Hey Ladies, well blood test went well this morning and am still waiting on a call for my levels...BUT wow I thought I had entered a butcher shop this morning!! There was about 5 women who went in before me and all came out with heat packs on their arm.
When I finally went in the nurse said that these ladies veins were not playing the part...and should have drank a little bit more water before getting there.
Note to self drink lots and lots of water...I hate being a pin cushion
Bel, :pray:ing hard that your little embie is thawing out ready for you tomorrow.
Marsha, I hear you on that. IVF is hard enough as it is without further comments...It's like a constant open wound
Kaydee, I remember reading your post in the IUI thread as I was in there when it first started and want to wish you good luck for you bloods tomorrow and US.
Kahlan, hope you were able to speak to your FS about a blood test and he/she an shed some light for you. On top of a few bad weeks this must be really the icing on the cake for you. Take care
-
thanks all for your support. i just don't know what to do next. still bleeding and BFN again for me. i feel empty.
i am hoping everyone is going well and jabbing and sniffing and in the tww.
prayers for you all. chat later just not up to it now
xxoo to all
-
JBM, I am so truly sorry
Have you spoken to your FS about a next step? Please know that we are all here for you.
AFM the clinic nurse rang and my bloods are in.
My E2 is 1980, Progesterone is 3.1, LH is 2.5
How does it sound?? Last time my levels were 1559...so this is bit of a jump!!The nurse said that the levels indicate good size growing follies and will be starting the Orgultran tonight and continue with 125 dosage of Peregon.
Next Bloods and US is Friday....this seems to be going sooo fast....
Hope you are all having a nice afernoon...bring on 5pm.....
-
JBM- I really feel for you, I think anyone who has had a BFN knows how you feel and our hearts go out to you. That horrible empty flat feeling. It gets easier as time moves forward, but it is just plain hard. I think for me, once I have a plan for the future I start to feel a bit better. Hang in there.
Do you have any other frosties left?
I have just been doing errands on my lunch break and whenever I see lots of really young mums, who look like they certainly didnt plan to have a baby, I get cross and upset and judgemental, I know I shouldn't, I do though.
-
Nicole S - which clinic are you at in Sydney? I went in for BT today and it hurt like a ********. First time it's really really hurt. Bizaare.
-
Hey Nic, I'm at IVF Australia @ Westmead....I guess they are either really good or they suck at it
BTW BIG :happyforyou: on your BFP!!!
-
Hi All,
Just a quick one cause I feeling terrible.
Last embie didn't survive the thaw.
Am feeling terrible.
Will chat when I can.
Hugs to all
Bel
xx
-
Bel  I'm so sorry.
Janie xxx
-
Oh Bel, I truly am so very sorry :(
Take care of yourself and know that we are all here for you :grouphug:
-
Bel im sorry to hear your news, chin up chicky!!!
-
Bel, I am so so sorry  thinking of you xx There is nothing any of us can say right now which will make this easier, but perhaps it helps to know we are here and we care and do understand. Look after yourself and be gentle with yourself.
-
Bel - sweetie...take care, we're here if u need someone to chat to
JBM - hope u feel better
Possum - those u actually didnt even plan to have 1, conceive so easily. Its so unfair.
Nicole - im not good with numbers, leave it up to FS to tell me if its good or bad.
kahlan - stress may cause the imbalance hormone. my normal LH is on a high side, thats e reason i dont O punctually
-
Bel, so sorry.. take care.
Nicole, great to read your next cycle is underway. Things really steam roll once you get to start injections. What is Orgultran?
JBM, sorry to read AF has reared her ugly head. Take care of yourself. It's such a build up to the whole cycle, try to stay strong. Take the time you need to recover.
Possums, hoping your frostie thaws ok. Must be an anxious time. Think positive thoughts and keep everything crossed!
Kahlan, some months our bodies just keep us guessing - so frustrating.
To those playing the waiting game or injecting or sniffing (or wherever you're up to in your cycle!) hope you are all doing ok.
I'll check in tomorrow and let you know how the u/s goes...
