Just a reminder to all: all LTers love seeing a fellow LTer achieve that longed-for BFP, and we all find hope in one of our own having success in this difficult journey. But please remember that there are those who cycled with you who may not have received good news at the end of their cycle. Please do not post baby/child/pg tickers or pg related signatures (eg blinking BFP icons) etc in this forum out of respect for them.

Dusty- Congrats on the moderating job! Great to have you looking after us!!

Smithy- Welcome back my friend. I have been thinking of you and wondering how you are going. I hope your little frostie is well behaved and gives you that much longed for and deserved BFP.

All my other friends, I'm thinking of you too.

AFM, things are getting really busy at home. My SIL is getting married in 2 weeks and there is lots to organise and do at the moment.

I had another appointment with my FS yesterday, and after my op and the removal of my endo, I'm so excited to report that my body is behaving and responding better than ever before to the progynova..and on a much lower dose. Am all booked in for TF on Wed of hopefully 2 embies. I feel really at peace with everything that has happened so far this cycle and with my new FS's plans for us. I just pray that it's mine time now.

Hope you all have a restful weekend and stay warm

    Hugs all
    Bel

Mind if I join this thread? I am starting second cycle this month - just waiting for AF to start antagonist cycle. My first cycle was spectacularly short with me not even making it to EPU because of OHSS. Hoping antagonist cycle to do the trick, would be nice to get off first base this time. Now just have to wait for AF - very unpredictable, and even sometimes hard to tell when day 1 vs spotting as v light.
Bee - hope your wait for AP not too long
Bel - good luck for TF

Aleenta - welcome I hope your stay here is short and sweet.
Bel - Best of luck now that the endo is gone, lets hope that you get your BFP quickly
Bee - I hope AF turns up quickly for you.

Does anyone know how soon after the initial FS consult that any treatments could happen? How many tests etc will he do? I see him on CD11 next cycle...

    Have a great day ladies

p.s. It's been suggested to me by my boss that i might want to reduce my work hours due to ivf stress. I find this rattling. Work and IVf can be a tough act to juggle but I find this suggestion intrusive and unwanted.

    Hi Possums

If you can get some time off from work or reduce your hours you might find it helps.

With my IVF cycle I had 2 weeks off work at one days notice and luckily have a very sympathetic boss. It helped me to know that I was available for whatever days I needed to get BT's done and also was able to have my EPU & ET with having rest days and not thinking about needing to be back at work.

When my FET transfer comes around in September, I have been told that whatever days I need I can take them. Admittedly I don't get paid for the time I have off and with the cost of the treatment we can be a little bit short, but it was nice to be able to relax and put my feet up and not think about work for a while.

Don't take it as intrusive, I would rather have the option to reduce my hours or take time off than have to juggle both at the same time.

You need to do what you think is best for you and that little treasure you will be having transferred.

Good luck with your transfer, hopefully mine will have a good outcome as well.

    Hi everyone

Bel - good luck with your TF on Wed, have you any news yet how your embies have thawed? Are you doing Day 3 or blast? I haven't done any blast TF, not sure how this works with FETs or is blasts only for fresh cycles?

Bee - Hope AF arrives soon and you can go on to the next step

Aleenta - I know what you mean, it is so frustrating waiting when all you want to do is go on to the TF. My first cycle was cancelled due to OHSS and the 2nd only went to EPU, ET was cancelled due to fear of OHSS. So far I have only done FET, was lucky enough to have 15 embies frozen. Sounds strange but if this month's FET isn't the one, I am almost looking forward to a fresh IVF cycle with a fresh ET. Hope AF arrives soon.

Oscaroscar - I have pretty much been doing back to back cycles but intially started the very next month once I had made the decision. Re diet, I have been extra extra strict, more so this month than ever, it is about the only thing I haven't tried in 3 1/2 years TTC, and think that it can only help.

BecD - Good luck for your BT/scan tomorrow. What is your CD?

Possums - I agree with KellyD, I have a very supportive work environment, most people don't know what to say in this situation, and sometime for work colleagues providing this flexibility is the only way they can be supportive. If you need time, don't feel guilty for it.

I am counting down days, 4 days to ET, 17 days to BT, and if this month is unsuccessful I will keep my first appointment on the 23rd for a Mayan Uterine Massage. Has anyone heard/done this? Scratch that 'tried everything', this is one more thing to try.

    Hugs

    Hi oscaroscar,
I found it during my endless Googling on IF, and in a few of the US IF sites.
"Maya Abdominal is founded on the ancient Mayan technique of abdominal massage which is an external non invasive manipulation that repositions internal organs that have shifted, thereby restricting the flow of blood, lymph, nerve and chi." Aims to ensure all reproductive organs are in alignment. I will give anything a go. BOL to you too

Hi Kaydee...good luck with the first BT...that stage feels as though you are really getting somewhere. Water is most important after EPU, but water is always good!

