Long-term TTC & Assisted Conception - December 2009/January 2010

Trubabe - you poor thing. The last thing you need today of all days is being messed around like that. Hope you get that bright shiny BFP tho...and you'll soon forget all the drama. FX'd


Trublue - clomid always made me feel awful. I got sore BB and cramps when I shouldn't have. I wasn't temp charting then tho, so I'm not sure about that. I did chart for a year recently and my temp was always in the 36.0 to 37.0 range so I'm not sure about 34 or 38? Are you using a digital thermometer with 0.1 degrees accuracy? Good to hear that you've had a lot of tests and they are all clear. I hope you have a nice easy run and get a BFP real soon.

Murraycod - how exciting. I too started my last cycle whilst spotting (instead of waiting for full blown AF) as I had high FSH and it was lowest a couple of days before AF. Good luck with it all, wishing you a BFP early in the New Year.

thanks ladies.even though i expected it to be negative i still thought we may have been lucky, so now im in a grumpy mood.cant even blow off steam tomorrow night as the party fiance and i go to every nye Dp will be going to it this year alone and i will be home with the kids as there were dramas xmas eve and i told him i wont be going there is one woman,sister of hostess that i dont want myself or my girls around.so december has totally sucked. i hope everyone else has a great NYE :D

Aw, %#&*$#! I'm so sorry to hear that Trubabe. :comfort: I'm with you on this December sucking! Can you have a glass of wine and watch the fireworks on tv? That's all we did last year (looks like we may do the same this year).

Embryologist called to say that we have 15 good embryo's on day 2. Now waiting for BT results to see if we can go ahead with transfer on Sunday... I so hope we can. More worried about doing transfer with Frozen embryo's...

Babytruj we got BFP on frozen transfer. Even though the stats arelower I really don't know how. More ppl we know got their BFP on an FET than on a fresh cycle. They say this as if you do a natural cycle, there is so much less stress on your body. I did Bowen Therapy for mine and voila here we are. Just have faith sweety. :)

Trubabe I am so sorry that you got BFN, I completely understand how it can feel ATM, I used to allow myself 4 full days to be a biaaatch, then promised myself I'd dust myself off and get back on the horse, otherwise everyone around me would then sufer!!:lol:

AFM my bloods came back today, my prog levels are at baseline, so I am oficially classed as DAY 2 CYCLE of my 1st IVF WOOOHOOO so excited!!!
No spotting but Repromed say that is normal for many many girls.
Have my first Puregon inj thisevening, 150iu.
Here we go!!!

Babytruj, FX the BT comes back okay and your transfer goes ahead. 15 is a great number.

AFM, I see the acupuncturist on Monday for the first time so am excited but also a little nervous. We're off alcohol for 2 weeks, then hols for 2 weeks (where of course a few tipples will be imbibed) and then back for a 4-week detox just in time for our first frozen transfer. So a bit of a learning curve ahead.

Rob, Can I ask you what the Bowen Therapy is that you did for your successful FET?

Has anyone heard from Emstar lately? I was just wondering how she was travelling ...

Was in another thread all by myself with no one to chat with. So I thought I would come over here, hope its o.k.
I was wondering if you guys could help out with a question that I have.

I've got one week left of my 2ww, not feeling very positive at all. Actually Not feeling anything, I have no pregnancy signs at all.
Still have the sore throat and the bad cough though. And you should see the bruises from the Clexane injections. Ouch. Rang lab and had to cancel my NK Cell test : ( cause of the bad cold I caught.

I had asked my clinic to have a blood test for my progesterone levels. So on 30th December, 7 days after ovulation 4 days after transfer my levels were 41.
SO is that good or average. My clinic said it was good. I have no idea whats good as this is the first time I asked for this test.
Some help from you ladies with regards to Progesterone levels would be greatly appreciated.

Danyelle best of luck with your last week of TWW, im not an expert on progestrone levels, but I do know that if your levels get higher, that is a GOOD sign!!!!
I know because I had been waiting for mine to drop and get AF to start my 1st stim cycle. Good luck to you XX

Brunette how did the Accupuncture go?? I was terrified the first time I had accupuncture as I am terrified of needles (go figure!)
Some little pins I never felt, and others hurt a little, but in the end the experience was relaxing, and I have been back several times since!
Hope that you enjoy your holiday comming up!! Please Please have a fizzy for me, and enjoy while you can, that detox sounds like uuummmmm....fun;)

Danyelle, I'm not sure what levels are good or not, sorry. I'm still reeling over the Estrodial levels and what they all mean.

AFM, the transfer was cancelled, cos my Estrodial counts were still too high and FS worried about OHSS. I am glad in some ways, because I am very bloated and having some shortness of breath, and I was told OHSS can get worse after about day 5 from EPU and even worse if you are pregnant. So I wouldn't want to have to stress about a baby and OHSS. Still very disappointing. They froze 10 eggs with 8 cells or more on Friday (Day 3), and they had another 5 they were monitoring to see if they grew more and were worth freezing.
I have to rest for 4 weeks for ovaries to come back to normal size, anf then anouther 8 weeks for body to fully recover before we can do a FET. So a bit of a pain that we have to wait so long!!