-
Bel,
I read this somewhere the other day and it made me think of all the heartbreak of LTTTC. Please take care of yourself.
when the storm rages
around me,
and I can hold on no more,
when the waves of tears engulf me
and I am weary,
battered and sore,
take me then and steer me
storm-tossed, broken and afraid,
into the arms of your safe harbour
safely home.
big hugs.
X
Nic

Morning all :p
Gee I wish it was Friday!!! Well lets just hope the day flys.....
Woke up this morning and am feeling really tired and heavy...must be the follies growing. Passed lots of Cm (sorry TMI) yestersday which must be due to my E2 levels.
Other than that can't wait to see how many follies are counted tomorrow..
Kaydee, Orgalutran prevents a premature LH surge during IVF treatment. As I am doing a short cycle/Antagonist.
The everyone else hope you all have a great day
-
Hi all,
Well I am out even though I haven't begun this cycle. Had BT yesterday and I still have not O (its day 21 now). My FS said they will have to cancel the cycle and now I need to consider HRT. I told them in the last 3 FET cycles, I had O around day 14... I've got one shot at a natural cycle, hopefully in Oct or else HRT which I am not keen on....
Thanks so much for all your support...yes, I agree about my stress level. I am convince that my stress level has caused this...
-
firstly i would like to say a BIG thankyou to everyone for all your support:kiss: i have rally appreciated the kind words.
luckystrike: hope epu went well
Brooke: welcome , hope all goes well with sniffing
bridechucky: count down to fs app getting closer

we've got 4 frosties left.
afm: well i am feeling a little better today, bit empty but moving forward. don't know where to yet but will chat to clinic soon.
thanks again eveyone for all your support, i really have appreciated it.
-
JBM- glad you are doing OK...having a plan helps I think
Kahlan...arrrggghh how frustrating for you! there are just so many factors and then our bodies dont always cooperate. try and stay positive for future attempts
Nicole..hope those follies are growing big ready with lots of eggs
Nixon..nice poem..and how are you feeling now?
marsha- thanks for understanding
kaydee- thanks for the well wishes...
as for me...we have to drive 3 hours for the transfer, and wont know until we are on the way there whether our frostie has thawed ok..so it is a bit stressful (apparantly they dont thaw until the morning)
to anyone I have missed...hi and hope things are progressing well in your cycle, or waiting game xx
-
Hi ladies......
Kahlan, I'm so sorry to hear that your cycle has been cancelled
Can I just ask what is HRT?
Possum, one more sleep for you. :pray:ing for your little embie transfer tomorrow. I'm sure it will feel like the longest 3 hour drive ever......
JBM, glad to hear you are feeling a little better take it easy and make sure you take care of yourself
Other than that jabbing is going well thanks to DH as I can't even think about jabbing myself. How about you ladies...who has the grand honour??
-
nicole... DH does the jabbing....I don't think I'd be very good giving myself the needles...
I believe HRT is Hormone Replacement Therapy....
Have just found out our transfer is scheduled for 1pm...with a bit of luck they will defrost by about 9am (which is when we'll probably set off) so hopefully that means we won't have driven a long way if it all goes wrong with the thaw...
here's hoping.
all the best to the rest of you :)
-
Hi Girls
Possums: Good luck tomorrow, hopefully the thaw goes well and you get a good looking emby transferred.
Nicole: I did my needles myself, after the first couple didn't even notice them. DH is such a big girl, couldn't even cope with watching me do the injection let alone get him to do them for me. Good luck tomorrow with some good numbers.
Kahlan: I am in the process of a HRT cycle for my FET early October. It is not too bad just long (no needles though), you have to go on the pill for one cycle so they can predict the timing (which I am at day 13 at the moment), I then start sniffing Syneral twice a day from Sunday and when I get my pill period we start progynova a week later to get hopefully a good lining and then transfer 10-12 days later. So basically from day 1 of AF (to start the pill) til possible transfer day it is about 6-7 weeks. So as I said it is long, but at least you can plan your cycle if you are struggling with a natural one. Unfortunately, I can only do HRT as I don't ovulate naturally. So for each FET we do, I have to follow the same process.......
