Mrs Mac, sorry to hear that. I hope tomorrow's test is the winner! It's good that they can test you on a Sunday. I don't think my clinic does.
Miss.B, waiting is hard and being sick is miserable, so I know that situation would be getting me down too. You'll get to the end of this month and it will feel like it flew by!

Vic261 - Hang in there.....I had a tube removed due to ectopic pregnancy when i was 39, tried to conceive naturally for a year, then moved on to IVF ICSI when i was 41. At 41 and a half (4x back to back fresh cycles) i goy my BFP, don't let anything discourage you. When you feel that there is no hope left, remember that you can still get pregnant in your 40's...I did and I'm sure I'm not the only example...you will be someone's example one day soon too.
Freya - Congrats, and have a happy and healthy 9 mths!!:dance:

AFM - I had 1x A grade Blastocyst and 1x B grade Blastocyst put back this morning.....POAS'd to make sure trigger has left my system...and yes it has!!! Anyone who knows me knows I'm a serial POASer..LOL guess I'll move to thw tww thread...
Haha Emerald Star, you can join me, Emma and n2l, we are as bad as it gets with POASing, lol. Did I miss anyone else that falls into that category?? ;)

Hey MrsMac, I hope tomorrow goes well. I use to dread having blood taken but am starting to get used to it! Anyways fingers crossed this ones the last BT for a few weeks.
AFM nothing exciting to report. Just jabbing away.... I had BT & US on Saturday bright and early at 7am! They said everything looks good & will have another one tomorrow.

Vic - Glad things are finally moving along for you, nothing worse than waiting for AF
Andie - only one more day till EPU, I hope you get a good haul and have a quick recovery.

AFM had another US and BT today and finally got to trigger tonight, man did it hurt. Not sure if i’m doing something wrong but the Pregnyl injection F#%king kills. So ET will be Friday or Saturday, I have to wait until tomorrow to get the transfer date but cant wait.
Hi girls need advice.. Been a emotional wreck for days feels like reality of never having a baby is getting closer?
My story my dh is infertile and we use donor sperm after a long time we have accepted this as our reality. As it turns out I too have quite a few issues and very low amh. Me being the fighter that I am have refused to accept that I cant conceive a baby and have seen many specialists, get accipuncture, herbs, etc.
I have found many diff issues along the way and resolved them am now seeing a great FS and naturopath and accept that everything I am doing now is the right thing and have stopped searching for answers!
Ok so we have 2 attempts left with the sperm, as the govt have now bought in some stupid rule that all donors have to be counseled with australian counsellor as well as everything else they go thru! We import ours and to be honest it took a long time to feel comfortable doing this and finding the right one! This guy hasn't been counseled so we can't use him again so we would be on the hunt for another match which is not the easy!
I am turning 40 next year and after years of trying i just don't know how much longer to try, my dh is happy either way but hates seeing what the whole process does to me. We have 2 fur babies that we love and he is complete Im just not sure If that's enough for me.
Anyway went for my scan this morning and only have 3 follicles in there was so upset as I normally retrieve about 5-6 and my fertilization is ok end up normally having 2 to put back ok quality nothing to freeze i obviously have a egg issue.
I'm just nervous knowing we have said 2 more goes that I dont have enough eggs but we are going for quality not quantity once I get my miracle I'm hanging my boots up.
What would u girls do I did a diff type of cycle I could cancel and start again or pray that one of these is the golden egg??
So hard as my FS keeps telling me to get a egg donor but that would mean using donor egg and sperm and it's taking a lr for me to get my head around this?
Aargh sorry for my rant I'm probably feeling a bit desperate as I want so much to conceive and be a mum!
I just wanted to give myself the best chances in these last 2 cycles but as my FS said my eggs are getting a bit depleted!
Any thoughts I'd love to hear them as cant really talk to my girlfriends they just don't understand.
Blossom, I don't have a lot of advice, as I haven't been in that same situation. One thought immediately occurs to me though - is it an option to freeze the eggs you get this cycle and then do another cycle (hopefully with more eggs) and try to fertilise them all at the same time? That would presumably use one lot of sperm but give you more eggs to work with? With regard to the donor egg issue, it's hard. I know we may face that situation one day and it scares me. I watched a friend go through the process of grieving the loss of her own genetic child and eventually getting a son with donor embryos. I know it was a hard process for her. At the time she had some great posts on her blog, but she has unfortunately taken that blog down.

