Ooohhh, just checked my Chinese Horoscope and I am an Ox and 2009...... is the Year of the OX....

So this is my year to shine, hopefully someone or something is looking down on me with good thoughts...

Hey Kelly, have been lurking and followed your progress. Did you mention that your birthday is soon? Then you must be an Aquarian! It says this is the best year for Aquarians as well and the last time have this kind of luck was in 1997. So I guess soon you will be 'ticking' New baby box too! :dance:

Thanks Cuddlepie, here's hoping this is a good year, Miss M & I share the same birthday (different age - by 1 year) so maybe we will both get BFP's for sure this year. How far along along are you now in your next FET cycle??

Miss M: Cuddlepie, mentioned that this year is a good year for Aquarians as well. I'm feeling good about this one for both of us.

Just one more thing.... Wow it is soooooo hot at the moment. Ballarat was at 42 a couple of hours ago. I really am feeling for everyone else who is suffering with this heat wave... What are they saying, it will be here until Saturday at least. I think I might loose some of those extra kilo's as it feels like I'm in a permanent sauna.

Just a quick update from me - had the epu today. Picked up 10 eggs, 6 of which are mature. Feeling pretty good and recovering well.

Just wanted to pop in and say that although I am not posting much at the moment, I am checking up on you all and trying to keep up to date.

AFM - well I am on day 8 of Provera so 2 days to go then hopefully AF will show up and I can get started on a FET. Will keep you posted!!!

Kelly - oh, everything sounds right on track for you this time. Praying all your dreams come true very soon

Diamond - yay at 6 mature eggies. Hope you get great fertilisationresults tomorrow

MrsM - GL with scan tomorrow. Hope there a some great follies in there

AFM - of the 23 eggies, 13 have fertilised so far. Apparently they are still watching 7. Is prob about the result I expected given at last scan i should have only had about 15-16 mature eggies. So presuming those fertilised came from them and the remainder likely just immature eggies that popped up at last minute. Much on a par with last cycle so far ( 14 embies from 21 eggs).Still feleing physically and emotionally far less than ordinary but have become resigned today. Not much more I can do to change anything. We will almost certainly still proceed to ET on Sun as I just can't not at least try but will be defnitely very practical and try and plan for the next step. Thanks for those trying to be positive about my lining but I do not like to live with false hope and there is very little chance it will change in the next few days

Miss M - GL with your scan tomorrow, I hope your follies are growing nicely

Diamond - well done on pu - great result

Mollygirl - hope AF shows up on time so you can get down to business with FET

Hello again everyone,
As tends to be my pattern I'm popping in yet again to announce more delays - I can't believe it! DH's sperm were severely affected by his illness in Dec, and now, just after getting the all-clear and waiting a month for the boys to recover, he got a 2ND infection! Bah. So at this stage we're looking at having to wait until mid-march for the antibiotics to get out of his system and hopefully his boys to recover again :wall:
So I'll still be keeping up with everyone and feeling envious of those cycling - I just am SO impatient (ha ha aren't we all?) and I just want to get started! Seems like everyones got lots of follies which is great - I am sure this will be THE year for all of us :pray:

Mrs P - sorry about to hear about hubbies infection, in response to your reply from another thread, I have booked into see Geoff Brothers next week! He seems to come highly recommended.

Aleenta - TWW is frustrating.. I am waiting for AF to arrive and this month seems to be dragging on forever, it always seems to be the way when you want something to happen.

MeredithD - I hope things get better for you soon. :hug:

AFM - they say no news is good news right.. well thats the case of my Fertility clinic. They called me again today and my papsmear has come back abnormal :( if its not one thing its another. FS has seen it and said not to worry.. we will check it again in 6 months. Not sure what that means, but he is the specialist - right. Hubbys results are low (if I haven't mentioned it already) his count was 9million and only 3% are A grade. I also finally go the pricing on my lap surgery - $4500.. knock me down with a feather. :doh:

forgive my newness.. I am still learning all the lingo and the whole process of assisted conception, poking, prodding, needles, nasal sprays and general fun.. lol...

Meredith: 13 Fertilised is great. Hope you get a nice surprise at your ET. If you get some good quality embryo's are you going to transfer 1 or 2??