-
HI girls,
Just thought I would pop in and say hi to all of you.
Kahlan - my BFP came from an HRT FET. I didn't have to do the pill and syneral like Kelly, they just started me straight on Progynova. Had to have the level of that adjusted a couple of times as I wasn't reacting to it very well at first, so it took about 21 days to get me to transfer and I ended up on 4 tablets a day. The medication had very little side effects on me and the whole process was so easy in comparison to a stim cycle. The only bummer is you have to stay on Progynova and Progesterone Pessaries (which are hugely expensive) until you are 10 weeks pregnant and the baby's placenta takes over. But - its all a small price to pay.
Janet and Marsha
Congrats Nic!:dance: wonderful to see you got your BFP.
Hi Possums, Kelly, Nicole, Kaydee, Bel and anyone else I have missed.
I'm sending you all so many :stickyvibesgirl: and :pink-babydust:
Janie xxx
-
Bel, JBM so sorry to hear your news, we girls put ourselves through so much but we are tougher than we look.. take care and get lots of hugs from everyone around you
Kahlan, maybe you could talk to FS about other ddrugs like Clomid, thats what my fs is starting me on for this cycle to get the lining and follies to grow better. think he gave up on my follies last time!
Kelly, I'm with you on teh needles, DH would just about faint if he had to even look at them! You do kind of get used to doing it, would hate to be diabetic tho and do that the rest of your life...
Possums, your little one makes it though good and healthy
hi to everyone else, hope your days been a goodie. A.
-
Hi everyone, hope you're having a good night.
Kelly, GL for your cycle this month. :pink-babydust::bluedust:
:goodluck2: Possums for tomorrow.
AFM, U/S today showing 13 follicles ranging from 12 to 20. Lining was at 9.4. Not sure what the lining was supposed to be at to be good but I came away with a goodies bag of a trigger injection for Sat night and boxes of Crinone gel (sounds like delightful stuff!) EPU is booked in for Monday morning. Back on Saturday for another BT and U/S to check my body doesn't do anything crazy between now and then...
Take care. The weekend is coming - I can almost smell it!!!
-
Hi Every1
Bel: So sorry hun big
JBM: U 2  good to hear you're feeling a little better.
Possums: I know what u mean! all I seem to see is women with prams & all my friends making play dates! Drives me nuts! Good luck with the thawing! it all goes well!
Kahlan: sorry to hear about the O  next month is better
To all the :2ww:ers - Hope you're keeping sane with the waiting! :crossfingers:
AFM: I'm learning big lessons from all of you (thank you!) & have begun charting EVERYTHING that is happening with my cycle in prep as it's been all over the shop the last few months, anything from 28 - 45 day cycles???
Started Boot Camp this week as part of my current get-fit path. Was running around on the beach in the freezig cold wind & pouring rain at 6am this morning like a complete nutter! What a sight it must have been
Tomorrow's Friday girls YEEHAH! Hope you all have a restful weekend.
-
Evening All,
Firstly a great big thank you to each and every one of you wonderful ladies for all your support and friendship. You have been and are always amazing to me. I'd struggle without you.
Kahlan- So sorry your cycle was cancelled. I know too well how hard the disappointment is. I always have to do HRT when doing a FET. I don't find it too bad. At least I know the drugs are getting my body just right for the little ones to go in! I can't do a cycle without the drugs unfortunately. The good thing is you still have your embies waiting for you next cycle. Stay strong.
JBM- We are troopers aren't we! I'm so happy to see that you are starting to move forward again and that you will be making plans for your next cycle soon. I find it the very best thing for me to do after a setback...plan plan plan! I hope you too are being good to yourself. Am thinking of you.
Possums- my friend. All the very very best for the morning. I'm happy with the timing for you. I hope your little ones gets nice and comfy tomorrow and settles down for a 9 month stay. I have everything crossed for you. Thankyou for your kindness
Kaydee- Great results so far. Your lining sounds perfect. Hope those little follies continue to grow over the next couple of days. Drink lots of water.
