Babytruj how frustrating!!! AAAGGGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
Poor darling I hope that you feel better soon XXX Atleast you will get to go away like you had said earlier, but gee the few month wait seems a bit harsh!!!!
It's things like this that I have no idea of, that can happen to me, I shouldnt get so excited, so many people have told me to be prepared for the worst stressfull journey, but the mind won't quite come down from cloud nine yet...(remind me of this when I feel like 'crapoli' soon!!)
Anyways take care, and hope that you can feel better very soon XXX

Hi Ladies,
I hope the new year brings much needed hope and much awaited good news to all the ladies on this thread. It's time to wash away past disappointments and worries and embrace new goals and dreams in 2010! ...Atleast that's what I'm telling myself, lol!
:pink-babydust: :bluedust: :pink-babydust: :bluedust: :pink-babydust: :bluedust:
I haven't been on bellybelly since Sept last year. I found it a bit hard after my last BFN to talk about it to anyone. Knowing that if we weren't successful that we only have one last frostie left was too much to bear. DH was wonderful. So we decided to have a break and wait until the new year. So FET here we come!
Our lucky last FET will be around the 22nd or 23rd Jan. Are any of u lovely ladies cycling around the same time?
I promise to catch up with ur stories next time as I'd love to see if there are any familiar names.
Jen

Danyelle, that sounds fine to me! There's a great website for hormone levels, but its a US website and they use different units, so you have to convert the numbers (I have another website I know for that). I can post the links if you want, or you can just take my word for it - anything over 30 is fine.
Emstar, FX for today's appointment. Let's see if we can mark your entire cycle out by birthdays? My mum's birthday is on the 12th, so now we just need a birthday for EPU... ;)
Afm, my sleep patterns are all stuffed up (hence the 3.18am post - Qld time). :shakehead: I've got one week to get it all sorted out before work starts again... :wall:

Hey there
Murraycod, it is frustrating, when you go through all the jabs not to put the egg back, but the main thing is my health and safety. No point me having issues then so will the baby if we get the BFP.
I think you have to try and be excited. It is hard, and probably the worst bit is the emotions at the end of each cycle - either a BFP or a BFN. But you have to be hopeful that the BFP will appear.
Spring, welcome back, and good luck with your FET!
Juniper - Why your sleep patterns messed up? Hopefully you can have a relaxing day:)
AFM, I need to call the embryologist to see if there were any additional embryo's frozen, and speak to the FS to see if I still need to be eating egg whites - 8 a day seems a bit excessive - and gets very boring, cos after you have 3 for breakfast and for lunch - you are too full to eat anything else:)

Afternoon Ladies
I haven't posted since Christmas and am really happy to have read most of the posts today. Most of you seem to have started the new year in an optomistic way which is great. I hope that the New Year gives us all the BFP very quickly. Sorry for no personals but I'm still also trying to catch up at work.
AFM have had a very indulging time and am now back on track. Have hit the gym in a big way and started back with my personl trainer as we wont be having another FET till at least March i thought I'd give my body every fighting chance to get fit. We will be trying naturally bewteen now and our next cycle (you just never know given that we have unxplained) I also start back with my acupuncture this week

Hi all,
juniper76 - I hope ur sleeping pattern becomes well adjusted soon. I always have trouble getting to sleep before midnight all year round. I just can't do it!
babytruj - 8 egg whites a day? Wow! How long have u been doing that for? I don't think I'd cope!
Hey, here is a random question for you all. I recently bought this mad home laser hair removal system. It's awesome, but i'm worried about the affects of the laser light on my bikini area. The user guide says not to use it whilst pregnant, which I won't. But do u think it affects your reproductive organs if your TTC?

Thank you ladies for all your helpful information, it is greatly appreciated.
Murraycod; These injection that we have to do are terrible. I pray to God that you never end up on Clexane, they really hurt and the bruising, lets just say I have a bruise that’s bigger then a golf ball on my tummy and that’s from just one injection :o
Babytrui; really sorry about the OHSS. Its really annoying that you have to wait that long. What does all the egg whites do for you ????
Murraycod; it is true about IVF being the most stressful time of your life, but I found the ladies on here a God send.
Spring: All the best for your FET 22/23 January.
Terry: All the best for your FET in March
Juniper76: Wow your body clock is definitely out of whack.

I would love if you could post the links regarding Hormone levels. Much appreciated.
AFM: I went for another Progesterone Blood test today, I am 11 days after ovulation and P4 level is 61 so that's a good sign its going up .

