21ttc: than you so much for sharing something so personal. i never knew std'd could cause infertility issues, so i learnt something today.
i think you must be a strong person and i know of some couples who have been in a simular situation as you and stayed with the partner. they are still married 12 years later and 3 kids too. :thumbsup:

afm: well 2 days since my baby was transferred. oh by the way i am not saying embryo . i am saying my baby.:pregnant:. i have to wait until dec 27th for bt but will be doing home preg test on sat the 20th of dec as this would be day 28.

i am talking to my baby and encouraging her to stick. we have been having a great time. keeping up those positive vibes and sending some to you all. :cheer:

I have some great news, went and had PESA on Thursday and they found swimmers :bluesperm: :pinksperm: will not know until Friday exactly how many but I will take what I can get.

Still waiting for AF this month, bugger, was due on the 11th.

AFM - I just got the call before to confirm my transfer tomorrow. I have to be there at 8am, and will be doing the pregnancy test on the 27th Dec. So I'm hoping that 2009 will be our year :pray: My SIL is due today and going to see her in hospital and her new baby today, I'm feeling teary already I hope I can keep it together. I am happy for them but you know how hard it is sometimes.

JEN- HEY! yeah im going for it i dont care about ppls remarks and doubts anymore, I want a little one and my loving partner does too, and to be honest i think im getting a "ring" for xmas! bout time too!

JBM- Hi there , yep they sure can cause infertility! it can cause scarring of the tubes and uterus, sort of like a form of endo due to a silent infection that causes no symptoms, lucky for me we caught it pretty early, mainly due to DP admitting to what he had done a few days later, we were on a "break" so to speak but I still big to differ, anyway that was 3 years ago now but i still use it as leverage sometimes!

Smithy- hey girl, your just as often on here as I am! I also checked out your picz! i hope u dont mind you look like such a happy family too! And I think its best to be open seriously we talk about our vagina discharge and such all the time on here what else could be more open! I really hope you get your wish , you really deserve it and It pains me to see all the troubles you have had, I feel like i shouldnt be complaining! And we arent the only ones trust me! 30 000 new cases a year in australia in females alone between 25 and 35! its a silent epidemic. have a nice weekend!

BJ- I have heard so much bad things about monash! what doctor did you see? was it Penny isherwood, ive heard she is a *7^%$#!, I emailed the clinic you go to and got a info pack from them aswell, I'm just so confused as where to go, I just asumed monash was the best as its the most talked about and world wide known. Im the one having the freak out just trying to find somewhere to stick with! advice would be great also pricing there at your clinic i heard is quite high.

AFM- Well Im on CD5 of the 9th cycle since my D and C, just under 2 years in total of trying naturally, I have my fertility monitor, 2nd month trying, didnt get a peak last time, also using OPK's which always seem to get darker but not dark enough!, on my vit B6 and vitex and timing intercourse, so plz plz plz work this month! oh and dont forget check CM!!! also last night me and DP did our "thing" sorry too much info! and he sort of was a bit rough at the end and thrusted a bit too hard and i had the worst pain shoot up my body, felt like a sword in there and since then i have been bleeding bright red blood, like very oxygentated blood and im afraid maybe he has damaged my cervix or ruptured a vein or something, help me! my period stopped yesterday and it looks too fresh to be from that.

I just got home my Transfer went really well I was surprisingly relaxed. I had 2 Blastocysts transferred and a possible 4 may be frozen waiting to see how they go by tomorrow.

I'm officially in the 2WW now but I will keep popping in to say hi to my friends. I'm thinking of you all. :grouphug:

I think its about time i started posting in here (i hope you dont mind)... DP and i have been TTC baby number 2 for almost 3 years with no luck... i had a LAP done on the 19th of November and got told both my tubes are blocked and my GYNO wanted me to have another lap done straight after chrissy... which with the wonderful help from alot of bb members i decided that it was a silly thing to do as it could do more harm then good so i got a referal to do a HSG in early Jan 09 and am having my first FS appt on the 12th of Jan (with the wonderful advice from Smithy :) )
So obviously it has been such a shock to us finding out we'll need to do IVF to have a baby (as it would to everyone) But with the help and support from many lovely ladies it has made it not as scary to travel down the IVF road

I really look forward to getting to know you all and share in all your high's and lows

I am just yuck now, got my AF (which is good in theory) i also have a cold so i really feel yuck.

I am in the country in a town of 50 peole so find this site a great release and I can talk to people all be it by screens that understand how I feel and what I'm going through.

