BW - it's always the way - you're expecting A or B, and then someone gives you C. God I hate that. I really don't like to count my chickens until they've hatched (and started chirping, AND signed a waiver to say that they have indeed hatched) however, in your case it really does look positive. I think everyone here has the same vibe. 2 more sleeps!
BG, thanks heaps for the advice. You're a champ.

no probs Rols - i think we all ask the same question before our first set of needles!

i'm not on anything. When we went to the ivf clinic in ballarat the doc said it takes 7 weeks all up.The list they gave me was Synarel and lucrin, but have decided to see a clinic in geelong where we are from i have a appointment in august.

BW - Sounds fantastic! My clinic won't even test for a blasty result until 2 weeks after transfer. You results are fantastic! Hope it just keeps climbing and climbing!

Looking good BW, I can't wait to hear the official news on Friday!!
-
Hi everyone
BW - great news and from what everyone is saying it is all looking very positive for you! I understand what you mean about being a black and white person - I am very much like that myself and can only begin to understand your frustration. Lots more positive vibes for Friday!
Rols - no the injections aren't difficult to give. As BG said, the nurses will demonstrate and ask you to practice (on a piece of foam) doing the injection. I don't have a needle phobia but then I had never given myself an injection before - I found I was most concerned about the actual needle which turned out to be virtually painless. It was the GonalF going in that stung - that was on the first day. On the second day, I took the injection out of the fridge about 20 mins before giving it and found this made a big difference! The other tip I have for you is don't rush it - make sure you wait a few seconds after all the clicks to ensure the liquid has gone in otherwise you might find your DW ends up with a big red welt at the injection site, as I did! If I can help with anything else, please let me know and I will offer what little experience I have with this.
To everyone, thanks for the congratulations. Maybe mine will be the beginning of more good news on this thread - certainly sounds like BW is holding up her end of the bargain!
Take care all, Cheryl.

That's awesome. Thanks Chez.
-
Owww BW - that's sooo cool. I don't think you are in limbo-land - i think you are in pg-land!! Wow - are you looking in the mirror and saying those words yet?!!
Congrats on the engagement Cheryl - sorry i missed it before
Ellie - I hope the antibiotics are doing the trick. I keep thinking of you
Holly - thanks again - you did make me laugh about the nat therapies - i thought 'hey, my mum has invaded Holly?!!' hehehe. In fairness it was my GP who made the 'egg' comment and she was reading a letter which my FS had sent her about the last cycle. I guess he said 'poor egg quality blah blah' and she jumped to thinking that it might be something that can't be overcome. I told her we WILL overcome it. Sorry that Antonia's meds taste so bad, but imagine how good it is for you both!!!
AF arrived. Yes i am still taking the BCP. Weird old body. So I keep taking the pill and i keep following the protocol, but I have to wonder if we'll get cancelled this time. AF came over a week late last cycle and it's a week early this time, and i was always 28 days like a clock. These drugs are annoying and my body won't do what it's told!!
-
Hey Kotare....I've been worried about you...good to hear from you. So AF arriving is good or not good...I'm not sure of your protocol...but I'm hoping for you that your body will do the right thing!!!! Keep us posted
I'm feeling better today...antibiotics seem to be settling everything down...just some spotting today...thank GOD!!! Yesterday I was told if things haven't settle down by Monday I may have to have another D&C...Nooooooo!!!!! Now I'm just stressed off my head waiting for the BiG boss to phone back and finalise everything for me...I'm so sick of waiting...waiting...blood tests...preg tests...now work...ahhhhh!!!!!
-
Thanks, Jo, Chez, Rols, everyone...
I'm floating around at the moment - this is all just so surreal!
Jo... you've started bleeding and you're still taking the BCP? Be careful! That's what happened to me and nearly landed me in hospital with excessive bleeding. If it starts getting heavier, don't rest until the clinic does something! I found that out the hard way - took ages to recover.
There's one thing that has occurred to me... I love this little corner of BB so much that I just don't want to leave! It's a big scary world out there in pregland... I'm not sure I'm ready for it!
I did find it amusing that I asked my clinic about the receipt for the cycle while I was in there this morning as I didn't have it yet... only to find it in the mail this afternoon! :p

BW...so happy that you're floating...good on you...we need you to go and pave the way for us in pregland...we'll meet you there xxx
-
BW - you will survive pg land! you're a stronger person than you give yourself credit for! plus you'll never really leave the AC corner - too many of us you've been following long term that you'll want to keep an eye on!
you'll find a new comfy corner and just visit this comfy corner every now and again...
-
BW - go forth into pg land - there are a few AC girls ahead of you and then look how many of us will be following up close behind.
Ellie - no AF arriving is not cool. Not yet anyway. The pill should have stopped it. I will keep a close eye on it (that's a weird thing to say !!), and if it gets out of hand i will call them back, BW. My actual concern is that i am scheduled to start jabs on the 22nd - which was meant to be CD 6, but it will now be CD 12. Seems too late in the cycle, but the nurse says the pill is still working (apparently!?!) and the 22nd will still be CD 6 according to them.
On a much happier brighter note, my big sis is 99.9% sure she is going to move to Melbourne (from Sydney). Seeing as my BIL & SIL just left Melbourne for Wellington (NZ) last week, i am kind of excited that i might have a bit of family near by. I told DH that if she does move here then i will tell her what we are doing - it might be nice to have a real-life confidant!!
-
i can so understand you wanting family close by Jo = my bro and SIL moved to WA around the same time we conceived angel number two and it was so hard having them so far away because we're al very close. we lost our baby a couple of weeks before they came home for christmas and our wedding. they left at around the same time we started going to the doctor about the AC journey, and i missed being able to chat with my SIL about everything for the first 10 months or so - they came back for good late last year and it's been brilliant knowing they're only 20kms away instead of 5500km's! i can drop in on my way home from work if i need to vent and SIL is great! i think i'd be lost i she were still in WA!
not a lot happening here - just waiting, rather impatiently, for my FS appointment next week - and praying that the niggling pains i've been getting in my tum are actually O pains - hasn't happened naturally in over 18 months, but who know with my body - it likes to defy understanding ....
-
hi BW - all sounds promising... i refuse to uncross any of my body parts until the second results friday.....
-
Hi all How is everyone going?
Well i have been a little down facing facts and with my uncles passing etc ( thanks for everyones kind wishes) But ffeeling a little up today, i have a lady at work also going through the same ivf clinic as me and i was wondering how long the whole process takes our appointment is 20th August, then i would say they have to book us in with nurse to sort it all out then wait for period then they will start straight away...does this sound right? i am hoping to start asap... aug/sept/oct at the latest?
Could anyone give me the low down on the process?? is it two weeks of drugs to ensure you ovulate and produce plenty of eggs?? or is that not needed then ...? when do you have to inject yourself and for how long? Sorry so many questions, just trying to get my head around it all
Hey Rols- so when is your next app?
BW- I am so excited for you hun...best of luck xo
and my thoughts and wishes are with all of you xo