NK Cell Test
May I please offer you lovely ladies some advice:
I have watched my sister go through IVF for 6 years now and nothing to show for it. She has been anywhere from 4 weeks pregnant up to 10 weeks and lost it.
If it wasn’t for my endless search of the Belly Belly forums over the last 8 months and the wonderful ladies who put all this information on here, I worked out what might be my sister’s problem.
I got my sister to do the NK cell test back in Aug 2009 and now after all these years she now has an answer to her problem – NK Cell Antibodies.
Please ladies go and get tested for it, its just a blood test. You can also do the test when your doing a cycle which is great.
Just one thing to remember make sure your 100% healthy when you do the test.
(You can’t have the flu or anything else. Make sure your not on antibiotics when doing the test, cause it can affect the results, as I have found out and have to redo the test)
I know they do it at St George Public Hospital at Kogarah Sydney NSW.
The test you need to ask for is: Flow Cytometry for NK Cells.
If I can save just one lady from the heart ache that my sister has been through - it has been worth it.
-
Hi Spring - I do not have any personal experience with the laser treatment you are talking about, but I would think that if it may be harmful to a developing baby then it may also be harmful to developing follicles - they're all growing and you don't want to inhibit cell growth during a cycle. Like I said, I don't really know, but that would be my logic. Good luck!

Hi Ladies,
Emstar - Looks like we part ways with out cycling this month :( We're not doing a frozen transfer until Feb. GL babe!
Babytruj - You have been through the wringer on your first cycle, hun. I've never had OHS but I have heard it is very, very painful. Rest sounds best and it's great you're so upbeat and positive. I've never been told to take egg whites, let alone 8 per day! I have heard protein is good for egg quality, but surely seeing as how the EPU is over you wouldn't need to keep taking them ...
Danyelle, Thanks for the reminder about NK test. I am getting tested for that soon, as well as about 11 other tests for autoimmune/implantation issues. I just need to summon up enough courage first, because they have to take 12 vials of blood! Yuck.
Hi Terry! Good to see you're back. We're doing similar things this year, your cycle in March; we're cycling in Feb/March and trying to get fit before then. GL to you!
Murraycod, acupuncture was fine. I had a couple of places where it stung for about 2 minutes, and found out one was the kidney point and the other was the stress point. She had told me before treatment that I would probably have issues with my kidneys due to underactive thyroid which can make the body cold, and might have to give me some herbs before my next transfer to give me some "heat". The detox is going to be yuck and very expensive. There are three stages to it, and each stage you need to buy different pills/powder. Aaaaagh! I will definitely have some fizz for you - as well as some red and some white
-
Brunette you seem to be doing the same things I did when I started acupunture. I know all the different herbs etc are expensive and let me tell you some of them taste vile but once a started my detox a few months ago I really started to fell really good on the inside. So perceive through it and you should reap the rewards. I still take 4 different vitamins a day and when I'm cycling I get given another chinese herb which is horrible but I find after a few days of drinking it it tastes ok. When you eventually do the blood tests make sure you go home after I had them done at lunchtime and by the time I got back to work I felt like I was going to pass out. My FS told me that it can take upto 6 weeks to get all the results so I reckon you should sum up the courage to go for it.

sorry ive been quiet lately ladies.i hope you all enjoyed christmas and new year.ive been taking time out and spending it with the family after a lousy december.not only mums cancer diagnosis but also 2 days before xmas we found out DPs application for early release of some of his super was turned down because it was missing one sentence :wall: so we are going to appeal the decision but in meantime we have to chance up new supporting letters from the drs including the missing sentence. AF still hasnt shown up.she should have been here monday last week, but looks like shes going to be majorly late like last few months even though this cycle was medicated and BFN bt.MUM sees surgeon this friday so hoping she may have surgery next week.also after having talk with DP i think i am going to see gynae again and see if i can get another lap done as i think my endo may be back.so with all thats going on and what im trying to get organized ttc might have to get put on pause for a little while
-
Thanks for the tips, Terry, especially about going home after the BTs. I was thinking of doing them in the afternoon as I would be more hydrated after drinking 8 glasses of water during the day :)
Trubabe, Hope everything goes well for your mum when she sees the specialist!

Afm, to be completely honest, my sleep patterns are so screwed up because I became very depressed after our transfer was cancelled. The insomnia kicks in and I can't get to sleep at night and then I can't wake up in the morning because I've only just gotten to sleep. Last "night" I finally got to sleep after sunrise... :wall: Hopefully since I've only had 4 hours of (bad) sleep I'll manage to get to sleep at a normal time tonight... :crossfingers: And then I just need to reach a point where I won't burst into tears if someone asks me how my Christmas was by Monday (when I go back to work).
-
Hi Girls,
Just letting you all know that i had my FS appointment yesterday and we have gone from the Anatagonist Protocol to the Agonist ( down reg) Protocol which i start the synarel on Friday....I'm hoping that with this change comes a positive result..just as we all wish...
Danyelle - i noticed in your post you mentioned St George hospital...Are you with IVF Australia there ?? if so, who is your FS?? That is where i go and just glad to see someone might be so close to home!! :D
-
Juniper, I feel for you babe. After the first few IVF cycles which failed, I remember being at work and tears just welling in my eyes when nobody had asked me anything. I kept telling myself, `get a grip, you're at work,' and just hoping no-one had noticed. Keep your chin up!
-
Brunette, I've done that so often when I wasn't this upset - I am absolutely dreading having to go back to work on Monday! I just know I'm going to have either one or both managers (who know about the cancelled transfer) coming in to ask me how I'm doing. And then I've got my performance review sometime in the next two weeks and the IVF is sure to be raised during that as well...