So I hope you find the same comfort I have hun. :hello:

Jen34 - Sending all the positive vibes I can muster to you and your little embies....STICK STICK STICK! I hope it wasn't too hard for you to visit your SIL the other day, it is so hard to put on a brave face. We had to go and visit our friends the other day as well, she's only 20 and they only been married for 2 months when they got PG by ACCIDENT! aaaahhhhh! But maybe holding our friends and fam's little ones will tranfer some baby energy?! Anyway, best of luck. Take it easy and I'll be watching out for the news.

21andTTC#1- We saw Brian Mullins, I don't even know if he is there anymore. Monash does have a really good rep but it all depends who YOU feel comfortable with. I don't even remember the price from Monash but I don't think City could be that different. Do you have Private HC? I've got a price list from City, I could email it to you if you like. I don't know if I'm meant to beacause its a bit different for everyone but it would give you an indication. I feel really good about Dr Davidson and the nurses there, but it might be different for you. Am I helping? Apart from their rep I think it all comes down to personality so just go and see someone and if it doesn't feel right then go see someone else. Don't let anyone tell you that your too young to worry about this yet, if this is what you want then DO IT and don't take no for an answer. I was 22 when we started trying and everyone kept telling me that I was still young and to go and travel and don't stress about it and now I'm almost 28 and they are saying "oh you have to do ivf and it would be great if you could do it before 30 (not that 30 is old at all!) so just keep bugging them until they give you a referal and go and visit every fertility doc on the coast if you have to! keep me posted ok xxx p.s let us know if you get that ring!

afm: well those pregnyl injections hurt ( ow) anyway does anyone know when you can do a test when using pregnyl. i got last injection on monday it is a 1500 ? who knows what that means anyway???

I cant remember sorry, Monash gives me bad vibes i wish it didnt coz it has such a good rep and the newest technology, I want a female doc aswell, I personally think male nurses are better but I like female doctors! strange i know! i work with them so id know i guess! There is another lovely girl on here called BECD she is 22 and done 3 cycles already, I hope she doesnt mind me talking bout her! HI if your reading :) she is a great help too! I feel good about 2009! My DP's mother is soooo supportive and is going to help pay, i am so pleased so thats a help too. AFM- im on CD 7 and my fertility monitor is requesting a testing stick im confused! anyone else on here using one? i still havent gotten a peak yet either :( i swear i ovulate im 28 days and have the signs. im hoping for a BFP for new years!

AFM - I've just hit the second week of the TWW.. Had a CD21 blood test done this morning.. The Lady who took my blood asked if I was ready for Christmas and I got all teary.. Damn I hate it when that happens.. All I can focus on is the 21st cause that is when AF is due...I may consider sorting out Chrissy day after that seeing as i'll be having about 20 people over on the day... :tmi:

Aww lilmisshavachat I am feeling for you, just try to wait for the AF (21st) I know it's easy to say cause I'm not you but try to find things to do that keep you busy but calm at the same time. I have been reading some books and they all say yoga is great especially during the tww.

I will wait to here the results and I hope they are good ones. :crossfingers:

AFM - looking forward to a few days off at xmas and then January finally starting! I am pretty worried about DH's swimmers though as he's just had an infection in his testicle for a week (ewwww) and although we're going to get a sperm analysis done anyway to be sure, I'm worried that we'll be delayed further. Ugh.

Also have been reading up on Clexane, which I have to use during my IVF injections - sounds horrid, another nasty painful injection! Bah. Anyway I guess it must be done, to get the 'prize' at the end!

just a quick update i have finally picked a FS and a clinic! IM SOOO PLEASED! i actually found out about her on here! she is female! AND is a professor AND is 1 of only 2 docters who hold a CREI ( a special term for like a really really smart RE degree ) so she isnt just a gyn-ob-FS she has an extra 3 years training and works through monash, she looks lovely and quite young which is shocking considering all the study she has done! she has won all these awards and I feel great about her, its at greenslopes private hospital and is a new clinic! ive posted some info just below, anyone looking for a new FS HAS to check her out! she is the true definition of girl power!

Sorry i have been missing in action for a while now. Has taken me a bit of time to get over the last BFN - I really thought i was pregnant this time. And then on top of that another one of my friends announced she was pregnant so i have have been pretty much hiding under a rock for a week or so.

Anyway just logged back in and saw your great news!!! Yay its so reassuring when you find a FS that you are happy with. I have to say that i am not overly happy with my new FS but i do have 4 frozen blasties so it makes sense to stay where I am for now. Even though my FS says there are absolutely no more tests he can do and that I just have to 'hope' that eventually one will stick. What crap!!!!!