AFM: Still no surge this morning... Although I can feel slight pain in the side that the follicle is growing. It feels like my ovary is ready to burst. Have to ring the clinic to get the result from yesterday's BT and will probably have to get another one done
today. Don't really feel like going out in the heat today (have to get dressed - instead of laying around in front of the portable airconditioner).

Hope the all the Vic girls are coping in the heat.

KellyD, fingers crossed you get your surge soon, and GL with you FET. My there are lots of us coming up with FETs. Hope Feb is the month for it.

Kritkit, so sorry to hear re your results, I hope it is nothing serious. I know what you mean re the costs for the lap, but most of it is covered by Medicare isn't it? I love the government and the safety net. Did a quick calculation today and worked out I have spent over $35,000 on IVF in the past year or so. So happy that a lot of this is refunded.

Mrs P, how frustrating for you. Fingers crossed all will be well by March. It is best to make sure that both your health is in the best possible condition. I know I have gotten much better embies out of cycles where I watch my diet etc. Though never could tear DH away from the ice cream.

Aleenta, sending you lots of baby dust in the TWW. Nothing is more stressful or more exciting. I hope this is the one for you.

Meredith, don't lose all hope, there is always a chance. I keep trying to tell my self miracles can happen. I hope it happens for you, and if not you have lots of lovely frosties for your FET.

Mollygirl, I have been wondering how you were going. Hope the Provera bring on AF as planned. Crazy me did a quick calculation for you and worked out you might get your BT results and a BFP before end of Feb, wow, only around the corner. I would be just as excited as if it were my own BFP. Will be thinking of you.

Smithy, how's it going with you? When are you doing your FET? Was it March or sooner, I notice you changed your signature. Good luck.

Diamond, hoping you get some great fert results, 6 is a great number. Will be watching to see how your cycle goes and praying for a BFP for you.

Toby, GL with you FS appointment. I know what it is like, I was in denial that I had to go to IVF for 3 years. Now I just wish I had started sooner.

To anyone I have missed, GL with whereever you are in your cycles.

AFM, I have had a very hard last two weeks, with a BFN from my latest stim cycle on the 14th, which I had had such high hopes for. I was really praying that doing the Colorado Protocol would be the one thing I needed to make it happy.

And to top it of, DH told me a few days later that his sister (my SIL), after getting married at the end of October 08, has fallen pregnant in her first month trying, so is around 10 weeks now. I was a mess, it is just so not fair that something we hope and pray and live for (us for 4 years now) comes to someone else so easily. I felt like God had just slapped me in the face and I spent the last week feeling very bitter and twisted. IT'S JUST NOT FAIR. I am cycle day 16 today, DH and I DTD last night and afterwards I lay there thinking that for some, it is as easy as that. I just can't comprehend it.

But I am trying to move on. I had my FS appointment today for a cycle review. He has said that he is almost at a loss as to why I am not yet pregnant after 5 ETs, and has referred me to Dr Julie Lindstrom in Brisbane hoping to get a fresh perspective on my 'case'. I am feeling both let down and elated at the same time, hoping that she will be able to come up with something that will make the difference. I am hoping to get in to see her in the next 2 weeks, before AF arrives. So in the meantime we are planning an FET once AF arrives, still with the Colorado Protocol. Really searching for some hope and faith in this. But it is hard.

Babydream, big cyber :hug:, its just so unfair and sucks. I can't comprehend that either but after 5-years soul searching and emotional drain, I just build a very thick shield right now when I hear anyone who is pregnant just because southern wind blows...:rolleyes:

Kelly D and Miss M, count me in as an Aquarian group, mine is on 5th Feb. when is yours? Feb is the BFP month for us!!!

Oh baby dreamtime, I know, some of us are just meant to wait longer than others, I dont know why, my darling cousin is 9 weeks off delivery, and we were preg at the same time in July last year, your not alone xxxx

Baby Dreamtime - sending lots and lots of :hug: your way!!! You should have called me and we could have had a big vent together. I am still struggling to deal with my friend who had a baby last week - i still haven't been to see her yet and when i did summons up the strength to call to arrange a time to catch up - all she did was complain about how hard it is trying to get used to having a baby to look after!!!!! C'mon people - choose your audience!!!!!