Bride of Chucky- You must be getting so excited now. Well done on the boot camp. I need to do something like that but am just too lazy!!
All my other friends, sending you all a hug and thinking of you all.
AFM...am moving forward too. Had a good converstaion with my FS today. Am waiting for the witch to show up, then a month on the pill for me. Then am going to do my first antagonist cycle. Apparently this is a lot less needles, and is much quicker, so am happy about that. Just didn't want to have to do another EPU. Have told my manager at work I'm going to need a month off for this next cycle as I can't work and cycle at all, and she is going to help me do that. So that's one less stress for me. I just pray so much that we will get our BFP soon. This is all really starting to take its toll on me and my life.
Night all
Hugs Bel
-
Possums- No word from you...I'm assuming you are on your way to have your little one transferred. Looking forward to hearing your good news later today.
AFM- AF has arrived. AAAHHHH!! The love/hate relationship I have with her. I hate her cause it means I'm not pregnant, but I want her to come so I can start again!!
I'm starting to get on top of it all again
Hope everyone has a good day.
Hugs Bel
-

:hello:Hello everyone,
I hope you don't mind me posting as I am a newbie.
Hubby and I have been trying to conceive for over 2 years, had countless tests and all seems okay. I am one of those "unexplained" cases.
I am in my :2ww: after my 2nd IUI and feeling nervous about the result.
I thought it might be calming to talk to others who share this journey as none of my friends nor family have been through this.
I also don't know if I want to go ahead with a 3rd IUI cycle......:dunno: I am sceptical as Endo has not been eliminated and I have been told that IUI is kinda pointless if I do have Endo.
Any advice or stories anyone could share with me would be so VERY much appreciated:hug:
-
Hello lovely ladies...firstly, thanks so much for all your support and well wishes.
The good news is, our Frostie thawed OK and we had a lovely 5 day blastocyst transferred at lunchtime today. It was a big day for us, with a total of 6 hours driving, but hopefully this is the start now of our little one growing. Fingers crossed! As soon as I arrived back I went for a session with the acupuncturist, so feeling nice and relaxed. And now DH is cooking me some dinner. :D I so hope this is our turn for a BFP. Now the waiting begins.....
Bel, glad you have sorted things with work and have a plan for the future, and at least a little less stress. It will hopefully help you move forward to a better place. Hugs to you and thanks for all the nice support.
JBM, same goes for you...I'm thinking of you... it's hard to regroup but I found planning the best step helped me after our last cycle.
shelbee..hi and welcome. you'll find lotsof support here
Nicole- glad things are porgressing well for you...getting closer now
Neptune..happy sniffing! hope AF arrives soon
Kaydee- pleased to hear you are having good progress

I hope your TWW is easy breezy and with fantastic news at the end.
Hugs Bel

Hi Everyone
Lots has happened this week I feel drained and emotional!
Possums congratulations on the transfer and hope you end up with a BFP this time!
Shelbee welcome! I did IUI for 2 cycles, and then decided to move in to IVF. I dont have endo, but just wanted to move onto the next step. I was getting frustrated with IUI and only decided to give it a go b/c the FS said I should. Good luck I hope it all works out for you, I know a few people who have success with it.
JBM I think its great that you are spending the next week looking after yourself. I dont know about you but since I have started all this treatment I seem to be slowly but gradually gaining weight and plan to do the same if this cycle doesnt work out for me.
NicoleS that's great news, looks like you, Kaydee and myself will be very close this cycle as my EPU has been confirmed for Tuesday. 9 follicles is great, congrats!
Bell sorry things didnt work out for you this cycle, but its great that you have your plan to move forward now. Keep positive and I'm sure the BFP cant be too far away.
BrideofChucky Boot camp sounds great, a friend of mine lost lots of weight doing that, good on you for being healthy!
Kaydee Congratulations on the 13 follicles, and wishing the best of luck for Monday, Next week will be interesting with a few of us having our EPU's.
