? That really is the only real way of knowing if you O'd or not.

Were your cycles very regular before you were put on the clomid? I'm asking that becasue mine weren't very regular at all. The first cycle I O'd on clomid (100mg), like I said earlier, I am pretty sure it was on about day 19, so that would have been about 10 or 11 days after I took my last tablet. I'm pretty sure it wasn't until about my 3rd cycle on 100mg that my O day came to within the 5-9 days after timeframe. The whole waiting game is always very frustrating

    Aw Ty hehe

I was thinking the progesterone will tell me if I have ovulated and maybe the plasma would be high because I'd say you would produce more when youare pg