BDT - oh darl, feel free to vent away. This journey is truly THE hardest thing any of us have probably ever faced and despite what the "ignorant" may think, it does ot get any easier with each failure.... only harder and harder. Hoping that the new FS can bring back some renewed hope with at least some different approach. Have you had any immunological testing? NK cell testing?
Bring on AF and another FET... it could still be the one

Krikkit - eeek at the surgery costs but I guess it will seem like nothing once you have a baby on the way. Sorry about DH's results. Are they reccomending any treatment, menevit etc?

me _ will be day 3 post EPU tomorrow. Hoping we still have a fair number of embies still growing strong. Have another scan in the morning to recheck lining. Don't really want to go as likely to just cause me more anxiety but i guess at least it will be cool in the clinic.... 43c for 3 days in row!!!

Just wanted to let you all know that finally I got the positive surge last night, just waiting for the clinic to open this morning to have 1 more BT and then get this FET rolling. I think either Monday or Tuesday next week for me :dance:.

Miss M: How are things going for you?? Are all systems go for an EPU tomorrow?? I'm thinking of you as I would love to share my TWW and Birthday Present with you.

AFM: Confirmation that surge occurred yesterday, so FET scheduled for 1.45pm on Monday. Only down side is my prog level is a bit low (20) so have to be on yucky pessaries (1 a day) from tonight. I was hoping as I ovulated naturally my body would have enough prog to keep me going, but not to be. At least I know the pessaries are the best thing and I am used to doing them twice a day, so once a day will be a breeze.

To Spring, Aleenta, Neptune & WLAB, I'll be joining you guys soon in the TWW and can't wait.

mollygirl1977 & Baby Dreamtime : totally understand where you are coming from. Friend of mine gave birth over a week ago, and I have a gift for her.. but I cant go and see her yet.

AFM: Hubby got onto menevit as soon as we got the low results.. and then the FS put him on a mega dose of Folic acid too. Surgery, Cost wise we are just going to have to get through it and pay for it as it comes. First counselling session tomorrow.. oh the joys.. I have lost my libido totally in the midst of all this.. so I am sure that will be brought up tomorrow.

AFM - AF arrived last week And it has come back today very lightly. The other nite DH and I DTD ( itthink thats what you call it) and had more `showing' - that never happens. Anyway i feel sick and bloated with pains like it is coming again. Has anyone had this prob with the fert drugs? this didnt happen last time. I'm having a BT on mon morn so wil make appoint with FS then.

Keep positive all - I am trying really hard to.

I am still a mental basket case and I am sure the heat isn't helping!
Scan today as expected. No change in lining which is what i anticipated but still guts me. Nothing more they can do and have left me to decide on ET or not. Will defnitely be proceeding ( as long as we have something) as I can't face not at least giving it a go. Plus they can't ever say I wouldn't get pg with thin lining but defnitely can't if i don't transfer.
My dilema right now is...... if we have more than one blast on Sun and they say one ( or more) is suitable for freezing then do i freeze the best, guaranteed frostie, knowing it might give me another chance on a (hopefully) better cycle, and put back anything else that may not make freeze or do i pick the strongest that might stick it out despite thin lining.
At this stage I am inclined to think i would request freezing any definite potential frostie so its perhaps not wasted on what seems to be a dud cycle but still give anything else the chance of a fresh transfer. What do you girls think?

Oh and so far at day 3 we still have 13embies. One already compacting. The others b/n 7-10 cells. Sounds great but this is much the same as last cycle and things began to really fizzle in th last 2 days

Woo hoo !!!! AF has finally arrived today (strange as I only took last Provera this morning) anyway FET is about to get underway....very excited!!!!!

Hi Meredith -poor love, I wrote you a lovely post but it dispeared, anyway anyway, I know you feel rotten now, and you still have lots of those hormones mucking you about. You will feel better again once they are out of your system. I reckon that even with thin lining it is still 4.7, many many times deeper than the pin ***** sie of the egg, so if thats what feels right for you then go for it, you'll know on the day.
Krikkit - yes mine gave up long ago, but improved a bit when had a break. Although I did find doin' it the night before trf as part of my own prescription got things going

Well got my BFN so back to the start again. H/ave to have a rubella needle so 28 days of the pill and then we start again.