To everyone else good hope you are all doing well and plan to enjoy yourselves this weekend!
AFM what can I say, I have had a crazy week. Went to the FS last Friday, there we 4 follicles, so he increased my gonal-f to 450 for 5 days. So I went back on Wednesday and GUESS WHAT, still only 4 follicles! Talk about being devasted! Anyway upped my dose to 600 and had another visit today. As expected still only 4 follicles. FS says for some reason the ones on my Right ovaries are not doing anything and I have 4 on my left that are ready. So still on 600 (which btw is making me emotional, and making me cry which I hate to do!)until EPU. We are going ahead with the EPU on Tuesday, the nurses called me earlier to confirm. I am excited now, still dissapointed with only 4 follicles, but I am just hoping they are good ones and all fertalise and give me my BFP!
Sorry for the long post but I haven't written all week!
-
Yay Possums! :cheer: Hope all goes well for you and you get that great :bfp:. Glad I could make you smile. If it makes you feel even better I'm doing it all again 2moro at dawn - yep even on a Saturday! (groan)
:welcome: Shelbee! These guys rock and you can learn so much from them!
LuckyStrike: Am  those follies do as they're told! Good luck for Tues!
JBM: Good to see you're getting better day by day! Retail therapy is my favourite kind, especially those of the footwear persuasion (my other nickname is Imelda)
Bel: :goodluck2: with your next cycle hun! AF is also good as she gives you an excuse to eat lots, be moody and behave badly without question :p
Sorry guys I'm in a completely crazy and twisted mood tonight!
Hope everyone else is doing well, whatever stage you're at!
AFM I'm good. Glad it's Friday. Glad I don't have to see my boss for two days. Just biding my time & counting sleeps. Speaking of which, me & the furry-kid are off to bed!
Enjoy the weekend peoples!
-
Possums congratulations, so glad to hear the transfer went well.
Sorry guys so time to post this morning as I am going house shopping with my parents.
Will check in latter and see how you are all going.
Have a great day
-
Hi everyone,
I have been trying to conceive since 2002, and doing ivf since '07. We are about to try our fifth ifv/isci cycle now (start the pill on Tuesday).
I usually post on the older women trying to conceive thread :)
-
Hi Ladies, don't you just wish it was Friday afternoon again and we can have the weekend all over again
futuremum, :welcome: to the thread...hope this is your lucky last IVF cycle.
LuckyStrike, Good luck for you EPU on Tuesday...looks like's it's Kaydee, You then Me....grow little follies grow
Smithy, any news of AF yet?
shelbee, :welcome: I guess I too am on the "unexplained" cases list as well. We also did x2 IUI and moved to IVF. I have no symptoms of Endo but it is always at the back of my mind.
The only advise I can give is maybe you should speak to another FS.
Good luck and know that we are all here for you.
Kaydee, ALL THE BEST for tomorrow..I'll be thinking of you and hope that you get lots of eggies.
Well I'm off to do some shopping....have a great evening ladies and all the best to who I have missed
-
Thank you all so much for making me feel so :welcome: I feel better already. I am so glad I took the leap and posted (this is something I have never done before)
Possums and Bride of Chucky, :goodluck2: to you both. Can't wait to hear the news about your :bfp:!!!
Nicole S, Isn't being "unexplained" frustrating? I may just take your advice and get a 2nd opinion. Hope you had some great retail therapy!
Futuremum, I hope this time is the charm:crossfingers:
Luckystrike, it is understandable that you are darined and emotional. Sometimes a good :crying:is a good release! I too am emotional on my meds and cry over the silliest things BUT going through fertility treatment gives us permission to cry at the drop of a hat!! I am sure your 4 follies will do you proud this week:goodluck2:
Thank you once again for your kind welcome and support ladies.
My :2ww: is up next Monday (15th) and I will have the dreaeded blood test:pray:
Last night I had a dream that I was in labour and it was so vivid that I could actually feel the pain. I hope this is a good sign!!
Take care everyone XXX
