Hi - have just done a quick read to catch up on everything so some responses may seem a bit delayed. I was in bed two days this week with a migraine so has taken me a while to get back in the swing of things. Despite what my mood says I am happy to say I am no longer crappy!
Firstly I just wanted to say how sad I was when I read your news BW...I am thinking of you & DH through this hard time.
Megan sorry to hear about DH's grandmother...you guys have had it pretty tough lately. Hope you are both alright.
Sonya & Tracey- sorry to hear your news. hope you are both okay.
I have just started my first round of IUI. Today will be my fourth day of Puregon injections. I had to get DH to do my first one but I am fine with it now, just had to get the first one out of the way I guess. Having my first blood test on Monday to see how things are progressing. I am so excited to have started it still feels a bit surreal. BG looks like where both up to injection #4 today? Might have to bug you if I have any 'first timer' questions...
Jo - CONGRATS - was so happy to read the good news!all the best for your pregnancy
Hi to Rols, Sparkles, Sarah, Sushee, Shannon, Holly, Cheryl, Mummy2, Nic, Lou & anyone else I have missed.

Hi everyone
Traceylee and Sonya - sorry to hear your news... take care of yourselves
Jo - YAY! Congrats on a BFP and a bit earlier than you expected? From memory you were doing a b/t on 20th? Anyway, well done... so excited for you!!
Hi Ali - day 4 of injections - you and BG are only a few days behind me... and given that I was on injections for 17 days last time... who knows... we might all be in the TWW together?:pray::pray:
Holly - got the CD yesterday thanks - will try to find tomorrow to sit down and listen to it. Thanks again.
Hi to Nic and Rols and Ellie and BG and Sarah and Lou and Sushee and Mummy2 and Hippymum and everyone else that I missed. Hope your weekend is going well.
Just a small update from me - had my scan yesterday - all is on track and looking better than last cycle, so that is good news. More injections and back for another scan on Tuesday. I am feeling so much better about this cycle and I think taking the injections in evening might be part of that... allows my body to cope with the hormones while I am sleeping rather than during the day with all of the stresses going on!
Anyway, take care all and talk soon.

i'm day 4 too Chez!
which reminds me - time to go get the injection happening...
-
Jo - congratulations, I wish you better luck in escaping this thread than I had.
Tracey - I'm so sorry to hear your news . I know there's nothing to say now that will make you feel better, I hope you have more success next time.
Lou - I'm surprised they're allowing you to go straight into a FET cycle, I had to wait a cycle in between, and I think they'd have made me do that even without the OHSS. I'm hoping this plan works for you.
Me... little tired, very sleepy, very, very HURTY! Arthritis pain is giving me absolute hell, which really keeps the loss in the forefront of my mind - so cruel! Trying to shift my focus to the future and trying again... not always successful. Survived a quick visit with the family today... cuddles with my 4 year old nephew have been very healing.
:hello: to those I have missed... just too sore to type much more, sorry. Thinking of you all.

BW - so sorry to hear the arthritis is giving you grief again - hoping you can get some relief soon
take care hun

Today, I decide to put my sad story behind and start to look forward to what future brings on, and coming back to this thread is the first step I took. I feel warm in the heart to see all the familiar faces but just need to do a bit catch up on everyone's progress..
Jo, congratulations on your BFP! I am so thrill for you and enjoy every minute of it!
Sonya and Tracey, sorry to hear this cycle didn't work out for you...
BG, Chez and Ali, hope everything goes well and soon you will be in TWW! (oh, well, I know that's torture but at least no injections LOL)
Ellie, how are you going hun? AF turned up yet after D&C? I hope its on its way...
BW, I hope your bleeding stopped and now just trying to get your body rhythem back...glad to hear the trip to visit family helped the healing process ...
I didn't have much bleeding after D&C, just watery red and its pretty much stopped now, a few cramps here and there, so physically its on the mend...but I don't when AF will turn up but again a waiting game, I am pretty good at playing that now...today, I am going to get a new diary and hope this one will end on a high note....
:hello: to lou, Megan, Rol and everyone else I missed...

Hi all - well there really are a lot of mixed feeling at the mo, and my heart goes out to all of you- i dont know if the clomid is working but im a little sensetive to all your news at the mo and even welled up watching a movie last night- why do i always have to get the depression side effect??? oh and my right side is giving me some pain hope its not the OHSS not setteled down after my last cycle.
Sonya and TL, BW, BB- my thoughts are with you.
Ellie, Rols - where are you- hoping that you are OK?
Bw- I was surprised that they let me go on straight onto a FET too maybe they just want me out the door with all the Q and resurch that i keep throwing at them from BB. hehe I did think that they would check my ovaries befor they put me on the clomid but they didnt, so how do they know if i will still have enlarged ones, as i know that clomid can aldso cause OHSS, and with regards to the multipul pg my FS just said well were going to put back two anyway!!!
BG- how are you going hun - you sound brighter with your last post (i know it was only short though) but i am a little worried about you, your mood says your doubful??I can understand your thinking and please discuss with mac when you see him next its no good for you if you are feeling like this is not for you even befor you start? DYKWIM? Oh and my DH will be away for another three days this week too so if you want a chat ill be here!
Chez - great news on your results so far - like i have said before my DFS told me that they get better results from the 2nd go for some reason - i think they get the drug thing a bit better and also 'we' know what to expect so i think that takes a little stress away! Look at jo - hoping that will be you too hun.x
Well i better go and take my clomid befor i forget !!!!AGAIN!!!!and help DHubby to tidy up ready for friends coming over for lunch xx

