IUI - do you pay for the drugs?? Is it an opportunity to use leftover IVF drugs??

    Hi

I know nothing about IUI. But I do have two full gonal f pens, a box of crinone and some progesterone pessaries left from this year's IVF cycles.
I was wondering if you take drugs with IUI? If so, do you pay extra for them?

I don't want to throw out the drugs and, as I have already paid for them I thought I could them for an extra, cheaper-than-IVF, assisted conception cycle of some sort. (I will get more when I do my next IVF cycle).

    Hope this makes sense...

    Any advice would be great!

At QFG, IUI is a global cycle so all the gonal F and hcg and p4 is included for free. I pay 685 for my IUI and get 570 back.

it would all come in under the management fee. i only ever paid extra for the antagonist drugs (and the bill for those hurt - $100 a day!)

    Thanks for your quick replies!!!

Hmmm...so basically there's no way I can use them to potentially get UTD cheaper....??

Hi n2l, i have 3 gonal pens from cancelled ivf cycle. The nurse told me they cost about $600 ea! They would not let me return them, and i havent had the heart to throw them out! If you find a use for them let me know!! I joked with them i would put them on eBay!!
