Hi everyone, I really need some advice! Last Sunday was day 24 of my cycle and I started getting cramps and then some brown/pinkish spotting. I thought my AF had come early, I wasn't due until Friday. On Monday I had no cramps or a flow but had brown spotting with what I can only describe as tissue coming out. There was some pinkish blood when I wiped. I had never experienced this so went to the doctor who said he thought I could have had a m/c previously and this was what the tissue was, either that or an early miscarriage (failed implantation). I had a tiny bit of spotting on Tuesday and had an ultrasound which there was nothing there. I asked if he thought it could be actual implantation but he said it was most likely an early miscarriage. Urine test was negative. I basically spotted from Sunday until Tuesday, had nothing on Wednesday then thursday had a tiny bit of red spotting, which I noticed on the pad only once when I went to the toilet. I have been so exhausted and just generally feeling emotional and unwell. For the last couple of days I have felt sharp twinges on both sides where my ovaries are. I decided to take a test this morning because I just feel weird. I had 2 lines appear but one was very faint, so confusing!! I did another this afternoon and it was completely negative. I honestly don't know what to think. Just want to mention that I had a laparoscopy in August to remove endometriosis but my 3 periods I have had since then have been normal. Help, anyone???
Hi Bella_
Our bodies are crazy some times arent they! I would wait another week and if AF hasnt started then I would test again. I will cross my fingers for you
Yes they are!! I just can't work out what's going on!! Do I count the spotting I had last week as the start of my cycle or what?? My last proper period was on the 2nd of November so 4 weeks and 2 days ago. If I was actually pregnant wouldn't a test pick it up already? Thanks for replying
Did the ultrasound check your ovaries/tubes or just the uterus. It sounds like a chemical pregnancy but if the pain continues, I'd ask to be checked for a possible ectopic. Having recently had one, I am particularly paranoid about them. It's more likely a chemical though.
I had a normal ultrasound and then they done an internal to look at my ovaries etc. normally during my cycle I feel when I ovulate or about to as I get twinges on one side and the middle pain. There is definitely something going on, even if I counted the spotting as my new cycle I would only be on day 8. It wouldn't make sense for me to be feeling twinges etc this early in my cycle as it has been going on for a couple of days. I always ovulate day 15/16. I ovulated then last time so the spotting arrived 8/9 dpo. I will just test again in the morning and then if its negative and I am still getting those ovary pains then I will go back to the doctor. I had a chemical pregnancy last year but it was much different. I have always wondered about a short leautal phase?! Oh we'll time will tell I suppose!!