hi all
BeiBei - the first few steps will be hard hun. i hope you're doing ok.
lou - hope the ohss isn't still giving you grief - am very surprised that they didn't do a quick u/s or at least a BT to check your hormone levels. sounds like the clomid might be working though hun and it shouldn't be too long before FET for you - yay!!
as for me - i'm doing pretty well at the moment. was doubtful of what i was feeling last night, but i think i was trying to over analyse things cos i was really tired. am getting some nigglings around my ovaries - feels kinda like a bit of strained muscle pain, but not consistent - it's pretty much the same as what i felt last OI cycle (which i kept thinking was muscle strain from gardening! lol!!) - so i think i'mfeeling ok that things are starting to happen. i also got that first feeling of pureon-induce sore bb's last night - cameon rather suddenly, hung around for a whle, then went away again, but it happened, which gives me more confidence that the lower dose is doing something! - just hoping for a couple of decent dominant follicles at tomorrows u/s....

HI everyone, I have been out of touch for awhile... but am back now!
So good to hear that some of you are getting good news, but very sorry to hear about those who arent! I wish everyone the best of luck for what you are going through right now!!
As for me, im on my 3rd and final IUI cycle. Im actually in the 2ww - BT scheduled for 6th August - but, there arent many people in that forum - and i'm lonely!!
BG - are you trying IUI again?
Alicat - I would love to help you by answering any questions you might have... I feel like im an old pro at all this IUI stuff now!! Also, talking about it kind of helps me deal with it a little bit better! I truly hope your first cycle is a success!!!
Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend xx
-
hi karena and welcome back hun! i seen your post in the tww thread, but hadn't replied cos i only tend to flit in and out when i'm not actually "there" iykwim? you mentioned your IUI being painful this time around - i noticed that last time. my cervix just didn't want to play ball! hoping it's much better this time!
we're trying IUI again this cycle and after that, who knows? (kinda hoping the "after that" involves a BFP to be honest :) ) i'm having my first u/s tomorrow (day 6) to see how my ovaries are behaving on the lower dose of puregon this time (150IU) - have been having some twinges similar to when i was on 200IU, so here's hoping it's a good sign! When do you have your u/s ali?
sorry for no other personals - am on the recovering end of a short lived but very nasty migraine this afternoon. just a quick question for anyone that has had puregon injections - have you noticed any blood pressure problems at all? i know my headaches of late have partially been due to my neck being out, but the dizzy spells haven't been (nor today's headache - my neck is feeling fine) - it's like i have a low BP for a while (stood up from weeding the garden), and then the headache later starts off like it's gone too high to counteract it or something... i had first dizzy spell this week after starting puregon again so just wondering if there's a link, or whether i'm just one of those lucky people that gets silly coincidences like that? be my luck that it's just me!
-
I'm not sure when I have an u/s BG. Have my first blood test tomorrow morn to see if the dose I am on is doing anything. I think I am on a really low dose to start off with - 50 IU. I am guessing that if the blood test shows no change that they will increase the dose? At what stage do they usually do the u/s?
-
it depends on your response Ali. i went through a similar protocol to yourself when we first started out - unfortunately i'm one of those troublesome patients that didn't respond well to start out!!
the protocol we should have done back then was injections for a few days, BT, then once a response is noted from that, u/s was booked.
Best of luck for tomorrow hun!
-
Hi Alicat - Each cyle of IUI that I have done, my dose has always been 50IU. I think the dose is dependant upon your ability to ovulate. Thankfully, I havent had a problem in that area... its just the actual 'getting pregnant' part that I fail in! After your BT tomorrow - they will call you to let you know when the next BT AND u/s is... good luck - I hope you dont have to wait too long!
BG - thanks for the warm welcome! I completely sympathise with you about the headaches, I have never associated it with low BP - only with the injections. The headaches and breakouts start the day following my first injection - and they continue until a couple of days after the last! I hate it... but I guess it all comes with the territory!
Also, this cycle - I have been very prone to bruising - I almost feel like the hormones are affecting my circulation... I have 2 really big bruises on my stomach from where I have had some of the injections... and bruises all over my legs!
So - the IUI cycles arent really that much fun for me I have to say!
BG - I hope your u/s goes well tomorrow... I had mine last week - I had a follicle that was almost an inch in diameter... they booked the procedure for the very next day! Hope you get a good result too! Oh - and my poor DH - I asked him to come in with me this time and the nurse said to him... 'by the way... you produced a very healthy sample this time'... I think she was trying to make him feel important - but he just went bright red! Poor guy!
Good luck everyone... xx
-
i don't have to do the synarel or anything like that anymore because my body responded to it too well and wouldn't respond to the puregon, so now when i go for u/s, if things are looking good, i start having an antagonistinjection every 24 hours until follies are ripe then trigger - the anotagonist stops me ovulating before i'm supposed to
just another needle each day... LOL
-
thanks for the info Karena & BG. Will see what they say tomorrow. Good luck with your u/s BG.
Hi to everyone else...hope this is a good week for everyone :)
-
Where does everyone do their injections? Is thigh or stomach easier? I was thinking thigh, basically for logistics (LOL) cos I can sit down & see what I'm doing!
Tomorrow is the big day!!
