Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception 2012 July

Hi Ladies, sadly it looks like I am back in this thread.

I had a scan late yesterday and unfortunatly bubs stopped growing about 3 weeks ago. I have to go in for a d&c on Monday then we shall see what our next step is. I know I will have to miss a cycle. We still have 2 frosties left.

DH and I are pretty devastated as we thought it was finally our turn. Everyone has been amazing, but the texts send me off crying again.

Vic, I'm so sorry to hear that. We went through it in January and it's such a shock. :comfort: Are you getting any testing done? I found it helped to know there was a chromosomal problem, but I know others prefer not to know.

Krikkit, in my experience the oracle HPTs are NOT sensitive. Last year I didn't get a BFP until 13dpo and the FRER the same day was clear as a bell, so I'm sure I'd have gotten a line much earlier if I'd been using the FRER instead of the oracle ones. I've just switched to inpregnancy on the recommendation of a friend but haven't had a chance to test the sensitivity since I've only gotten BFNs... :doh:

I haven't posted in this thread before but I got good news today and I need to share it somewhere.
My partner and I have been trying to conceive since May 2009. After 2 years of no results we decided that it was time to visit the specialist. Clomid didn't work for us and I have had the egg pick up today for my second IVF cycle (no eggs retrieved from the first cycle). I am so happy that we got 22 eggs and I am due to get a phone call from the lab tomorrow I say how they are going - fingers crossed!!
I have been taking DHEA so I'm hoping that the egg quality is there and I have also been doing acupuncture which I now fully believe in (I used to be a bit of a sceptic).
My first IVF cycle I took 75iu & 100iu puregon but this was upped to 250 & 350iu the second time.
I am so tired from today but quite excited so finding it difficult to sleep ;)

Blood test today inconclusive... Have to get another one tomorrow, which means dragging a 2yo down to a regular pathology cause there is no way I can get into the city and my suburban clinic is closed on Saturdays :(
BTW this is all on public transport as DH is working and I don't drive = YAY!

Where so you buy lullaby tests from? I can only find a US supplier, is that right?

Emma, there is an Australian site. It is Lullaby Conceptions. They are in Burwood, Vic.

Larry, congrats on the great EPU result! FX for a fabulous fertilisation report tomorrow!

Afm, I finally got around to putting today's temp on my chart and FF gave me crosshairs, putting O at CD13. I've never O'd that early (without meds) and I've had fertile CM since then (normally dries up straight after O), so I'm hoping FF is wrong. The temps aren't high enough to be conclusively considered post-O. Today's was the first that went above my normal pre-O range, but was still below my normal post-O range. Gah! If FF is right, then my lap will be next cycle (about CD3) instead of this one! Haven't had a +opk, but only started CD13 because (did I mention) I haven't O'd before CD15 in the past. :wall: Tomorrow's temp should be the decider - if it goes up to normal post-O then I probably did O early; if it goes back down (please, please, please) then I should be in the clear (and O'ing late instead, because I would have expected my +opk today but it was very negative).

Today's temp stayed the same - didn't go up, didn't go down. My body hates me. :wall:

I'm retaliating with pavlova... If it won't behave then I'm eating the things that I know are bad for it (and I normally go without).

Having my 1st glass of wine in months.... Bliss.

The FS knows. I will ring his office on Monday very early but I wont be able to have biopsy. I will just go in and get my script for DHEA and melatonin I think.

16 of my eggs fertilized and egg transfer is on cd 19.....so excited!
I am so hopeful but trying to stay realistic!!

Can I join the 'no ovulation' band wagon?

I have consistently O'd on day 14 for my whole TTC journey..... Day 14 gave me a close to positive seratec and an inconclusive blood test.
Haven't got my results from yesterday's blood test- so I suppose we'll see.......

Afm well I guess DH and I should start looking at dtd as I can O from cd 11 to 14 depending on what my body wants to do. Shall try our luck for a natural one this month.
I have a very sore head after having my last 3 teeth on top row taken out and a full plate put in, my mouth is still very sore and it was done wed so I have spent most of the weekend doing nothing and my house looks like a bomb went off in it lol. Better go clean.

I just did a seratec and the test line in almost the same color as the control line. Too late for a biopsy tomorrow but hopefully I can reschedule to next Monday. I will do another seratec in the morning (rather than the internet cheapies i have been using).

Does anyone know if you can TTC the month you have a biopsy???

N2l I did a stim with my pipelle biopsy. Still a biopsy even if your is for nk cells. The trauma will help with implantation as the blood rushes to fix the area. Good luck.

Afm- d&c tomorrow. I am anxious to start ttc Asap but know that they will make me miss a cycle. God knows how long it will take for a full cycld.

n2l - i was told no ttc in biopsy cycle. bugger, huh?

afm - af has gone missing again, cd 36 today. was hoping to book my biopsy this week, but just have to wait it out. hope everyone has had a great weekend. xx

Vic, I will be thinking of you tomorrow. I know there's nothing I can say to really make it any easier for you. I just hope it goes as smoothly as it can :hug: Give yourself plenty of time to recover - emotionally, I mean. Indulge in whatever you feel like indulging in (that includes screaming the worst swear words you can think of at the top of your lungs).

Know that we are all here for you and that we are mourning the loss of your little one. Fly free little angel xxx
