Well results aren't so flash. Ended up with 7, they weren't sure if one was an egg yesterday. 4 were immature but did fertilize, 3 of which now seem to be a bit of a scientific experiment as they have never seen embies look like these after fertilization so they are not in the running but they are going to see what they do. The other one had to much DNA so it seems a couple of sperm found their way into that one.
2 others have fertilized but aren't dividing properly so they are not looking good and are fragmented.

So that leaves us with the single fertilized good one that is being transferred back tomorrow at lunch time so I will be PUPO tomorrow.

Thanks for all your good wishes, hope this one is all that is needed and it works. It's getting harder each time as it seems to be worse results each time :-((

kerbear, I'm sorry to hear the fertilisation results are disappointing. It's always hard when each step doesn't go perfectly, it feels like there's no chance the most important one can go well. Last time we only had 2 embryos by day 2 and neither were good quality. Our FS was openly disappointed about the quality, which left me feeling utterly defeated because he's normally Mr Confidence. In spite of that, one of those 2 embies just had her 18 month vaccination today, so you don't need a perfect embryo, you just need the right one and science can't always spot the right one! FX for you. There is still plenty of hope for this cycle.

Andie, I hope you're recovering well. How long will you have to wait for the results?

Afm, I saw the GP today, who confirmed I'm vitamin D deficient, so I'll start on a supplement for that. Our FS was dismissive of the impact that may have on AMH levels, but I've read papers saying it can lower them. It gives me a little hope that maybe my egg situation is not quite so bleak. On the other hand, I'm CD23 and still no sign of O, so that's driving me batty since regular O was the one thing I've always been able to rely upon. I've also got some inflammation going on somewhere according to the b/w, which she wants to retest in 3 months, but everything else looked good (a relief because I was a little worried about my cholesterol since our diet is pretty bad).

thanks, ladies. will post biopsy results when they come in. cant remember if FS said it will be 1 or 2 weeks, was still a bit dopey when she told me after procedure yesterday...!

kerbear - i can imagine those fert. results must have been a bit of a disappointment for you. i reckon it sounds like your body just decided to go for quality rather than quantity & focused all its attentions on that one perfect embryo you have got going on... goodluck for tomorrow.

    Thanks missb me to.

Vic-my turn is my inspiration that this little one can work

N2l thanks for your cheers, it made me smile, where are you up to in everything, you should O soon shouldn't you?

Juniper - I hope that the supplements for vit d do help your eggs, and that your retest for your inflammation comes back ok when you have it done in a few months. Thanks for sharing about your success, it helps me still have some hope.

Andie- yeah definitely a disappointment, being on the DHEA and losing all the weight, I was hoping it might have helped. Hopefully that weight loss helped it snuggle into my healthier body and want to stick around.

I am hoping this one is the special one for us.

How long have you been on the DHEA Ker? My FS says you need to have four months under your belt for it to make a difference.

Do you mind me asking what unusual things were your embies doing that they hadnt seen before??

N2l I was on DHEA for the 4 months while I was doing my weight loss, my fs is the same as yours she said it needs the 4 mths but recommendations are to not be on them for more than 6 mths. But in saying that my fshad looked into her research when we were going to have to wait till nov to do a cycle and she was going to continue me, not sure though if that was till nov or not.
I am not sure the nitty gritty of what the eggs were doing I am hoping to find out more tomorrow about our mysterious ones :-). Will
Let you know what they say.
I had a lot of hope for the DHEA but after the last 2 hauls I am starting to think I am at the crud of my eggs unfortunately, especially with my amh level so low.
