Vic that is a bit strange I would agree with me4ever stick with what you know and if ur happy with the nurses don't change it. I'm not sure why he wouldn't want to increase ur numbers by doing icsi? It is difficult because I think it comes down to the FS opinion.

AFM - AF is finally in da house. Woop woop !!! Sad really. I was ever so happy at 4.30am this morning. So here we are back on the TTC train. DH and I talked last night and decided to stick with our current clinic. Basically its a numbers game for us and we need to be able to afford to have as many cycles as we can, so cheaper is better for us. My FS said basically that we are getting good numbers, good fertilisation rates, its just the chromosones issues of 41 year old eggs and we cant see that either clinic will be able to help with that. It would still be the same FS so its not like a new one would be trying different things. As for ICSI JBear we have great fertilisation rates almost 100% and he says nature knows what its doing then better than an embrologist picking a sperm just by looking at it. DH has great sperm so thats not our issue. We are all praying like crazy that one (or both) of our frosties becomes earthside.
Yay for Vic's AF!!! Fingers crossed for the coming FET!!

Vic, I think you should at least do the elonva cycle. You have nothing to lose! My FS says he's seen great improvements in the egg quality/embryo quality on this drug. Why does your FS say that you have a chromosomal issue? Is he basing this statement on your last m/c? If so, that should not be the case. Plenty of women have m/c with a chromosomal issue, young and old! Unless one has a recurrent m/c where there has been testing on the products, or one has testing done on the embies before they go in and there is a chromosomal issue, an isolated m/c is not a reason to conclude there is a chromosomal problem. Like I said, you have nothing to lose with the new drug, but lots to gain from the studies and runs they have done with it. GL in your next cycle hun :)

AFM, still sick here :( And the little one being sick as well doesn't help, as I feel like I need to curl into a ball and ride it out in bed, but I have someone else to look after...poo bum. I think I am whingeing lots more than DS, my DF says I'm worse than a child :rolleyes:. This winter has been the worst for me so far, I've been sick more than I've been well :o

MissB - I dont think he will let me try the Elonva :( His thought is that since there is nothing they can find wrong with me and being 41 it must be chromosomal. :dunno: He says its just a numbers game and hopefully we hit the jackpot with a perfect embryo. His thought is always that if the embryo is not 100% it wont be viable. Since I have eggs, DH has great sperm, my uterus looks good and clean, it must be whats in the egg. I am just hoping that with another pipelle biopsy, no caffeinne and watching my hormone leves (through diet & exercise) my FET will work and another stim wont be an issue. :pray:
Vic - Regarding the "chromosomal issue" I assume he is referring to age issues. At 45, about 80 per cent of our eggs are chromosomally abnormal. Not sure what it is at 41 or so but i am guessing it's 50 per cent or so. Sucks.
Vic, are you saying he thinks anything less than top grade is pointless? If that were true we wouldn't have DD. They don't need to be perfect, they just need to be chromosomally normal. It's hard to be just waiting for the right egg (and scares the blazes out of me that we'll never get the right one). It's kind of like sitting at a pokie machine for months/years on end waiting for that jackpot... (hopefully with better odds though)
Miss.B, I'm guessing I've O'd, but that it's a weak one. I'm just not getting that nice clear thermal shift to indicate good progesterone levels.

Thanks all for the knd thoughts. It has been an up and down week. Last night DH got drunk and said no to IVF this cycle. Turns out he was worried about me trying to squeeze too much in and didn't want me stressing. Honestly I would stress more if I felt I wasn't doing anything proactive. All good now, just counting down the days.
Congrats freya in your graduation from here, enjoy the rest of the pregnancy.
There is so much going on in here and I am on my phone so won't do persies, just know I am reading everything and thinking of you all and where you are at.
Missb I hope you start to feel better really soon, I am sorry to hear winter has got the better or you with all your sickness...damn bugs!!!

Spoke to FS today and will call hhim back be next week to arrange D&C but just thought it would be good to he back on the list appropriately :(
Will probably try au natural for a few months and try to lose some weight. Again. Bleugh.