Let us all know how you go on friday getting your referral - have you booked your appointment for the FS yet? How long did you have to wait?

Smithy - so sorry AF turned up for you hun :hug: .... Tho yay for being over and done with before chrissy.. I'm hoping AF turns up for me after new years (i think she is due around 1 jan) tho i have a HSG booked in for the 6th.... hmmm maybe i should change that

wow im thrilled with all the support you guys have given me! i feel so popular! one more sleep and I should be on the way to a 2009 baby! or pregnancy at least! i dont know how to ask the doctor for the referal, i dont want to be pushy but i dont want him to think he is my last resort as my other gp;s have ignored me, any suggestions on how to ask?

mollygirl- hey! yeah I havent seen u in a few days! i hope you are doing ok and trying to have a nice christmas.

JBM- i hate waiting to test i think i have tested from cd20 for like the last 6 months but i am NOT going to this month i swear!

nikki- hello again! yeah i think it will be a few months wait as she is so popular but thats ok as it gives us time to save as she is quite expensive too she runs her own practice at greenslopes called ivfmed but does her treatment through monash sunnybank and does all the procedures herself. I cant wait to start! also the stick im talking about is like an ovulation test stick but you buy a little monitor like mini computer thing that u put the stick in and it reads your estrogen and LH surge and tells you if your ovulating, its a bit dear 200 dollars roughly but it is quite good, u just do what it says and it tells you when to have sex, its only my 2nd month using it so im new to it. its called a fertility monitor, look it up! its only sold in the USA though but e bay sometimes has some from here if your lucky.

BJ- hey girl ive missed you! I also see you are now one of the crowd, i hope your stay here is short though. lots of baby dust!

ROB- hey! yes i love all you guys who always take care of me, i feel like the baby!

AFM- im on CD10 and my monitor still says low fertility, but i have the CM associated with ovulating, i always am terrified i will miss it but we have to give DP about 3 days to "charge" up as his swimmers are bad quality so the more the better the chance! so i will be ovulating around Xmas and HOPE! that i will have a new years surprise! i am just DYING to go to the pregnancy after LTTTC forum, i sometimes like to pop in and have a look but then it breaks my heart, i want it soooo much! good luck girls! this time next year we should all be moved on! just think that its not THAT far away! xoxoxoxo

AFM= well I am on CD13 had BT on CD10 and CD13, I have just finished doing my Trigger tonight so DP and I are to BD like crazy over the next few days booster shots on CD19 and again on CD22 So AF will be due 3rd Jan if she doesn't arrive then I have been advised to POAS 7th Jan hope all goes to plan as FS is out of the office till then.
So I guess this means that I am in the 2-3WW, Wishing you all a very merry christmas and a happy new year.

Nikki - This 2WW is going soooo slowly :lol: I hope you're well and its not long now until you see your FS! I love the Wii Fit as well, the yoga can get a bit tiring, have fun with it though, its great fun.

Smithy - Hi hun, I'm trying to stay busy in this 2WW cause this is driving me crazy. Sorry to hear AF arrived, but like you said at least you can go swimming now and no AF for Christmas. Thinking of you :hug:

Hi ladies,
I am heading off for a few weeks holidays and wanted to wish you all a BFP for Christmas and I hope you all have a happy and safe time with friends and family. Between Sushee, Gargy and the other moderators and administrators you will be well looked after.

I also wanted to say I have been so happy at the level of empathy, compassion and support in this thread and the LTTTC forum area over the year. You are deserve medals for being there for each other even when you are in need of comfort yourself. You have all made BellyBelly a better place and the LTTTC area a safe and welcoming environment for all

I hope those of you on a TTC break over Xmas can take the time to enjoy life, and celebrate what you do have. I know it can be a difficult time for you all and want you to know there is always someone here who can hold your hand, know where you are at, and give you a hug. Hopefully after a refreshing break you will be energised for 2009, which I believe will be an auspicious year for all of you in your quest to have a (or another) baby. We all have to hold onto hope to be able to continue on this journey, and I have much hope and lots of love for all of you.

Hello lovely ladies,

Just a quick post, I have just gotten back from Bali and am still trying to catch up, and am on leave again for 2 weeks so won't be able to pop in every day. Lots going on in here, will be thinking of your all in the lead up to your next cycles.

AFM I start injections on Saturday and am scheduled for a EPU on the 2nd Jan and ET 7th Jan. Counting down the days already and am feeling really excited about 2009.

Let's hope it is the year for all of us. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
