LH already surging - advised I can or don't have to do trigger

    Hi,

I need some advice from, I assume mainly IUI people & /or IVF people.

I am currently on CD 20 and had a scan & bloods today to check my follie sizes etc... I have one follie at about 19mm. I just got a call from the nurse who advised that my LH had started to surge and the egg may be on the way but they can't tell for sure. I have no symptoms (ie: sore bbies or O pain, EWCM) to suggest I have O. She advised not to continue with puregon tonight & not to do the trigger. I then became concerned b/c from my past history, I know I do not O regularly (PCO). She then said I can do the trigger, but to do it tonight and then come in Monday for AI. She told me that it will do no harm to do the trigger and only provide hormones to support any pg. What would you do? I am thinking of doing the trigger. BTW we BD last night & have been advised to BD tonight & tomorrow night.

I would trigger tonight, there is nothing worse than LH levels rising and then fizling out which is what mine use to do. It isnt going to hurt if you are already risingf but will give it that kick if needed. If you dont you may of lost a cycle on waiting for it to actually happen and stretching your cycle out to a enormous cycle. Good luck and jab

If I was u I would be having the trigger tomorrow night on the quiet to have the iui on Monday morning. U generally ovulate 24 to 36 hours after the trigger goodluck. Hope I have helped xx

Thanks for your replies ladies - I think I will do the trigger.
BTW - Originally they told me I would probably do the trigger tomorrow night, but when she said I was already surging she said tonight at 10.30pm and to BD for the next two nights.... far out... I will chat to DH & see what he says but he usually follows what the clinic says........