JBM- hope you are hanging in there OK in the TWW. Fingers crossed for you!

Nixon- it's nerve wracking at the end of the TWW especially. Hopefully a BFP just around the corner for you!

wishingbaby- hope your follicles are growing well and you progress forward on track

luckystrike- sorry your body was not responding as you would hope...it's a tough thing, with so many ups and downs along the way, that those who have never been through it really don't/can't understand. It is emotional at all stages. I hope your follicles have responded to the extra dosage and you are feeling a bit better

Kate- good luck with your next cycle and very sorry about your work situation....i really understand! I have been finding work tough lately but of course, we need the money because of IVF!

Aleenta...good luck with the TWW! here's hoping....

Bel- hug...hope you are doing OK. Where are things with your cycle now?

to everyone else I have missed, hello and hope things are going smoothly whatever stage you are at!

as for me....for the past 6 days I have had blood tests, tracking to see when I naturally ovulate...hopefully tomorrow will be the final test (getting a bit tired of rushing to blood place for the the first thing in the morning jab) as my hormones are fairly elevated now and it seems like my LH surge is starting. Then, five days after that will be our FET...so at this stage a transfer friday seems likely. It's all come around quickly and feels different to a stimulated cycle, as there is so much less lead in time etc. It's exciting though....please thaw little one, and then please stick!

    Hey guys!

Hope you're enjoying the weekend. Sorry about my rant earlier in the week. Was very stressful. 2nd stepson ok so far but wants to "have a chat" tomorrow so a little apprehensive. But no matter what happens we are happy and that's all that matters! Thanks for all your well wishes though!

To those on the horrid got my fingers toes n everything for you!
Possums: :goodluck2: for your FET next week!
Kate: Sorry to hear about your work. I've worked for people like that too... it sucks. Hope they see the light soon. Perhaps drop the words "stress leave" nearby..maybe they might ease up on you
Kaydee: You can never go wrong with water. :goodluck2: witht he BT!
Smithy: THANK YOU! You hit the nail on the head. It's good to know someone else knows exactly how I'm feeling.

Sorry if i missed anyone... still getting the hang of this!

    sending to everybody!

BrideofChucky - good luck with your step sons, last thing you want when you are going through IVF is added stress.

Possums - keeping my fingers crossed your you for a FET on Friday!. You never know, I might not be too far away if things start to get back on track!

Kaydee - I have to say I have been wondering about the water myself. I mentioned it to the nurses and she said it cant hurt to drink extra water, but its usually when you have OHSS that they get you to do it. Anyway I have been drinking about 3 lts, it makes me feel like I am doing something
Good luck with your BT next week, hope all is tracking perfectly.

JBM - The TWW is a drag. Wont be long now, and hopefully it will be a happy result in the end.

Nixon - thanks for the kind words. I am starting to feel better and am keeping positive for wednesday now.
Good luck with your BT today, keeping my finger crossed for a BFP!

AFM nothing much going, still taking syneral and gonal-f and just waiting for wednesday now.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

    Morning Gals,

Possums, Kaydee, Lucky, Oscar: Thanks for the good luck wishes.

Kaydee, I was really worried about OHSS as well. Talk to your nurse or FS about it. Ask them about the common situations of who it can happen to or when it can happen. You seem to get heaps of info warning you about it as a side effect and yet no explanations of who are the types of women who are the high risk people or at which point in the cycle it can occur. Don't leave it - you have enough on your plate to worry about just doing IVF let alone something for which you may be a low risk. :-)

AFM: Woke up with miserable cramping this morning. I've been cramping on and off for the last week. I don't know what to think any more. I've talked myself into every single possible outcome and then talked myself out of each one just as quickly.

Was wide awake at 6 - into the clinic by 7 - bloods are done and now I wait......again :-).

The nurse thought the results would be back a bit sooner than if I'd had them done during the week. Sunday must be a slow day. The phone is glued to my hand and the volume is up as high as it will go.

So, I'll let you know later what the outcome is. It is possible that I will need to have the test done again tomorrow because I did change to a day earlier than they scheduled me for.

    Anyway - here's hoping
    X

Kahlan, sorry for the bad month you are having...sometimes things just dont come together how we want! hope it improves

Bel, hang in there, I know you are having a rough patch. Here's hoping the FET goes ahead OK

Kaydee - hope things are on track with the BT and ultrasounds

Hey Nicole...I am really open about the IVF stuff too...even though sometimes it means I have to deal with insensitive or dumb comments....
brideofchucky...i think it's a good thing to let some people know so you have the support it you need it. nothing to hide

brooke- welcome! hopefully you'll have success quickly

luckystrike...hope all's on track after your ultrasound

JBM- so sorry...my thoughts are with you ....

as for me...just waiting for Friday and the FET and anxious about whether our frostie will thaw OK
