Not sure what's going on with my cycle?

I'm not really sure what's going on and was wondering if someone has had similar experiences.

I'm tandem feeding so my cycle took a long time to return this time around (first time at 4 months, this time 16 months). In January, I know I ovulated (OPK) and then AF arrived 13 days later confirming so. 39 days later, AF arrived again. I was using OPKs and Billings, but I think either I missed Ov, or didn't ov. 27 days later, I had very light brown discharge (sorry, tmi) for 2 days only. Thought it may have been an implant bleed, but not so. 30 days later, an even lighter brown discharge for half a day only. Ten days later (today) I *think* I have AF, but it's very light.

In summary, I know I've ovulated once for a fact (preceded cycle return), I've had 2 normal AFs and 2 light brown discharges (far from a period) and another light AF starting today. I'm definitely not pregnant (tested quite a few times-would have been 4, 5, 6, 7 weeks if I was).

I went to the GP last week with this info, and she's referred me to the gyn to discuss clomid.

But, I'm really interested (and a little concerned TBH) to figure out what's going on. As far as I understand it (very little understanding), don't you need a proper AF before you can start clomid anyway? It doesn't appear as though I'm going to get a proper AF.

Would love to hear your experiences....

BTW, fell preg easily with first two on first and second cycle.

don't really have much advice, but wanted to give you a reply (not millions of views) =)

My understanding is some women take a few cycles to get back into it? as in AF might return, but maybe start as irregular and take a few cycles to regulate.

I don't have any personal experience though. but hope you work it out.

Did your dr do any blood tests to assess what's happening with your hormone levels? Your bfing may still be suppressing ovulation (due to lower oestrogen levels). I would've thought getting some bloods would help clarify what's happening.
