I was wondering the same thing about Clomid.. I have heard that it can cause a thin lining but my FS really thinks that it's the way to go. I think he said I will take the clomid to get my ovaries producing some hormones of their own and then take oral estrogen as well if we're not getting a good enough response.
I'm still really unsure if I should go ahead with a FET this cycle or skip a month or two, but I guess we have till Saturday to decide since I'm not supposed to start the clomid till then. If we do go ahead I'm considering tx both our blasts and being done with it... I don't want any more cycles!! In a really dark place at the moment... I don't know why I'm handling this so badly.. I just want it over with and I want to be done with TTC..

Oh Jasmine I hear you. I'm having one of those days too big black cloud hanging over me. My advice is trust your gut about the FET do what feels right deep down. My mom used to always say if in doubt, don't. I'm sure by Saturday you'll know what to do. Hugs

My fs prescribed progynova for my clomid cycles. I think I had to take it from day 7-14. Same reason re lining.

Jasmine, honestly, if you're in such a bad place at the moment, it sounds like maybe you need some time to grieve your failed cycle before moving on? It was a big disappointment and there's nothing wrong with needing some time to work through those emotions.

Jasmine, when I had last cycle I was doubt that the Menopur 1200IU is too strong for me because I read the instruction book there was 600IU one, but it was too late for me to make the other appointment with doctor and discuss it again because if I do that I will miss a cycle. I think when my doctor saw my result he knows he made a mistake. I know it is bad when you are doubt about doctor's instruction and you don't have time to have second opinion from the other doctor. But sometimes you don't know it is working on you or not until you tried. Sorry, I don't really know how to advice you, and you have to make decision to go ahead or not, it is hard.

Catyo, thanks for sharing your experience, I am going to buy some bicarbonate soda today. Could I ask where did you buy this USA Picot, from internet? I really want to make my stomach feel better before I start the other cycle. Hope you will have a nice holiday, after all these stress you deserve it. Actually I am going to organise my holiday to go overseas too.

Bestrong you can gey Bicarbonate of Soda and liquorice tea in supermarkets. And take a really good probiotic supplement like Inner Health Plus that really helped me. My TCM Practitioner advised me against Nexium and Zantac

Bestrong, l get it from ebay, they send it from America, just type "Sal de uvas Picot" in the search bar.
But Nexium, Bicarbonate Soda, Picot l use then when l want to have foods that l know l shouldnt, because they cause me heartburn, like bread (any flour), potatoes, coke, coffee, so the healthiest thing would be to be on a diet to avoid foods that cause you heartburn, l guess...

CatyO just looking at what you paid last cycle, the $750 for hospital was that your health insurance excess? I dont recall that being a listed fee from repromed.. :/ i was thinking that all i had to pay was my hospital excess and then anesthetics would be covered.. argh I feel like little extra's keep popping up and whilst my mum is paying for the cycle I dont want to ask her to pay all the incidentals But we are also on a very tight budget.

I have scan and bloods tomorrow so I will ask for more clarification.

Glorious, I changed my health insurance last year, so it covered Assisted Conception, the thing is that I didn't read that it would cover it only in a public hospital, not in a private hospital, very silly policy as I don't think a public hospital does IVF... so I had to change my health insurance coverage again and until next year will cover the IVF in a Private Hospital, so this time I had to pay $750 for the hospital and $350 for Anaesthetist and Medicare refund for the Anaesthetist was about $120. And I paid the Repromed gap too. I had 2 appointments with my FS and it was about $169 for each one, that's not included in the Repromed Gap either.
I hope this wasn't more confusing

Oh I just remembered I got a call from the clinic and they told me that they had good news and I didn't have to pay the hospital (Theatre for egg pick up) and the anaesthetist because the government would pay it, I cant remember what she said, something about a budget... then they called me like 1 hour later and said oh I am sorry, I gave you the wrong information, you will have to pay the theatre and Anaesthetist because the budget ran out...

Thanks Bunny and Catyo, I agreed it is better to take nature products rather than medication. I really appreciate both of you telling me this.

I bought Bicarbonate of Soda and Apple Cider Vinegar today from supermarket, and I have already taken half tea spoon Bi-Carb Soda (baking Soda) in water, it is not nice taste, but it seems alright, less gassy at the moment. I will know it is working or not tomorrow morning because I feel very gassy in the morning. I can't find the Liquorice tea, I looked in the tea section in Woolworth, I did not see this tea. Anyway how to use Apple Cider Vinegar to reduce acid? Put a little bit in the water and drink it? I will go to search this USA Picot on EBay, thanks for the information. I heard "Inner plus" is good, I am going to buy some tomorrow.

My stomach has been bad for nearly half a year and I had my Gastroscopy done and it says I had mild chronic gastritis and mild Oesophagitis. For doing IVF, I start and stop the medication, it doesn't help. So now I need to concentrate to make my stomach feel better.

Bestrong, l have 2 teaspoons of Apple Cyder Vinegar in half glasss of water, twice a day. Some people take it wit more water and drink it during the day.
Just remember the name is "Sal de uvas Picot"
I have had heartburn for a long time, have had some test and all are normal, they tested as well for celiac disease, something like that and was negative, the dr told me just to avoid what l know would make me feel sick and have a nexium only when l indulge in the "bad" food, so l would enjoy having pasta for dinner, then l had to enjoy a Nexium...or be ready to spend the night sitting on the bed and suffering... As Nexium is omeprazole you shouldnt take it if pregnant, so l avoided it after O.
Zantac doesnt do anything for me.

Bestrong you'll find liquorice tea in health food section of supermarket I think my brand is red seal. If not try a health food shop. try and take the bicarbonate soda after you eat and always drink water after meals HTP