Thanks for replying Juniper I'm not sure that my eggs are good enough to survive the process and I think it stick costs u for retrieval.
It's niceto hear stories of others just can't get my head around the babie not having my genes or dh I'm sure it wouldn't matter in the end it's just getting to that point!
Gosh blossom, it must be such a tough thing to go through with any aspect of donating/donations! I have to admit the thought have crossed my mind a few times when I got it in my head that my eggs aren't any good now. Luckily they can take out good enough swimmers from DF, but I suspect my eggs are also on the way out :( I understand that the clinics don't like to feeze just eggs as they have less potential of becoming embryos once they get thawed out and fertilised. They much prefer to feeze embryos. I think if you think you're on the best possible path to try and improve/add to your own eggs, stick with it. I know I have mentioned to the ladies here before, but my FS believes the new slow release drug elnova looks really promissing in terms of the woman producing better eggs and ending up with better quality embryos. It could be worth a shot? I am also taking the CoQ10 which hopefully will improve my eggs somewhat. I think looking into egg and sperm donors is a pretty big thing, you might as well look into embryo donations then. For some it's an easier decision to make, especially if the couple has been told they have no chance or very little chance of having their own biological babies. Personally, I would find it too hard, but that's just me. But then maybe if I didn't have my DS I would think differently?. I am reading a fabulous book right now called Making Babies, and the stories in there are very inspiring. GL with your decision hun, go with your gut hun. FS don't always get it right too when they advise us.
Blossom - My DH and I have been talking about donor eggs too. I am 41 and it seems that although I have eggs they are do get to day 5 they appear not to progress. I have had 5 failed attempts. 4 BFN and 1 missed m/c. Its definately something to get your head around. My DH is worried if we go down that path how it will affect me. I said not having a child will affect me more. My issue is with my clinic we have to bring our own donor so it would have to be someone we know. My sister would be the obvious choice and she has agreed, but DH is worried that she is a bit flaky and wouldn't go through with it when she saw how much was involved. We have thrown out random names to each other, but everyone else seems to be wrong. I dont want everyman and his dog to know as its bad enough a lot of people now know we are doing IVF. Not that I am ashamed, but its the endless "so, whats happening now" I dont want to explain where we are at. For me its better to use an egg donor than go through foster to adopt. Everyone is different though. We are just praying that we get pg with our own eggs and sperm and dont have to think about it.

AFM - I had my pipelle biopsy at lunch time and it was more painful that last time. She said my cervix was closed or lower or something and had to use forceps to move it out of the way. She said last time it went straight through and it must be because its only CD5. Last time I was stimming too, so maybe that made a difference? Not too sure on what cervix's do during the month. I am worried that I had it done on CD5 and last time it was CD7 and now I have to wait to ovulate. What if its weeks away, will it have been in vain??? I am just going to put it out to the universe that I need to ovulate on CD 14 and see how we go :) Its nice not to be on any medication (apart from my endless vitamins).
Vic, sorry to hear the biopsy hurt today. If you're interested in what the cervix does during the cycle, there's a website called My Beautiful Cervix. It has photos and explanations (from memory, been a while since I visited it and I'm not opening it at work, which is where I am as I send this post ;)).

Thanks Vic but no EPU for me, just a heavily medicated frozen transfer. Second last frostie and hoping this ones the winner. Sorry to hear it was so painful for you this time, try not to stress to much about ovulating and have faith you body can do it, FX positive thinking will help both of us.

My question is...have you always used the same clinic and FS? Or have you tried somewhere else?
