Emma - So very sorry hun. How cruel of the universe :( The pessaries keep AF away for me. It usually comes a few days after I stop taking them.

Miss B - Thanks for liking my avi. A big big special shout out to Sararose for doing it for me. The day before my scan I had asked her for a preggie one and then I had to let her know to change it. She was brilliant and did so. I really loved the pg one of me better :(

AFM, had another chat to OH last night, he isn't ready (I should rephrase it , he doesn't think I'M ready) for another cycle next month. He thinks my body isn't up to it, like he knows what my body is doing/feeling. Apparently, I become a crazed woman on the drugs, what the???? He says he's up for a cycle in October and possibly one after Christmas, depending on what happens in October. The reason why I wanted one in September was b/c we're taking over a newsagency in October so it will be pretty full on, I didn't want to add IVF to the mix. He says we'll be OK to do it then. Not happy Jan :( I was really set on doing one next month and then possibly another in November and hopefully we would't have to contemplate one early next year.

How frustrating for you Miss B. :wall: I am sure you can talk him around. I think with our age (and the medicare safety net) its better to just get on with it. You know your body better than anyone. Even more than the FS. If your taking over a newsagency (how fun, by the way) then it would be better not to be doing both at the same time. Your doing a stim next? Then you would definately need the rest. The TWW would fly by though :)

I know Vic, doing a cycle and taking over the shop will be crazy, I'll need to convince him it's better to do it before the madness begins. I have to do a stim cycle hun, don't have any frosties :(

Emma, I'm so sorry to hear today's HPT was BFN. :hug: I'm hoping that it was a faulty test or some other explanation. Will you be getting a repeat b/t today? With the pessaries, I found they kept AF away on my natural FET. They don't keep AF away for me for a stim cycle, but the natural cycle they do. AF showed up about 2 days after I stopped them.

Miss.B, doing the IVF while taking over a business sound like more stress than I'd deliberately plan to take on all at once. The only upside I can see is that you might be too busy to obsess over the IVF cycle. However, if I had plans to do 2 cycles, I'd be wanting to squeeze both into this year's safety net rather than waiting for July. GL convincing him. If his argument is about your mood swings on the meds, maybe ask if he thinks the added stress will make those mood swings better or worse!! ;)

Emma, im very sorry and I truly hope u feel better soon!

I have got my blood test results and it turns out I'm pregnant!
It seems so unreal!
Like in about 8 months time I'll be bringing a little baba home - I need to get a big book on babies!!
My HCG level was at 672 which the nurse was very happy with.
Best of luck to everyone else - I really thought this cycle didn't work for me as I had no symptoms but there you go!!

Sorry Emma :( Chemical pregnancies are not easy :( I am pretty sure pessaries have always held off AF for me, but i have spotted with crinone. Do you have a plan from here? Sometimes I find it's easier to deal with the pain and disappointment if I have a plan of attack as to what's next in mind. Take care :hug:

I would like to do another cycle ASAP, but I think my FS will want me to have a break.
I did this current cycle back to back after a stim cycle.
TBH- I probably knew from my first blood test, that this was not a viable pregnancy.
I'd like to do another natural thaw cycle, with progesterone pessaries after transfer. Or do you insert them before also?
Making a plan is taking my mind off things, thanks N2L.

Well I guess I am off to the TWW, although I don't even feel like I ovulated. I had a positive on the OPK on Sunday at around 1600 and again at 1900 so it was defiantly a positive but I have had not ovulation pain. Is it possible that I didn't ovulate?

Emma, hopefully you don't have to wait too long. :(

Mrs Mac, it's possible to get a +opk and not O, which is why they recommend temping to confirm the O. But it's also possible to O without feeling it, even if you normally do get O pain. Want me to put you on the list as O on Monday?

Yes please juniper, I guess I will just have to take my chances and hope I ovulated.

Got AF a few hours ago. So I guess I am cd 1-ish.

