Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception June 2013

I have just spoken to my GP and fertility centre my FS comes back from holidays next week spoke to receptionist and they all want me to
wait a month after having the colonoscopy and endoscopy i'm just so disappointed its not funny I was really so excited to be starting this month:-(
The reason I have to have the colonoscopy and endoscopy is there is a lot of bowel cancer in my family and I have had terrible diarrhoea on and off
for the past 4 months which I did not think was that big of a deal till I mentioned it to my dr yesterday so she wants me to have procedures done
before starting ivf:-((

Aw rai I'm sorry about having to wait! I know how disappointing it is to think you finally can get started to only have to wait more! Oh we'll I hope it is worth the wait :D xo

Um question girls, I've got an appt. with my fs today, and well would you tell him you double dosed on the clomid he prescribed? It is the only time I've got a Bfp since last yr!
So I want to do it again lol, but it was an old script and I did it sneaky un monitored lol.
I feel a bit naughty haha :lol:

i am PUPO!!

Stats as follows - 11 fertilized, 1 good quality 4 call transferred :) and between 4 and 8 may freeze!! Oh my freaking goodness! Whatever happens with this transfer, I really feel like ill get pregnant from this cycle! With all those good embryos - surely one will stick :)

Hope all goes well for you Rai, it's a bugger you have to have it done but so important to do it. On my OH side of the family, there is bowel cancer too, they all have to be monitored (although my OH is sooooo lazy about it). GL hun x

Sarah, you could always say 'I've taken x amount by mistake, and I got a BFP, could the increased dosage worked???' GL to you too hunni x

Spotting is finally here, I'm really crampy so I think AF will be later today or tomorrow. It's always late without fail when I'm about to do the cycle. I think it's my body protesting! lol.

I was just wondering about your fert rates myturn!! Yay!!!!!! Congrats on being PUPO :) And I hope you'll have lots of embies to freeze, it's sooooo much easier to do FETs. There is no good reason why this cycle should not work. I will be praying hard sweets, it's surely YOUR turn now gorgeous lady :pray::goodluck::crossfingers:xoxoxoxo

I start my cycle yesterday and I start taking tablets Progynova 3 times a day. Last night I didn't sleep well, I don't know it is the tablets affect me or not.

Rai, that doesn't surprise me, but I know how disappointed you must feel now. I hope you get good results from the tests. If your diarrhoea is "on and off" does it match up with your cycle at all? I just ask because it can be a symptom of endo (I get diarrhoea every AF because I have a lot of endo damage to my bowel).

Sarah, I like Miss.B's suggestion. It think it's worth telling your Dr (since it worked!) but no harm in a little white lie about the details (as long as you don't falsify anything that's medically-relevant).

myturn, I didn't know it was Christmas?! Must be with those great results! ;) Congrats on being PUPO!

Bestrong, I haven't taken that one, but I've heard it can have some side effects. If it becomes excessive, probably best to give your Dr a call and discuss it. You don't want to be severely sleep-deprived when you're hoping for an embryo to stick...

Afm, day 3 on limited (refined) sugars (just 1-2 Oreos, no soft drink, no other sweets). Just have a few Oreos left and then it will be cold turkey time. Doing better than I expected, just a little headache at times. I've had so many false starts with this in recent months, but I actually feel like I can do it this time...

Juniper, I am doing the same thing but no grains and low carb too. I have started a FB page with recipes (as I make them) if you are interested??

Rai, I know it is frustrating but I think it is sensible to wait. You wouldn't want to be UTD and find out something was wrong (although I hope there isn't anything wrong!!!)

Well fs helped me feel really positive that I got a bfp saying even if it didn't stick it's still good sign and when I told him about taking an old Clomid script he was not even suprised lol, and I told him first time I felt o on my right (good tube) side he said that is good and wrote me out more Clomid script and he forgot if I needed 50 mg or 100mg and I just said 100 lol.
Darn it that Kurt won't be back at right time till August tho!
There is something I can do with the pill tho to manipulate my cycle a bit tho so I will see if that will help me at all, anybody do that to change o day??

You are right, I am on CD3. Thank you for your suggestion, I looked the paper, insomnia is not one of the listing side effects, but tiredness is one of the side effects ( I felt very tired today). I will wait for a few more days to see how I go, otherwise I will require to reduce the dosage.

I thought my Doctor reduced Pessaries to 400mg per day this time, but parently it is still 800mg daily (400mgx2) I just realised yesterday, I am not happy with it and I have to call my Doctor’s clinic’s nurse on next Tuesday. I will start use it after next Friday, so I still has time to talk to the clinic. I hate these kinds of hormone tablets, they all make me sick. I really hope I don't need to do more cycle anymore.....oh.....

Officially CD1 for me today, will start jabbing tomorrow. I think it's finally sinking in now, first u/s and BT is next week Friday. I got the 'flow' at 6.10 last night so the nurse said to count today as day 1 :)

Bestrong- my pessaries are only 100mg. Poor you!

Bestrong - this extremely long hrt fet cycle I am doing started with progynova 3x day and they gave me headaches and bloating within 3 days of taking them. It took about 2/3 weeks for my headaches to settle down. i was told not much the fs could do for me except i could take panadol/panadiene. I continued at that dose for 3 weeks then was changed to 2 tablets 3x day for following 2 weeks and also estradot patches (changing it every 2 days). I am still on all of this & now started progesterone pesseries yesterday and my dose is 400mg 3x day. Feeling like crap after the 2nd dose & night sweats and terrible sleep last night. Oh what fun this is ttc! I believe different clinic do different doses for every individual as all our hormones are different.

Yay for starting this cycle miss b.

Juniper can I please be moved to waiting for transfer section. I need to see some progress in my status to believe something is going to finally happen. Thanks hun

Hi all... Newbie here :)

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. I am currently CD2.. I have just moved on from iui to ivf. Had my first Elonva injection yesterday and am booked for my first follie scan next Wednesday :)

Well, the jab is done ladies, now waiting till Tuesday when I start the orgalutran and then the first scan on Friday. Was so nervous the whole time before I jabbed, wondering if I can really do this all over again, but I got pretty excited just after I did it. It's a new drug for me so I hope it doesn't cause much bad havoc in there ;) Just plenty of good eggies please :rolleyes:

Miss B- I start Orgalutran on Tuesday too.. I have a DD from a previous relationship who was conceived via ivf. Back then I was on Synarel & Puregon so I'm finding Elonva really strange.. It's funny not doing daily injections!

Juniper, Hummingbird & CatyO- Hope the TWW is being kind to you.

AFM- Has anyone ever done an ivf cycle without AF visiting first? My last cycle was Gonal F & iui. Following my negative beta the FS called me in for a scan as I had been getting AF type cramps and light spotting since a couple of days post iui. He said my lining was really really thin and there was not really anything there to 'shed during AF' so they had me start my injections straight away and put me down as CD1. Has anyone heard of this before?

It seems the steroids, clexane and the multitude of vitamins have done the trick...I did a HPT today (same DPO I got my BFP with my son) and it was + feeling so blessed at the moment and looking forward to the blood test to get some numbers...

CatyO - I hope all went well with the transfer, I hope the TWW goes quickly for you.