Has anybody had a miscarriage/chemical pg at this stage? (4 weeks, 5 days)
Will it just be like a period?

Yep. Just like a period. It just means the embryo started to implant but stopped, so technically it would be the same size as when it was transferred into you. Your period may be heavier than normal though due to the progesterone pessaries.

Emma, mine was a week later (5w4d) and the first few hours were very, very painful until I passed what had grown. After that it was actually lighter and less painful than my normal AF (but I hadn't used progesterone supplements) and the bleeding lasted a day or two longer than normal.

Larry, it's above average, but not excessively so. Could either mean twins or a just a nice strong singleton. You can never tell until the u/s. Either way, it's an excellent number. :)

Hi to everyone else.

I was in Adelaide yesterday and dropped into my FS clinic to pick up paperwork for my next FET. They said if no AF by CD40 to call them and they will bring on my AF. I can tell you I wont be waiting that long. If I have not got a positive OPK by CD30 then I will be calling them. I also spoke to her about switching FS to another one at the same clinic, and the lovely nurse said it was no problem. So I have made an appointment with the new one for the 12th of September. I will be close to doing transfer by then so it will give him a couple of weeks to come up with something new, should we need to do another stim. I also asked about Elonva and she said they are just about to start using it. So I was happy to hear that. The nurse said that the research on Elonva was coming in very positive and they have heard of good results. They have ordered it and are about to start using it. I still have my appointment with my old FS sometime this month, but not too sure if I will keep it. He is coming over so I dont have to fly to see him so may keep it just to see what he says. So in my down time I will concentrate on trying to lose weight and taking care of myself.

Sounds like you had a successful visit yesterday, Vic. :) FX you get that +opk soon.

It sounds like your appointment was promising Vic. I'm glad you dont have to wait too long to forge ahead. I mentioned the elonva to my new FS a couple of weeks ago and he sounded positive about it. He mentioned he was off to a conference to learn more so I will ask him again when I next see him.

AFM - plodding along. Back on the weightloss bandwagon *sigh*. I want to lose 10kgs (at least) before December's stim. We'll see how we go. I have started on my extra supplements - DHEA and melatonin. OMG, I have not slept so well in ages! Harder to get up though :lol: Luckily the extra coQ10 gives me more energy during the day. It's like I am on the Natural Elvis regime - pills to sleep, pills for energy :lol:
I cant remember if I posted about my NK cell biopsy result. They came back at a level of 16, "high" according to the FS. I think they are meant to be between 4-6 (so, I guess 5 :P). My FS wants to do the colorado protocol when I stim. More drugs into my poor body! More money out of my poor pocket!
He sent me a package of info in the mail which arrived yesterday. I have to have my E2, AMH and FSH tested today and then again in a couple of month's time (after I have been on the supplements for a while). It will be interesting to see if they make a difference at all. Then in two months I start the stem cell therapy. At $2k, it better make a difference :rolleyes:

I really am throwing everything at this next stim. I am a little worried it's all too much and it might backfire. I guess i just have to trust the FS. Hard though as he is new to me. But what else can I do?!

N2L - Interesting about your NK cell biopsy results. Imagine if thats what it is all along and your old FS didn't believe in it. I think its great you went to a new one. I hope that your results improve. I will be interested in you AMH results to see if they lift. I too am on the weight loss band wagon.

AFM - I got a very, very faint second line on my OPK yesterday afternoon. Both DH and I could see it, so we are hoping over the weekend something happens. I will keep testing each day.

I know how you feel Emma. I have to keep going too, otherwise I go crazy. Time seems to go so slow and yet so fast at the same time. If you doing an FET you still have a week or so to convince your FS to keep going. Although my FS made me wait a cycle after being pg.

If my levels are back to 0- and I feel well enough (emotionally) to do another FET, then I think I should be able to.

I never really get cramps with AF- clearly I have them today- did anyone else find the pain more manageable when moving around?
The second I sit down, I feel all achy.
